Chapter 90: A New Problem Arises
"Well you see while we were out I was playing with some of my new skill I got after I awakened. I made Mia some daggers and enchanted them, then I got the idea to do the same for myself and enchant it with something that would help me." Thea said as she showed the ring she was wearing.
"" Both Lily and Elize didn't say anything, when they finally processed what Thea had just said, they closed the books and threw them away before sighing in relief.
'No more books!' Both Lily and Elize thought.
"Your skills level must be quite high for you to be able to make mithril." Elize said as she stared at the ring Thea was wearing.
"Ohh, their levels are maxed out but more importantly what are we eating tonight?" Thea asked with a bright smile.
Everyone's eye twitched when they heard what Thea had just said.
'What do you mean more importantly, there is nothing more important than having a skill at the highest level, even Lily and me who have lived for a long time only have a few skills mastered.' Elize thought.
'I don't even have a skill at level 4 yet' Mia thought.
Mia had worked hard during her upbringing and thought she was among the strongest of her age, but since she met Thea, she had been humbled again and again. Her pride and what little arrogance she had disappeared and instead a burning passion to grow stronger appeared.
Realistically she was among the strongest of her age, Thea was just Thea.
Thea then smiled awkwardly and looked at her mother. Lily had met her daughters gaze and when she looked at the card she was holding, she remembered something her daughter had mentioned many years ago.
*Slap* Everyone looked at the source of the sound only to see Lily's hand planted on her forehead.
"Aiya, you little minx." Lily said as she helplessly looked at her daughter.
Everyone looked at Lily, then at Thea, then at her card and then at Thea again. The two girls still didn't understand what was wrong between Lily and Thea.
"You will be staying at the academy starting tomorrow so it isn't urgent yet, I'll look for a solution." Lily said, sighing again as she started thinking about the mountain of books she was going to read.
"Ohh and you haven't been forgiven for going out like that." Lily said as she looked at Thea's 'clothes'.
"What's wrong with them?" Thea asked Lily with an innocent smile.
"You little Argh! One problem after the next." Lily said, getting angrier as she thought about it.
Mia who understood nothing about what was happening was utterly confused, Elize knew about the 'clothes' but was equally confused about the identification card issue.
Before either Mia or Elize could ask anything about it the food had been brought to the table, Lily then started explaining about the academy and soon the need to ask about the answers to their original questions was quickly replaced with questions about the academy.
Dinner lasted for 2 hours, after that Lily went to her room and the girls were led to their own room, when they entered, Elize closed the door and Mia and Thea were left alone.
