"One hundred!"
"One fifty!"
"Two fifty!"
The otakus were instantly grateful that Helix separated their bidding rights.
"Five hundred!"
"Six hundred!"
"Six fifty!"
Helix glided his eyes to his partners.
Charlotte was crying on the inside.
She could barely contain her excitement.
Riley was giggling her face off.
Marie she was trying to hold everyone else together.
Once the shock wore off, she knew that the Earthians would roar with laughter.
He gilded his eyes to Eliza and gave her a look that said [I warned them].
Eliza burst into giggles.
"Eight hundred!"
Helix panned his eyes around the audience.
A professional auctioneer handled the nobles' auctioning while he was handling his people.
He was grateful because he was losing his mind.
"Sold!" The auctioneer announced.
Helix started clapping with a straight face, and Marie and Riley did the same.
The Earthians were losing their minds as well.
Marie had instructed everyone not to laugh their head off when the nobles bought items.
However, they were cracking like a dam, so Helix had to act quickly.
"Congradulations on the first purchase of Earthian clothing anywhere!" He roared.
The noble cried out in excitement, and suddenly everyone realized the true importance of the event.
The unexpected win for the woman fueled their competitive spirit.
Helix was grinning when he saw their bloodlust.
"Next up! We have the first item from the Samma's Earthian Collection!" He roared.
The audience calmed down instantaneously.
Helix took a large rack out of his item storage.
The Earthians gasped when they saw the covering.
They knew in an instant what the item was.
The nobles saw their gasps, and they got excited.
He was pulling out the [first] item of the Samma's Earthian Collection.
Helix wouldn't present something weak.
"Ladies and Gentlement. Respectable nobles, and degenerate otakus!" He yelled out with a serious voice.
While many snickered, Helix didn't stop.
"This clothing item rules Earth!" He announced.
"It's worn by world leaders, business titans, and everyone trying to look as sharp and professional as possible!"
The nobles' eyes were trembling.
The otakus looked self conflicted.
"It is the clothing of power! Prestige! Wealth! Strength!
And every other sign of success imaginable!" Helix roared.
He removed the covering.
"This is a suit! The sharpest, most presentable form of fashion on earth!"
The audience burst into applause.
The otakus were much weaker in their presentation for obvious reasons.
However, something had [changed] in them.
Many were beautiful now, and most had power.
They had status and wealth.
The illusive clothing they once hated was now alluring.
"The otakus here had no desire for power before they came here.
So they're not as excited as items in the otakus collection." Helix explained.
"However! Feast upon their raw, conflicted emotions!"
The nobles started looking at the Earthians with unbridled excitement.
Eliza narrowed her eyes.
She could see their trembling eyes.
"This suit represents things that are unobtainable by commoners!
Those who wear a suit travel through the skies and live in buildings one thousand feet off the ground!
They own small islands and have large mansions!
The people that wear these suits are untouchable!" Helix explained.
The nobles were salivating at the items.
"However! Look at them now!
They have money, wealth, prestige, strength, and power!
Many are gorgeous and handsome beyond recognition.
You see how excited we are about our comfort items, and we're proud!
However, they are now looking at this charcoal gray suit as if it had the power of a war god!"
The nobles started shaking in excitement.
The otakus, who had their feelings put into words, looked at each other with excitement.
"This is the most powerful piece of clothing on earth and the reason it's the first item offered from Samma's Earthian Collection!"
Helix panned the crowd.
"Bidding starts at five hundred gold.
If you want this suit, you have to commit to it!" He roared.
"You may begin!"
"Six hundred!"
"Six twenty five!"
"Six fifty!"
"Eight hundred!"
"Eight fifty!"
The nobles stared at the otakus with disbelief.
Their loving, laughing faces were gone.
Everyone had resolve in their eyes.
Respect.
Desire.
Yearning.
Everyone wanted to show that they were different than before.
"One thousand!"
"One thousand one hundred!"
"One thousand fifty!"
When some people bowed out, they had disappointed faces.
"Two thousand!"
The group became silent.
That number proved a person's resolve.
The Earthians had earned four thousand gold in four months.
They were paid five hundred every two weeks.
So someone spent most of their savings on the item.
Helix panned the audience.
"The first suit is sold to Leo!" He announced.
"Leo! Tell Alzeria the reason that you bought this suit!
Do it confidently, as that is what you desire!"
Leo was shaking, but he steeled his expression after Helix's firm encouragement.
"I want to get stronger! I don't want to be weak anymore!" Leo yelled.
Helix gave the young man a bright smile.
"Good man, Leo. You will get strong now." He said with a warm gaze.
Leo started tearing up slightly.
Helix panned the skyboxes again.
"A suit is a symbol! It's a sign of your dedication to power!" He explained.
"It's not necessary to always wear one.
But it's a tool in your arsenal to have when you must look, feel, and act confident!
Leo! That is a strong show of your resolve, and I'm proud of you!"
Helix started clapping, and soon the other Earthians joined in with emotional faces.
There was a standing ovation, and the nobles joined in.
The scene genuinely moved them.
"Do you see [why] it's special to complete the Earthian story?
Can you feel the emotion resonating from Samma's vision?" Helix asked the nobles.
Thunderous applause rocked the auction house.
Every noble was cheering, and tears welled in their eyes.
"Leo." Helix called out with a gentle smile.
"We'll have a tailor take your measurements, we'll give you the ideal suit, and then they'll modify it, so it looks classy."
Leo's eyes lit up.
"So you can't have this now. It'll come soon.
Let's hear it one more time for Leo!"
Deafening applause met Helix's words.
Leo choked up when he saw the gentle gazes of all of the otakus.
It was a joyous moment for everyone.
"Nobles. Who wants to bid exclusively on this item?" Helix asked with a slight smile.
The answer was instantaneous.
Green.
Unanimous.
"Excellent. You heard my statement before!
While every item starts at one coin, this one is special!" Helix announced.
"To wear one, you must commit to buying it for the minute you see it!
I started it at five hundred for these young men and women.
Your number is different and will show your dedication."
Helix panned the skyboxes with a serious expression.
"Starting bid is two thousand.
It's the number that showed the resolve of Leo Arkwright!
If you don't have more resolve than this young man, you do not have the right to wear this sign of power and prestige!"
Thunderous battle cries came from the nobles.
Everyone in the listening party was feeling anxiety.
They couldn't see the legendary-grade item from Earth.
Every atom of their being was crying out in anguish.
Tomorrow they would see.
Tonight they would learn its value.
"You may begin!" Helix roared.
"Three thousand!"
"Four thousand!"
"Five thousand!"
"Five Thousand Five Hundred!"
"Six thousand!"
Helix closed his eyes and relished the sound.
He thought he had made a fortune on the tickets.
However, the amount a queen paid for a half-trench and yoga pants with Markov scales was weak compared to this.
Samma was raking it in something savage.
Still, it felt bitter-sweet.
"Eight thousand!"
"Nine thousand!"
…
"Fifteen thousand!"
Helix panned the audience and waited for the auctioneer to call it.
"Sold!" The auctioneer announced.
"Sir! What is your name!" Helix called out.
"Smith Jacobson!" The noble cried with a joyous expression.
"What does it feel like to be the first noble… the first person of power in Myriad… to buy the clothing of power and prestige from another world!?"
"... A-Amazing!" Smith cried.
Helix started clapping vigorously.
His partners followed.
Soon there was a standing ovation.
