Yoonshin now knew what Sehun’s reactions were like. Sehun had a natural talent for agitating people. Sehun Kang was ignoring Yoonshin on purpose.
At this point, Yoonshin thought that he needed to say this at least once. He gnawed on the tender skin of his bottom lip as if he were chewing Sehun out, then he bent over and stuck his head back in the car.
“I gave you two chances. Just don’t regret it later.” After passing off the ball, he slammed the car door shut. He greeted the driver respectfully and turned around without looking back. To be honest, he was a bit disappointed at Sehun for acting like it wasn’t his business. Yoonshin couldn’t sleep well since the day the other man’s lips touched his and wondered how Sehun could act this way despite being the instigator.
Angry, Yoonshin stomped off as fast as he could. But by the time he reached the elevator, he heard a quiet and prudent sound of heels behind him, making him stop. While he stood perplexed, his shoulders were grabbed.
When he turned around, surprisingly, Sehun was standing in front of him.
“Senior Attorney?” Yoonshin asked in surprise.
“Fourth-year. You seem to want an explanation for that day, so I’ll give it to you. That was my mistake. Also, I don’t want my life to have any flaws.”
Yoonshin, shocked by the answer, chuckled hollowly. “Did I ask you to make excuses? I don’t need that. I just…!”
“I don’t care if you want an excuse or a confession. Regardless of any of that, I’m just telling you not to shake me up. It’s getting harder for me to hold back.”
His explanation was roundabout, but the main point was simple. Sehun was being shaken up by Yoonshin. Yoonshin didn’t quite believe it, but apparently, Sehun was holding back something, and it was hard on him. Sehun’s labyrinthian heart was opaque to Yoonshin. And perhaps Yoonshin finally lost his mind because when he heard that, he wanted to know more intimately about the inner workings of the other man’s mind.
Yoonshin was dumbstruck from trying to get a grip on his turbulent mind and missed his chance to reply. Sehun calmly added, “Don’t forget that you’re someone that I can always fire.”
Did he mean Yoonshin should never bring this topic up again?
“Are you threatening me?” Yoonshin asked.
“Yeah. If you get it, go back to work.”
Just when Yoonshin thought he could finally take a step toward closing the gap between them, Sehun immediately threw him another threat-like warning. Yoonshin wasn’t blatantly refused often, so he had no idea how to react after being coldly rejected twice.
Yoonshin swallowed back his humiliation, clenched his jaws, and tried to laugh it off nonchalantly. “Yes, I understand. Have a safe trip.”
Yoonshin bowed and stood for a while. Sehun stared at him for a moment, then he walked away. The figure of his flexible back grew smaller until he got in the car and disappeared from Yoonshin’s view.
Only after the rumbling motor of the car disappeared from the garage completely did Yoonshin pull down the trembling corners of his lips.
Thinking back to what Sehun said, Yoonshin got enraged too late. “Did he just call me a flaw in my face? What am I, the error of his life?”
Who was the one who shook Yoonshin up by doing things like kissing his necktie in the first place? Sehun did everything as he liked, and now, he called it a mistake?
Yoonshin’s judgment of Sehun that he started to carry in his heart was not wrong.
Sehun was a sadist.
“B*stard. F*ck you,” Yoonshin cursed, then he indignantly got on the elevator that was waiting for him all along.
