Just then, there was a knock from the outside. Yoonshin jolted in surprise, and his eyes fluttered open. Sehun, who was immersed in his passionate kiss, slowly opened his eyes as well. At the same time, Yoonshin pushed Sehun with all his might. While Sehun looked incredulous that he was pushed away, Yoonshin glared while redoing his shirt button.
“What’s with that dirty glare?” Sehun asked.
“Don’t you hear the knocking?” Yoonshin replied.
“I do,” Sehun said to his partner, who was still recovering from the aftermath of their kiss. Then, he said a bit louder to the guest outside his door while staring at Yoonshin with narrowed eyes, “Yes, come in.”
Yoonshin shot him a reproachful glare, his eyes asking why Sehun would let another person in so soon. When the door opened, Yoonshin bent over, pretending to pick up some documents on the ground as he wiped off the saliva that dribbled down his chin.
When Yoonshin looked up, he saw the uninvited guest—Secretary Tak. The secretary smirked as he saw Yoonshin stare absently with his face red. “Is it that hot inside? If you press this button, you can lower the temperature.”
Embarrassed, Yoonshin snapped back, “I’m fine. I just choked on water… I’m really all right.”
Secretary Tak looked at Yoonshin, doubt in his eyes, but shortly after, he turned to look at Sehun instead. “Attorney Song is asking if you can meet her for a moment. She’s in the VVIP meeting room upon finishing her meeting.”
“She wants to see me separately? So there must be something that she wants to tell me alone.”
“I requested for her to set up the meeting with Youngjin over the intercom just now, and she asked that you prepare a report about the acquisition and come up to the room. She said she’ll listen to what you have to say first before deciding to help.”
“As I expected, nothing is free with Attorney Song. I got it. You can go now.”
After bowing, Secretary Tak left and closed the door behind him. Yoonshin, who was unable to cool the heat in his cheeks until then, gave Sehun a dirty look. Sehun haughtily nodded his chin at him, challenging him what was wrong.
“You should at least give me a warning so I can gather myself. Aren’t you too… Ugh!” Yoonshin started but was interrupted.
Sehun flexibly reached out and grabbed Yoonshin’s face, placing a gentle kiss on his lips. Suddenly caught off-guard by his attack again, Yoonshin was frustrated, so he slapped the other’s arm with the file folder. Sehun let himself be hit for a while, then when Yoonshin’s actions started to dwindle, he frowned. “What’s with this rebellion?”
“My entire mouth was drenched—what if Secretary Tak thought it was weird?! He’s really quick to catch onto things!”
“What do you think? You would be embarrassed. Why did you drool like that in the first place?”
At a loss for words, Yoonshin let out air in incredulity. “Wow. Seriously, wow… So, this is how selfish a person can be. Even a narcissist would do better than you. I’m realizing once again that I’m going down a rough and thorny path.”
Staring at Yoonshin with a straight face, Sehun chuckled.

The VVIP meeting room on the highest floor of the firm’s building was decorated more lavishly and elegantly than the rest of the firm’s interior. The intention to prevent information from leaking out was materialized in the sealed and windowless room. This space was usually reserved for important clients where the ultimate claim amount reached the billions. This was also where Sehun and Mihee were sitting side by side with a table in front of them.
