"What is good against rock?" Jin asked as he saw utilised a magic eye spell to see the ongoing battle against the Demonic Rock Giant.
"Was it Paper?" Kraft smirked knowing that he was practically asking to be beaten up since he answered so stupidly.
"Paper might have worked if we can throw that Demonic Rock Giant away." Jin continued to entertain Kraft and in turn, it did reduce the excitement that Kraft had previously.
"Urgh, then they could just use explosions since you had given them the joy that explosive powers is the road to victory." Kraft sighed as he watched how the Commando Mages were now circling around the Demonic Rock Giant and blasting explosives against it. However, it seemed like it was not working as intended.
"While I do like Peppers' way of doing things does not mean that explosions will solve everything," Jin commented and Kraft gave a loud laugh.
"What lies. If everything can be solved through explosion, you would already have done that." Kraft said as they could really see that more defensive protection circles emerged from the Demonic Rock Giant to guard itself against these monstrous explosive attacks. In return, it was also casting Huge Rock Spears to throw against Commando Mages that were encircling him.
They initially thought that it was a joke of a magic spell until they realised that the rocks were able to splinter and realign themselves so that they could hit their target more accurately once more. It was then the Commando Mages had to evade once again and destroy the rock splinters before they could once more break into multiple splinters and aim for them.
At that point of time, the Demonic Rock Giant even shot a huge burst of laser from its eyes in an attempt to kill anything in its field of view. This made the Commando Mages felt like they were playing an arcade game of dodging just as they had experienced during their training. And because they were fairly familiar with the dodging game, they had also decided to return fire.
From the isolation barrier to the Rifle Mages, if they were unsure if their magic spells and attacks could destroy or injure them, rendering the Commando Mages to be a little incapable of handling such an EX-F Rank monster.
"Just fill the knife with your magic and stab the monster with this. It should work. Of course, the stabbing will destroy the equipment so bring a few with you in case the first one was not up to your expectation." Jin explained and No. 8 felt lost. However, it seems like the Commando Mage Leader understood what Jin was doing.
"Roger that. We will deal the killing blow." No.4 said as he saluted and took the box with him while already asking No.8 to equip her rifle with the knife.
"Do you have any idea what to do with a knife? I mean, I believe we can penetrate it but what can the knife do? You understood what the King was asking?" No. 8 rambled on after they moved away from the tent that housed the King and Kraft.
"He already gave the answer. Put magic into the knife and stab the monster. I see no reason why it cannot work." No. 4 smiled as he sent the comms to request for the northern portion of the isolation barrier to open and for the two Commando Mage leaders to sortie.
"You nasty fellow. Where did you learn how to create such a deadly weapon?" Kraft said as he secretly swiped one for himself and studied the knife that Jin had given them a box full of it.
"I just readjusted the perception of a claymore into a knife. That's all." Jin smiled as he was ready to see the surprised looks in his Commando Mages. "But rather than the death of the Demonic Rock Giant, I am more interested in what the corpse of the Demonic Rock Giant can offer."
At that point, Mr Hammer who was hanging beside Jin's waist felt a shiver through the entirety of his body.
