Name:Obey Me Author:
Nathaniel, My Love

#2

Anyway, Kyrie succeeded in not running away.  It took her a while, but she faced Nathaniel.

Naturally, Kyrie thought that their history would be written the next day.  Nathaniel was a gentleman, polite, and had about a day to spare for Kyrie.

It was Rubinia, a new member of Orewinbridge, who was honorably acclaimed as “a family born to hinder him.”

“Some people say they starve because they don’t know the compassionate system.”

When she stopped by for tea, Rubinia grumbled. It was dark under her eyes.

“There is no way to quickly and widely publicize the system. The illiteracy rate is not high, but there are many places in the west where roads are not maintained, so there is no news at all…..  Is there any way to contact someone who is far away? Wizards and magic stones are so precious, damn….”

She, a local aristocrat, seemed to be more concerned because there was a time when she dug potatoes. The maids standing in the back were looking at the Empress who claimed to work overtime with worried eyes.

“You’ll get hurt working like that.”

Rubinia put her hand on her stomach in surprise. Her expression was sullen. It was quite cute to see a woman with a cute impression doing that.

“I know, but these rotten aristocrats don’t cooperate at all.….”

Through conversations over the past few years, Kyrie realized that, in Rubinia’s eyes, the capital nobles could only be seen as pigs with fat in their stomachs.

Rubinia is a woman who has also grown hard-crops with her own hands. The nobles who did not want to get a drop of water on her hand had no choice but to twist, and the nobles did the same. In some cases, even if there was protection from the Lord Protector, they ignored orders and bribes so they could not be revealed.

That, of course, is for Rubinia to solve.  However, the dark under the eyes of a pregnant woman carrying a child was not a good look.

Kyrie put down the teacup.

“Okay. Let’s put the problem of long-distance communication aside for now, and I’ll go to the urgent place right now.”

“You?”

“I’ll leave right away today…… I think I can finish it by tomorrow morning. I need to ask Nathaniel if he wants to fill the table…….”

Kyrie counted her fingers and nodded.

“It’s possible. Tell me what I need to deliver.”

“Uh…”

Rubinia rolled her eyes. Behind the gooseberry-colored eyes, it seemed that the time was passing by quickly. She soon nodded.

“It’s an emergency, so I can’t help it. I beg you. I won’t ask you this next time, so please help me.”

Kierier smiled.

She informed Nathaniel of the news, and Nathaniel put on the most dissatisfied expression she had ever seen.  He was smiling, but coldness dripped down.

[Why you?]

“I’m the Lord Protector. I’m trying to live up to my name.”

[The Lord Protector does not participate in politics]

“There is no political intention because it is a relief for the poor.”

[But with your step forward, people will also be aware of the mythical beings behind the royal family. Usually, it would be good propaganda, but the royal authority is still insufficient, so it is not a beneficial decision from a distance. In the end, Orewinbridge managed to allow their name to be raised through Lord Protector]

“Saving people comes first. I also think that’s right.”

[Isn’t it because you’re awkward with me?]

Kyrie, who looked surprised for a moment, laughed jokingly.

“Nathaniel, do you want to come closer?”

Kyrie pulled Nataniel’s hand.

“Look at my hand.”

Nathaniel was taken aback secretly. She put his hand on her left chest. It was precisely above the chest where the heart was, but it was meaningful when you consider that “something like that” happened anywhere during the day.

Is this a signal or not? Nathaniel squinted his eyes without making a hasty judgment.

Kyrie whispered.

“Don’t you think you’re running like crazy?”

The answer was no. He laughed out loud.

[Yes.]

“It’s awkward, but it’s not that I don’t like it.….”

Kyrie blurred the end of the sentence. The hand was still on her heart. It is big enough to easily grasp her breast with one hand.

Kyrie, who looked around for a moment like a squirrel, looked up at Nataniel with clear and pure eyes.

“Do you want to touch it?”

Nathaniel was momentarily at a loss for words.  He inadvertently let out a very sincere sigh.

[Kyrie Buchanan…….]

“You only put Buchanan on me when it’s annoying.”

Kyrie laughed softly.  She then removed his hand that had rested on her chest, and grabbed it with both her hands.

“Will you wait for a day?”

With a sun-like smile on the sea, Nathaniel cannot refuse. He sighed once and kissed Kyrie’s forehead as if stamping.

[See you later]

***

Kyrie’s short journey ended in a shorter time than originally planned.

She quickly announced where there were various relief systems and where the branches for people were installed, and then returned to the capital. It would have taken a month to use the royal wizard.

Kyrie, who came to the balcony very early in the morning, was greeted by Rubinia after waking up.

“Thanks, I got some sleep…..Thank you so much, I thought I was going to die….”

Kyrie grinned at the face of relief.

“That’s a relief. I was worried that my husband might have caused a disturbance.”

“Yawn, he was surprisingly quiet.”

Rubinia draped her shawl and tapped her lips.

“I didn’t even get the news that he left the palace, but I don’t think he’d be there just because he wasn’t seen in the first place.….”

“That’s all I need to know. Thank you.”

“That’s what I’m going to say.”

Rubinia yawned and went back to fill the rest of her sleep. Kyrie headed to the assigned room.  He is like the sea and does not move easily.  He will be in the place that sent her away.

But…

“…..There’s no one?”

Kyrie looked around the room and murmured.  The bed was clean everywhere. The only traces of a human being are the traces she left behind.

Kyrie realised how much meaning Nathaniel had in their home.

In the study of the beautiful mansion, books read by Nathaniel are gently placed on the table. Sometimes he played chess alone, and the position of the chess horse was different every time she saw it.

The second softest sofa in the mansion has a fixed seat next to the bed. There, Nathaniel looks down at her asleep or pats her forehead.

Nathaniel trims the cottonwood trees in the courtyard, and in summer picks hydrangeas and places them in a glass vase.

Kyrie suddenly misses the house where the four seasons are meaningless.

“Nathaniel?”

She left the room calling her husband’s name. She can use her powers, but she didn’t even have to do that.

Kyrie’s steps soon left the palace and continued to Rubinbury Garden.

The Rubinbury Garden was a very large private garden Eden created for Rubinia. Thanks to Rubinia for lending this to Kyrie as a whole, there were no people.

The foggy forest and lake was beautiful. It was drizzling, but it was so soft that there was no sound of falling onto the surface.

Kyrie found Nathaniel there.  From the moment she saw him from afar, Kyrie unknowingly used magic to step into the air a span above the ground.

The mighty beast that commanded the permafrost was gathering its forelimbs neatly and quietly gazing at the view of the mist-soaked lake. The blue eyes under the fur-like eyelashes of the black beast twinkled from afar. The posture on the broad shoulders and the stout arms and legs were perfect in every part, as if someone deliberately created it that way.

As such, it is beautiful at first glance, but there is a delicate atmosphere that makes you recede. Like a black horse encountered in the fog.

As such, when he is left alone, when the reins he holds for the little humans are loosened, a murky shadow behind him sways along with the fog.

Step.

But as Kyrie’s foot stepped on the lawn, it (her magic) was instantly sucked into Nathaniel’s shadow.  A beautiful man whose heart was pounding raised his head.

[Kyrie.]

A man who looked like a peony when standing, a peony when sitting, and a lily when walking, smiled. It was a seductive smile without any signs of vulgarity. Like cherry blossoms that one sees at night.

[Are you back?]

“I’m back.”

[I don’t think you got hurt]

“I didn’t get hurt.”

The two stood silently by the lake and looked at the foggy lake. It was a chilly winter morning, but no breath came out. It is very meticulous.

After a moment of silence, Kyrie immediately brought up the subject.

“Nathaniel, do you have any thoughts of wanting to have children?”

Nathaniel made a slightly surprised face, but soon calmed down.
