CH 91

Name:Obey Me Author:
He Finally Understood

At that moment, the wind fluttered with a blue light. Nathaniel, who suddenly appeared, covered Kyrie’s eyes and whispered softly in her ear.

[Sleep for a moment.]

Kyrie lost her mind. Holding her collapsing body in his arms, Nathaniel wiped her forehead with a very calm face.

[The fever is high.]

He murmured, blue eyes turned to MarryAnne.

[Now your master’s physical condition is none of your business.]

MarryAnne’s body trembled.

“The young lady gave the order that she must work……”

[She should have rested.]

“But MarryAnne is afraid that she will make a mistake again……”

[Do you close your eyes to responsibility because you are afraid of making mistakes?]

MarryAnne squeezed her eyes shut. Because she knew Nathaniel was right.

Nathaniel sighed as if it was uncomfortable. It was such a seductive look that made everyone who watched it sigh at the same time.

[Take her and lay her down.]

“yes, yes….”

MarryAnne took the dog-shaped doll out of her arms and enlarged it. She reverently placed her Kyrie on it’s back. Kyrie disappeared into the building like a sleeping princess.

The legendary lord, who had been watching her disappear until the end, turned his head.

[Vermont.]

The Marquis of Vermont, Valencia, opened his eyes at the call. His eyes looked like they were about to pop out, and there was a blood clot around his neck. If someone gave him a chance to bite off Nathaniel’s neck, he wouldn’t hesitate.

“Legendary……”

[Yes.]

Nathaniel let out a long sigh, tilting his head languidly.

[Let’s listen to what you are so excited about.]

The Marquis of Vermont snorted with an angry face.

“I, Valencia Delano Vermont, challenge the Legend Nathaniel for a duel between knights to knights!”

[Duel?]

“Yes!  It’s a true swordsmanship game in which either side’s life must be lost to decide the winner or the loser!”

The people who became spectators were agitated. The Marquis of Vermont can never beat the legend. Knowing this, the marquise’s eyes gleamed with a desire to defeat him.  It was as if he truly believed he could defeat him.

But Nathaniel looked down at the Marquis with a face that showed a subtle contempt beyond the mournful moment.

[Is that all?]

“What?”

[Are you making a big scene just to play pranks like that? Times have changed a lot.]

“Scene……I?”

[The first Vermont also seemed to have some problems with his ears, but so are the later generations.]

Nathaniel shifted his gaze towards the building as if he wanted to leave. The beard of the Marquis of Vermont trembled at his disrespectful attitude.

“Are you ignoring me now?”

[It’s boring.]

“Legendary Lord! I’m telling you to keep the chivalry!  If you are truly a legend……!”

[Noisy.]

“Fight me! Take my spear! Arghhh”

[You don’t know it either.]

Nathaniel lowered his eyes. Long eyelashes, which seemed easy to put up branches, went up and down as they blinked.

[I’m not the kind of person you’re supposed to use to make it easy.]

“Legendary!”

The Marquis let out a roar that even felt like madness.  But Nathaniel turned around coldly and looked at Chairman Temer.  And he gave orders dryly without giving a single glance to those who were guarding them.

[Lock him up.]

“Yes? Yes……That, but…….”

“Legendary Lord, you demon! Face me! I’m telling you to face it! My son’s enemy!”

[With the gag too.]

It seemed that Vermont’s desperation was not heard at all by him. Nathaniel entered the building with a refreshing gait as if she had left for a walk.

***

When Nathaniel reached Kyrie’s bedroom, MarryAnne had just come out of the room.

[Kyrie?]

“That, that……”

Looking at her stuttering, it seemed she couldn’t do her job again.  Nathaniel looked down at MarryAnne indifferently.

“S, she said she was going to work, coffee…….”

Nathaniel let out a faint smirk. He purposely put her to sleep for a while, but even after waking up, it’s work. She is a workaholic addict.

[And you left her alone?]

“B, but MarryAnne doesn’t want to be hated by her…….Last time she was right……..”

[I should congratulate you. You have been prioritizing your little heart that doesn’t want to be hated and eats away your master.]

There seemed to be no intention to deny that.  The maid, who was holding the hem of her skirt, and her pathetic eyes, immediately cried desperately.

“M, Mr. Nathaniel, please stop her…….!”

Nathaniel’s head tilted forward. It had been a long time since he heard something that made him want to kill. He refused in a word of appreciation about the presumptuous request.

[What a surprise]

“That, that!”

MarryAnne shrugged her shoulders and trembled. She said as she trembled in fear while glancing at the door where Kyrie was supposed to be.

“For Mr. Nathaniel it doesn’t matter if she hates you….”

Looking down at the black eyes ready to cry, Nathaniel felt a faint irritation.

It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter.

(T/N: The two words said in MarryAnne’s sentence resonated in Nathaniel’s mind)

But he’s not the kind of person who listens to other people’s requests. Nathaniel soon turned to a cold, heartless face.

[Back off.]

MarryAnne dropped her head and walked away.

There was only Nathaniel in front of the door. He raised his hand to knock on the door at the polite end, but soon quit. It’s not his cup of tea to have a war of nerves with a patient. So he just chose to seep into the shadows.

The room was dark. Thick brown non-rod curtains covered half the sun. Kyrie Buchanan was sitting in front of a desk with her back against the window. She probably thought that dying at work was a virtue.

Because her room was full of shadows, Nathaniel was able to get close to Kyrie without much difficulty. Nathaniel, slowly approaching her one step at a time, realized that Kyrie was not moving at all.

Did she faint while sitting?

He got so impatient that he almost showed himself.

But Nathaniel later realized that she was just doing nothing. And slowly and surely he felt the blood chilling all over his body.

Kyrie was completely expressionless.  With her big, blinkless eyes, she looked like a well-made porcelain doll.  In that state, without a word or movement, she stared into the air.

It felt like he had been stabbed in the back of his head.

Nathaniel had never thought Kyrie was someone who could make that face. Emptiness, submission, and discouragement seemed to be the most distant words from her, and he thought the adverbs that best matched her would be, Nevertheless

But the woman in front of him looked so weak and lonely. If he touched her, she would crumble and soon become white ashes.

Nathaniel understood. He knew how people were looking at Kyrie.

She is strong, steadfast, considerate of others, and does not succumb to her sorrow, so even if it is a little difficult right now, she will rise again. She said that she would be able to overcome the troubles of her troubled family and the shock of a person’s neck being blown off in front of her. She would reach out her hand to the weak and save the broken one.  Kyrie was an idol of goodness that seemed to exist only in myths.

He knew that kind of Kyrie too well.  Even in the face of her death, she maintains that kind of persona.

And her nature, forcibly brought out by Vermont, appeared briefly right now in the empty place.  Nathaniel was the first to discover the hidden side of the moon, which he would never normally see.  In front of Nathaniel hiding in the shadows in a quiet room where the dust was still floating, Kyrie didn’t cry, smile, or move.

That was the whole bottom of Kyrie Buchanan.

The absolute loneliness of a person where the end, love, death and hope loses their meaning.
