CH 28

He saw a group of ten-year-old children silently watching the door of the classroom.

When he was at home, Shao Xian had already recalled his seat in the fourth grade. After entering the classroom, he didn’t pay any attention to the eyes of his classmates and walked to the last row of the classroom.

Shao Xian was taller than his peers and was quite favored when he was a child. 

He was egoistic and didn’t like being disturbed, so he occupied a desk by himself and sat in the back row by the window.

After Shao Xian sat down, he looked up and saw Chen Bai Zhou walking toward the last row on the other side of the room.

There were a lot of discussions going on in the classroom. 

Shao Xian didn’t care what the little kids were talking about, he took out the math book and planned to finish it before the class ended.   

If he wanted to skip a grade, he had to prepare early.

“Bang!” A loud noise exploded in Shao Xian’s ear.

Hearing the noise, he immediately looked in Chen Bai Zhou’s direction.

He saw Chen Bai Zhou sitting embarrassedly on the ground, and the chair that belonged to him had been kicked out.

The chair had hit the wall at the back of the classroom and fell to the ground.

It was obviously his vicious deskmate who deliberately kicked his chair out the moment Chen Bai Zhou sat down.

The boys sitting in the last rows burst into laughter, and some girls also covered their mouths and snickered.

Most of the children who sat in this classroom were rich and noble.

The rich people were always favored, so it was difficult for them to have empathy for people like Chen Bai Zhou.

Under Chen Yu’s bullying, everyone knew that Chen Bai Zhou was a bastard whose father was unknown.

Children generally couldn’t tell the difference between good and bad, and could easily follow others’ opinions.

Because some kids didn’t like to see Chen Bai Zhou, so they bully him with herd mentality.

They bully Chen Bai Zhou as if they could gain a sense of collective identity by bullying him together.

Chen Bai Zhou was already used to this kind of inferior means. 

He simply got up from the ground with a blank face and then went to the back of the classroom to pick up the chair as usual.

Chen Bai Zhou didn’t know if Shao Xian was looking at him, and he didn’t dare to look up, lest his embarrassment would disgust Shao Xian.

He didn’t want Shao Xian to think that the person he treated well was so unpopular, cowardly, and incompetent.

Chen Bai Zhou lowered his head and was about to return to the desk when a pair of clean shoes suddenly appeared in front of him.

The shoes were white and expensive.

That was not the point, the point was, he had looked at these shoes all the way to the school this morning.

In a flat voice, Shao Xian commanded, “Put down the chair.” 

Hearing this, Chen Bai Zhou stood there, not daring to move, clenching the back of the wooden chair with both hands and pursing his pale lips tightly.

He was afraid that Shao Xian would dislike him, and he couldn’t help but have a sense of deep self-loathing in his heart. 

He could ignore others bullying him, but he couldn’t ignore Shao Xian’s smallest actions.

“It’s okay, put down the chair first, aren’t you feeling tired?” 

Shao Xian tried to gently smile and reached out to slowly rubbed Chen Bai Zhou’s slightly longer hair.

Feeling his hand on his head, Chen Bai Zhou’s heart was hot. He obediently put down his chair.

As long as Shao Xian didn’t get angry with him, he could do anything!

After he put down the chair, Shao Xian walked up to Chen Bai Zhou’s desk. 

Although his expression was polite and looked normal, in the eyes of the whole class, his posture showed that he was ready to disrespect even his relatives.

Chen Bai Zhou’s deskmate was tall and stronger than his peers, but he was a little scared when he saw Shao Xian coming to his desk.

It stands to reason that Shao Xian was known as a class idol and was very good-looking, so no matter what expression was on his face, it would not look too scary.

But seeing Shao Xian’s expression today, Chen Bai Zhou’s deskmate was still frightened.

So, he quickly apologized, “I’m sorry, Shao Xian. Did I disturb you just now? Don’t be angry, I am sorry.”
