Hao Ren smiled a bit before going back to being dead pan. He said after some thought, "Would you mind if I ask for some time alone?"
Han Lingshi shook her head and replied, "As long as you promise me that you would not do anything stupid, I won't. We are both adults and have our own methods to deal with situations."
Hao Ren said, "Thank you, Lingshi."
Han Lingshi leaned in and pecked his lips lightly as she said, "Know that I will wait for your call."
Then she stood up from the bed and left the room. Hao Ren lay in the bed, with his eyes locked to the ceiling. He sighed and closed his eyes to sleep. He knew that it wouldn't do him any good to think over the situation or to confront his parents. If he pressured them too much, there is a chance that they might lie to him even more.
