C19 – An Apology? Impossible

“Jiang Hao, I want to apologize for what happened yesterday. I’m truly sorry!”

Having spoken, Zhou Hong unexpectedly bent down and offered a bow to Jiang Hao.

Jiang Hao was taken aback, swiftly rising to his feet.

“Professor, it was my mistake yesterday. I shouldn’t have acted that way!”

Jiang Hao expressed his remorse by bowing to Zhou Hong and offering his apology.

At this moment, the students of Grade 12 Class 8 were left astounded.

“Teacher Zhou actually apologized to Jiang Hao!”

“No way!”

“Why do I feel like I’m dreaming? “

......

Conversations started to ripple through the room.

Even Liu Xuan, seated in the front row, felt a shock, an unsettling intuition taking root.

At this juncture, Zhou Hong spoke once more.

“All of you have shown progress in this examination, yet some individuals couldn’t restrain themselves any longer!”

As Zhou Hong spoke, she cast a meaningful glance toward Liu Xuan, positioned at the front of the lecture table, a look of warning in her eyes.

“Alright, I will now begin distributing the test papers.”

“Xu Chang, 37 points!”

“Zhou Lingling, 40 points!”

“Huang Jia, 96 points, securing the third position!”

Everyone counldn’t believe that!

Just then, a jarring, loud shout disrupted the ongoing discussion.

“This is utterly impossible!”

“Jiang Hao is a total failure. How on earth could he score full marks?”

“Teacher, are you hallucinating?”

It was surprising that the skeptical voice belonged to Liu Xuan!

He refused to accept that Jiang Hao could achieve a perfect score!

Zhou Hong was immediately irritated by this voice of doubt.

“Liu Xuan, what exactly are you implying? Are you suggesting the teacher is blind? Or maybe the teacher accepted bribes?”

Zhou Hong raised her voice, posing her questions loudly.

Liu Xuan swiftly realized his blunder and quickly apologized!

“No, teacher, that’s not what I meant!”

Zhou Hong looked at Liu Xuan with a sense of disappointment.

“Alright, take your seat!”

“Just remember, envy won’t make you stronger!”

With that, Zhou Hong dismissed the matter.

At this point, all the students in Grade 12 Class 8 directed their gazes toward Liu Xuan, casting pitying looks at him.

“Liu Xuan’s luck has turned sour. He’s actually lost!”

“Who would’ve guessed!”

“Liu Xuan’s in quite a pickle this time. He had a bet going with Jiang Hao!”
