Chapter 381: Chapter 381: Slaying the Butcher, Dead Swamp

Boom-rumble...

In an instant, a fierce wind howled, lightning flashed, and the power of laws surged, as a terrifying aura of pressure spread throughout the area.

The Butcher's expression grew serious, and he stopped underestimating his opponent.

"Blood Massacre!" He roared in anger, launching the first strike. His longsword howled through the air, and instantly, the surroundings were transformed into a sea of corpses and blood. The wind screamed, like the wails of vengeful spirits.

Spoorate, witnessing this, felt his scalp go numb, an inexplicable surge of fear rising in his heart.

In contrast, John remained calm, unaffected in the slightest.

This Blood Massacre technique was similar to the Power of Domain. He possessed World-in- Hand, allowing him to control an entire realm. Such a petty trick couldn't affect him at all.

"Slash!" He shouted, and his giant sword descended, cutting through the air with no flourish, a powerful and direct strike.

Boom-rumble...

Thunder roared, and the surrounding space instantly shattered. The hellish scene conjured by the Blood Massacre was obliterated with a mighty crash.

Boom!

With a loud roar, the Butcher screamed in pain, spitting blood as he was sent flying back.

Though his strength was greater than the Mountain Ghost's, he was still severely wounded by a single strike.

"Power of Destruction!" He exclaimed in disbelief, his gaze shifting toward Spoorate, who was clutching John's fist. His face changed slightly, his expression one of shock. "The Rebel Against Heaven, there's actually one of them in this world! How is that possible?"

His face was filled with terror, even more so than when he had discovered John's true identity. He glanced deeply at Spoorate, then without hesitation, turned to flee.

"Hmph, you can't escape!" John sneered. His World-in-Hand had already reactivated, and it was more than enough to seal the entire space. Even if the Butcher had elemental escape techniques, he wouldn't be able to escape.

Whoosh!

John took a single step forward, and his figure appeared a thousand meters away, directly blocking the Butcher's escape.

"Die!" He shouted, lifting his longsword and striking down once more.

Boom!

The Butcher had no strength to resist, and was sent flying again.

"Hmm, not dead yet?" John was somewhat surprised. The Mountain Ghost's defense was formidable, and it couldn't withstand two strikes from the giant sword. But this Butcher, despite his strong power, had much weaker defenses than the Mountain Ghost, yet he still managed to block two attacks from the giant sword.

At this point, John's strength had already been greatly depleted. Even with Spoorate's assistance, after swinging the sword twice, the internal energy he had left was almost spent. "Human!" The Butcher struggled to rise from the ground, his body trembling as he gazed up at John's towering form. "You won't get away with being associated with The Rebel Against Heaven. Let me go, it will be better for both of us."

John furrowed his brows. The Butcher and the Mountain Ghost seemed to fear this "Rebel Against Heaven" greatly.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

However, he scoffed at the very idea.

"Die!" John had no patience left for this guy. He lifted the giant sword once more, putting everything he had into the strike, and brought it down with all his might.

"No..." The Butcher roared in defiance, but his body was shattered by the impact of the giant sword, his bones pulverized beyond recognition, his remains more gruesome than the scattered pieces of flesh on the ground.

A prompt flashed, and John's Plunder ability activated again, restoring 0.0001% of his attributes.

Soon after, John felt a wave of exhaustion. The giant sword slanted into the ground, unable to support the Heaven and Earth Transformation state any longer. It reverted back to its original form.

"Ugh, that was close." He sighed in relief, turning to Spoorate. "Spoorate, I owe this to you. Without you, I probably would've died at the hands of those two."

Spoorate, however, frowned and looked troubled. "Big Brother, could I really bring about your doom?"

She had dismissed such concerns when it was just one person speaking, but now that both the Mountain Ghost and the Butcher had said it, she couldn't shake the feeling of unease.

John smiled and ruffled her hair reassuringly. "Silly girl, what are you thinking? I've already slain The Heaven itself. I've seen far worse than this. Those two were just trying to scare us." Spoorate smiled brightly, nodding emphatically. "That's right! Big Brother is so powerful, and I would never hurt you."

Her worries disappeared completely, and she was back to her cheerful self.

John looked around at the ruined city, his heart heavy. He had originally planned to capture the The Heaven criminals and rebuild Golden Tiger City, but now, all of them had been ruthlessly slaughtered by the Butcher.

A pang of sorrow hit him. The The Heaven criminals imprisoned here were all Lord God-level experts. If they had been allowed to grow, their strength would have been formidable.

Now, with only a handful of his own men left, rebuilding a city was out of the question. The adventurers in the city were almost all slaughtered, and those few who managed to escape wouldn't be returning.

people dare to venture there. It's filled with dangers, including swamps, deadly miasma, and

even nine-star magical beasts."

"Nine-star magical beasts?" John frowned. His overall strength was only at 50% recovery,

and he was still far from being able to face a nine-star magical beast.

He looked at Debbie and asked, "Can we avoid it?" "We can," Debbie replied. "But it will delay our journey by several more days."

"Then let's go around it," John said. He wasn't in a hurry; he still needed to hunt more four-

star or higher magical beasts to restore his strength.

After a brief rest, they continued their journey.

They slaughtered magical beasts along the way and quickly made it out of the forest. The surroundings suddenly opened up, revealing a vast, desolate swamp, filled with the

overwhelming stench of decay.

This was Dead Swamp.

Spoorate looked at the expansive and silent swamp with curiosity and asked, "It doesn't seem

like there's any danger here. Big brother, should we just cut through?"

"Better not," John replied. Unlike the young girl, he wasn't so optimistic.

The swamp was eerily silent, and faint mists rose in the distance. John could clearly sense that

there was danger lurking here.

"Master, this way," Debbie said, visibly relieved by his words, and quickly led the way.

Boom!

Suddenly, a loud rumble echoed from a distance. The water in a nearby pool churned violently, turning the clear swamp water into a murky mess that emitted a foul stench.

A massive dark shadow shot out from the water-it was a gigantic black dragon, followed by

an enormous white crocodile. "Dammit, how dare you ambush me! I'll curse your ancestors!" came a furious roar as the

black dragon opened its mouth and unleashed a torrent of dragon flames.

John froze in place upon witnessing this scene.

"Avis!" he exclaimed, astonished. He never expected to encounter Avis here!

Avis was the first magical beast John had ever tamed. But as his own strength grew rapidly,

the gap between them became wider, and Avis no longer seemed significant.

To his surprise, Avis had also entered the Realm of Chaos, and not only had its strength remained unaffected, but it had even reached six-star power-equivalent to upper-tier god-

level strength.

Whoosh!

A huge white figure soared into the sky and clamped onto Avis's tail with its jaws. The next moment, it rolled viciously, sending Avis tumbling through the air.

"Damn!" John cursed as he staggered for a moment, only to be dragged back into the swamp

once again.

John's mind raced, and he summoned the Immortal Sword, launching it swiftly toward the

white crocodile.

Splat!

The swamp turned red with blood as the crocodile howled in pain.

Avis seized the opportunity to escape, letting out a sigh of relief as it fled deeper into the

swamp without looking back, completely unaware of John and the others.
