Chapter 36: First contact

The creature wasn't bigger than the others, but it sure had some presence. Even Terry could see something like a blue aura emanating from its body. Physical prowess wasn't the only thing that determined the leader of a group.

Now that he could see it from up close, Terry confirmed that the enemy had blue eyes. Was that because the creature had more magic potential than the others? If they control that weird metal with their mana, then that would make sense.

Several guild masters charged at the enemy and swung their weapons. Massive Warhammers, axes, and swords... they all tried to cut him down at the same time. Still, the enemy just swung his spear and repelled everyone's attacks... that thing definitely had the highest physical strength in the camp...

Vanessa used a lightning bolt, making it fall from above. Still, the enemy just jumped to the side and dodged the attack... that reaction speed was just insane... an earth spear was fired, but the enemy also repelled it to the side. In the next moment, Mary suddenly appeared behind the enemy and tried to stab his nape. The creature lowered his stance and then hit her legs with a sweep kick, and when she fell, the enemy grabbed her by the neck.

"You will be a suitable tool to create my kin," The monster said.

Although she wasn't supposed to do that since she was a mage, she charged, and she wasn't the only one. All the women of the group wanted to explode the enemy's head from up close, but they stopped when the enemy dropped Mary and then swung his spear to the side. He blocked an arrow and then and then twitched his neck to the side to dodge another, but then three more landed on his face.

Some blood began to fall from the enemy's cheek, and then he looked at Terry. Somehow, Terry predicted that his first attacks would be stopped or dodged, but the third worked. Still, all the power of the Triple Shot only opened a small wound on the creature's face...

That monster was a powerful and prideful moron. It looked like Terry, as if he had committed the crime of fighting and wounding him. Terry just looked back into the enemy's eyes without showing much emotion...

"You will pay for this," The monster said. UppTodated from nô/v/e/lb(i)n.c(o)/m

"Maybe I could do better with the wand... but I didn't have many chances to level it up since I was increasing the arsenal of the guild...." Terry thought.

The other guild masters were being thrown around while they even blocked the attacks perfectly. Their weapons were suffering too much damage... so Terry couldn't just keep watching.

When the enemy wasn't looking at Terry, he used Triple Shot, but then he stopped the axe of another guild master with its hands and then swung the spear to block the arrows. The skill pushed the enemy away for a few meters, but that wasn't nearly enough... it didn't seem like Terry would be able to do much with the now, even with all that attack power.

The guild master tried to pull away his ax, but the enemy didn't let it. In the end, the enemy kicked him in the stomach and then threw the ax toward Terry. He dodged the weapon for a thin margin and felt his heart racing when he felt the wind blasted away by the weapon...

The weapon destroyed a pillar and crushed several of the cocoons around when it fell... thanks to that, the enemy showed an annoyed expression. Terry wondered if his fatherly instincts were that strong or if he was just pissed that he missed Terry.

Either way, Terry saw Vanessa charging another big attack, and then the enemy looked at her. In the next moment, Terry used Triple Shot to keep the enemy busy, and when he swung his weapon to block the arrows, Vanessa used her magic...

The enemy still used its left arm to block the massive lightning bolt, and while he was pushed away for ten meters and his body was emitting some sparks... he still looked unhurt. To make things worse, everyone began to hear the sound of enemies climbing the stairs outside...
