179. Moving

A few days went by as the girls found and paid for their new home. Today is the day they would be moving in properly as they have already moved all their belongings there. Now Hinata and Nozomi stood in front of the Fushi household as a rather interesting scene was taking place. Fôll0w current novÊls on n/o/(v)/3l/b((in).(co/m)

“Whaaaa! My baby is leaving me!” Himiko shouted while hugging Tomoka with enough strength to shatter a boulder.

“Come on mom it’s not like I will be moving that far away. Not to mention you will always be welcome to visit.” Tomoka was trying and failing to console her mother as the latter cried enough tears to give Gai’s waterworks a run for their money.

“Right! I will visit every day! All day!” Hearing and seeing Himiko bounce back that fast the three girls couldn’t help but wonder if she is somehow related to Gai.

‘Now that I think of it, that could also explain her monstrous strength too’ Tomoka decided to distract herself with other thoughts since she didn’t want to face the reality that her mother in fact would visit her every day all day.

“Honey that is a bit too much. Though I will admit I would have liked to keep Tomoka for a while longer, she needs her own space.” Saying that earned Nagi a seething glare that promised a month sleeping on the couch.

“Yeah, though dad loves me more.” Tomoka commented absentmindedly.

“Really?” Hinata said with a bit of surprise. From what she saw Tomoka’s dad didn’t seem that affected by his daughter leaving.

“Yeah, he took a bullet for me and will probably be sleeping on the couch for the next six months if not more.” Answered Tomoka with a fond smile. Life in the Fushi household was hectic yet fun. Nagi and Tomoka would need to placate Himiko or the crazy woman would end up breaking a wall. It happened more times than Tomoka could care to count.

Tomoka grew up with a loving father who felt like a good friend she could count on. As for her mother, she felt more like a troublesome little sister than a mother most of the time. Though she did act motherly when it counted. Overall, a loving family, one she could count on.

“Wait, you mean your mother would actually have visited daily all day?” Nozomi asked incredulously. She knew that Tomoka’s mom was a bit overbearing but she never learned by how much.

“Yeah, chances are she wouldn’t even have left the house and instead made the guest room hers.” It could have happened, Tomoka was sure of that. Though if she were to put her foot down then her mother would have respected her wishes.
