Chapter 1719: The Vast, The Pure, and The Utmost (5)

The truth of lifespans reaching tens to hundreds of thousands of years and repetitive self-affiliated isolation for cultivation was that it caused one's sense of time to dwindle and induced often unspoken effects on a cultivator's mentality toward time usage and lengths of activities.

The greater one's cultivation, typically, the longer the cultivation sessions take. Despite Wei Wuyin being a mere mortal of slightly over a hundred years of age, his latest secluded cultivation took seventeen years, and it was prematurely ended due to the incoming, dreadfully torturous Calamities of Hell.

Meanwhile, traveling for mortals on flat continental earths, planets, or smaller, between villages, cities, and countries often took days to weeks, and their most common activities rarely took a single day to complete, let alone a few hours. As for cultivators who were high-level, their scope of activities extended to planets, starfields, stellar regions, and galactic zones, which could take years, decades, and sometimes centuries to properly traverse without extraordinary assistance.

Therefore, the Sage-level Dao Enforcer saw no issue with cautiously proceeding toward the Utmost Purity Galaxy while just outside of the galactic shell, as this was still the Void-Blank Space between galaxies and contained hidden dangers. For example, a Void Creature that resembled a four-tailed eel with silvery hairs that each seemed to breathe in chaos mana as if they were living beings was blasted by the Stellar Transit Light that Wei Wuyin created, causing its body to explode like a bag of blood and skin.

The Void Creature wasn't particularly strong, but it was insidiously difficult to locate in the Dark Void and often troubled the void vessels with abrupt attacks before vanishing from view. Without a cultivator with Soul Perception active, they wouldn't even sense a single disturbance as it attacked and vanished.

Moreover, it had racked up a considerable number of victims, both lives and void vessels. It gave cause for the Sage to be considerably cautious given their location.

Fortunately, Wei Wuyin had casually dealt with that creature, claiming its life in his frustration. It was prowling for an eventual attack, so Wei Wuyin didn't mind ending its life. He even gathered the bloody remains as Draconic Void Mystic Force conjured a swirling portal that sucked it in with extraordinary suction strength, appearing and disappearing in the blink of an Enlightened Sage's eye. Not a single iota of flesh or blood was left behind.

As for Wei Wuyin, his urgency was justified; the Calamities of Hell neared with each passing second, and he couldn't casually waste time with caution, especially while he had the two-year date conditions with Yue Songli that still needed to be fulfilled.

When Wei Wuyin spoke earlier, he had spoken directly and verbally, sending his voice through the void infused with Spiritual Strength, so anyone paying attention could sense the utterly domineering words that came from his lips. White Sky's eyes widened with abject disbelief.

The threat was heavy and direct, leaving no room for interpretation. Normally, she might find this laughable for someone to dare threaten a Dao Enforcer, but when Wei Wuyin said that he would exchange the Dao Enforcer's life for a few alchemical products, her mind sparked with realization; Wei Wuyin had an in-depth familiarity with the galactic rules of the Utmost Purity Galaxy!

She hadn't noticed earlier due to her rampant emotional state weighed by fear, but after calming down as they traveled, engulfed by rainbow light, her mind linked the connections together.

In the Utmost Purity Galaxy, due to various reasons, Alchemists could employ a special right of killing certain individuals first and pay a fine as a penalty. If they could pay that fine, then the situation would be easily resolved. It wasn't without its nuances, and it also restrained Alchemists from acting wantonly given the horrific punishment for being unable to pay the fine, and how it grouped life into categories and determined its value. It was a complex formula, but an Earthly Saint Alchemist would have to think thrice before killing a mortal of a 'protected' status.

Of course, not everyone was under these protections. The Dao Enforcers were all under that protected status, while the crew members were under a temporary protected status that lasts only while they were on duty. As for non-protected cultivators, they simply should not offend an Alchemist or stronger cultivator. Their fate was their own, or justice should be upheld by their governing organization or representative leaders of their region, essentially—relying on one's backing!

Pakhet's lips held a smirk that could allure hearts and stir minds. For some inexplicable reason, she felt a sense of great pride swell within her heart. Wei Wuyin's threat established dominance and set a tone for his entry into the Utmost Purity Galaxy. This was bound to reach the ears of many of high status within the galaxy.

In the third flow of rainbow light, the Sage-level Dao Enforcer had regained their ability to move, think, and act, yet fear crept within their soul that they could only accept their situation with helplessness. Who would have thought that the Alchemist there was a Supreme Sage?! How unlucky was he?

Supreme Sage!

Of course, they were unable to determine Wei Wuyin's exact cultivation base, and after being frozen by the Fixed Soul Spell, they felt the tyrannical Spiritual Strength that exceeded their imagination, unable to muster the slightest form of resistance, so they could only believe that Wei Wuyin was none other than a Supreme Sage!

The Utmost Purity Galaxy was divided into seven Galactic Zones, each given a name aligning with one of the seven aspects of Alchemy, but there were no true rulers of the zones. The respective towers were the highest authority of the Alchemic Dao, but that did not make them the most powerful or possess the largest territory.

It was best to say that the seven towers were representatives and sometimes upholders of galactic law of their respective zones, and while they wielded great power, they did not wield absolute authority over all. The authority was split apart by the various Institutes, Academies, Palaces, and Pavilions.

In fact, the progression of rank, growth of lineage, and expansion of land within the Utmost Purity Galaxy was extremely odd, and besides the seven towers, few higher-leveled organizations stuck to a single zone in terms of development. For example, the Soothing Jade Institute that had challenged the Sea & Sky Institute had territory within three zones—the Growth Zone, the Refinement Zone, and the Containment Zone.

It's because of this irregular dispersal of lineages across the galaxy that towers could not possess absolute authority, and similarly why the alchemical lineages of the Utmost Purity Galaxy had the greatest depth with constant improvements and incessant competition.

In regards to the Soothing Jade Institute, they founded their academy in the Growth Zone and won enriched and phenomenal lands for cultivating materials and cultivators in the other three zones through various Dao Clashes, especially Alchemic Clashes, constantly winning territory, lineages, and treasures, greatly improving until they inevitably became an Institute with a Worldly Saint Alchemist at the helm. This was a difficult journey that many organizations strove for.

Only when an organization became one of the seven towers would they have to strictly limit themselves to a single zone, and that was a non-negotiable requirement.

The Sea & Sky Institute started as an Institute within the Growth Zone and was built off the inherited legacies of Senior World-Saint White Sky and Junior World-Saint Azure Sea's respective lineage masters, and they bravely decided to establish themselves to strive for greater heights.

The three beautifully dazzling beams of Stellar Transit Light were approaching the Northwestern Region of the Growth Zone. Within this expansive region, there existed a Utmost Purity Hall that handled various matters as Dao Enforcers, arbiters, organizers for challenges, dao clashes, referee games of Mystic, and judges for promotions. The busiest organization throughout the Utmost Purity Galaxy!

They were the dutiful ones that issued the Alchemic Edict on behalf of the Soothing Jade Institute using the authority bestowed to them by the representatives of the seven zones, the Seven Utmost Towers!

They called their starfield the Vast Growth Starfield!

The three beams of rainbow light stirred countless forces as they arrived!
