Chapter 30 - Acting like a man again

As soon as dawn came, they started moving again. This time, Hongfe had told the coachman to drive faster. Their speed became more urgent. This made their progress cut a half day less. After travelling a day and a half, they finally reach Guang Town.

As soon as they arrived, Hongfe became anxious. The last time that he had seen his siblings was when his siblings were just babies and he was 10 years old. They were a noble family living on the south.

Due to an unlucky situation. His father discovered an anomaly in their city government. Ending up being assassinated by the opposition. He was able to escape because of his servants help and his parents sacrificed their life for his safety. Before his father died, he handed him a letter. It was a record of evidence, containing the anomaly by that City Lord. This was the reason he had been constantly chased down again and again.

One of the female assassin's saw two baby twins in the manor. She hated killing innocent children, thus she took them away and hid them somewhere. This was done on her own judgement, after hiding them she was killed for insubordination.

They decided to hid the babies and use them as a lure for Hongfe, in trade of that evidence. No matter how many times he tries to negotiate with them, his siblings was never found. He killed his way through and decided to hid himself as he gather enough power to overthrow his enemies.

That was the last lead that Hongfe had, until Ronglou came along. Now that he is on the same city as his siblings, he didn't know exactly how to control his emotions.

Seeing the worry on his face, Ronglou patted his shoulder. "It alright. They are fine. I might not know if it'll be easy to get them to safety now, but I know that they have been living okay. For what I could remember, your siblings are stronger than you think."

Hongfe took a deep breath and smiled to Ronglou. "Thanks."

"No problem. As soon as you confirm that they are your siblings, we'll part ways from here." Ronglou smiled back to him.

Listening to her words, Hongfe felt a slight pain in his chest. He unconsciously rubbed it. As his mind wanders, the coachman announced that they have arrived.

Ronglou opened the curtain and take a look outside. The place that she told the coachman to go, was the Ji Residence.

There was a large gate on front with a Large plate that says Ji Residence. It actually existed, Ronglou thought. Although she said that the siblings were living fine, that was far from the truth. She remembered how devasted Hongfe was, when he learned how terrible was the living conditions were for his siblings.

Ronglou waited and stared at the gates. Hoping to see any sort of movements from the inside. Hongfe didn't look outside as his mind were conflicted with his raging emotions. Not only for his siblings safety, but also for Ronglou's departure. He didn't understand why he was feeling uncomfortable with it. The couple of weeks that they had been together, felt like they had known each other for longer than that.

Before he could even draw a conclusion, Ronglou pulled his sleeves. "Hey! It's them! Definitely your twin siblings!"

Hearing her excitement, Hongfe moved his head beside hers. Since the window was small, their cheeks were literally touching each other.

He saw two servants that came out the gates of the Ji Residence. One was a male and the other was a female. Even though they had opposite sex, they looked too much a like. They were indeed Hua Xingxi and Hua Feixhu. They had the same look as Hongfe's mother and father. He could feel his blood boiling with anticipation. He remembered how he used to sneek a peek with the two babies or play with them with his mother and father.

Gu Hongfe was originally Hua Hongfe. He changed his name so he could hide his identity.

He absently clenched his fist and turned his body around. He wanted to sit back down. But as he turned, his lips brushed into Ronglou's left cheek.

Ronglou's eyes went wide. As well as Huangyu and Hongfe.
