Chapter 53 - Idiots

After eating, the two left the restaurant and decided to roam around the streets. They didn't buy anything and just tried to enjoy the nightlife. Walking helps digest the food that they just ate and so they did.

When it was time to go back to the inn, the two casually went to their room. It was as if they didn't know that there were dangers that lurk in the dark.

Roughly about 5 hours past, the breathing's inside the room was calm. It indicates that the people inside were already fast asleep. Xu Fengxin's men were ordered to keep the Future Crown Princess safe from intruders and so they waited till the Palace People attacks.

The Hidden Red Cloud Palace was still in the dark and didn't know that there was an ambush ahead. Xu Fengxin's men were top martial artists that were under the Crown Prince's Flag. They were all trained to protect and serve him. Due to the support of the Emperor, Xu Fengxin had his own hidden army. In Yu Ronglou's previous life, this army was the Nightmare of the neighboring kingdoms. They were the army that can annihilate 10,000 men in a single night. This gives them a well-deserved earnings that powered their Palace to grow steadily.

Funny thing is, This Palace is one of Xu Fengxin's enemies in Yu Ronglou's previous life. If truth be told, she knew where they stationed at. Also, she was the one who brought their downfall in her previous life. Fortunately for them, Yu Ronglou wasn't interested in them. As long as they don't mess with her nor her business, she would forget about it. It was the Monarch's problem, not hers to solve.

Three of the Palace men jump into the roof, while the rest stayed around the Inn's perimeter to guard. Although the mission was simple since the one their targeting doesn't know any sort of Martial arts, they still couldn't relax. This was the main task from the Young Palace Master himself, so they can't be too lax about it!

As they got closer to the room, everything changes. They were attacked on all sides. Xu Fengxin's men moved in swift attacks and in light steps. Their swords collided, daggers were thrown. Fortunately, it didn't seem to wake up the people inside the room.

The Palace Group outnumbered Xu Fengxin's men, only because of this that they manage to escape. Still, several of their people was wounded and 4 of their men died. While in Zu Ren's side, they weren't in good shape either. Luckily, no one died.

Zu Ren sighed in relief that the other Party left in haste. They didn't dare give chase since their mission was to stay close to Yu Ronglou. After the eventful night, dressed in the same outfits, The two entered their carriage and left towards the east.

This time, Zu Ren and the other one 5 men followed her closely. Zu Ren also left a message for his master to receive once he arrived in Peng City.

Their Master will be the one to bring the Eldest Miss Yu back to the Imperial City. This was his orders.

In Yu Ronglou's side, she couldn't help but smirk. "Idiots", she murmured. She was inside the carriage with Huangyu. Odd thing was, the carriage was heading North, instead of East.

Well, what just happened? The carriage that Zu Ren and his men were following wasn't the one Yu Ronglou was riding on.
