“You have a terrible sense of humor you vixen!!”
Han woke up tied to a bed and spread eagle. He didn’t even know how this woman brought the floating bed into the void. Did she dream it up just to humiliate him!?
“Fufufu~! You look so edible lying there naked. Should I help you rise up?”
Yes, please
“No!!! Get away from me you succubus! I need to talk to you seriously!! This is just a distraction isn’t it!?”
The vixen’s laugh echoed through the void again before Han finally found himself free of the bed. He rubbed his sore wrists and scowled at her. But she was still wearing the red gown, and when she shrugged, Han felt his eyes trail down. Dammit!
“Just answer my questions for once. Why am I still doing this? This is the third time, how many more times do I have to do this?”
She was silent for a while before she sighed and her clothes changed into the very first one Han saw her in. The jeans, top, and lab coat. Han was very disappointed
“I can’t tell you anything more than what I’m allowed to. Trust me, the less you know the better,”
Han cursed internally. So there were even bigger forces at play here? What exactly was he to them? A pawn?
“The only thing I can tell you is to keep your head low in this world. Get all the riches you want, but done dive too deep into REACH. The less they know about you the better”
Han was about to ask another question, but he immediately felt another pull in his navel and disappeared before he could say a word.
.....
Slam!!!!!
Han grunted as a fist slammed into his face and the cheer of a crowd echoed around him. He groaned and rose to his knees. Where in the hell was he? And did somebody just punch him!?
[The fight just got even crazier!! The contender Han Luo seems to be out of it but still in the match! What will the challenger do!?]
An announcer’s voice rang out across the field and Han stood up to his feet quickly. He was in some sort of cage made of metal bars, the room was dark and only a few fire torches lit up the arena. There was a huge crowd of people leaning on the gate and shouting in loud voices, they all looked dirty with a wild look in their eyes.
Han turned around to see the man he was fighting running towards him at full speed.
Slam!
Han quickly brought up his hand to stop the kick that was aimed at his head. He only felt a slight sting from it but that was still a surprise to him. He kicked the man back and stepped away.
Han just dodged her while trying to get her to say something. She was not in the mood to listen to him so Han grabbed her by the arm and pinned her to the ground.
“Listen to me for fucks sake!!!”
Rin Woo spat in his face and Han recoiled in disgust!
“Fuck you!!”
She wrapped her leg around his head and he pulled her up as he stood. She began hitting the top of his head to knock him out but Han just ran towards the wall of the cage and slammed her back into it.
She coughed up blood and fell to the ground in pain and Han stumbled back while cleaning his face. The crowd went wild.
Yearrrrrrr!!!!
[I think she’s out!! I think she’s out!! For the first time in half a decade the Arcane is out for the count!!]
A man ran in from the side and came to check up on Rin Woo. After a while, he gave a nod to the announcer ad they loudly declared Han the winner. Han could only stand there in absolute confusion as he watched someone take Rin Woo out of the cage before someone else – a woman he didn’t know – came and took him out as well.
.....
In the dark area above the stage, the woman leaned back and hummed. It seemed he was stronger than he looked. He didn’t even seem to struggle against Arcane he didn’t even look out of breath. Who was this man?
“Will you be putting him in the rankings, ma’am?”
She turned back to glare at the man behind her and he quelled under her gaze. This disgusting man shouldn’t be talking to her so much. She knew exactly what he wanted and so she just threw a small bag filled with a white substance behind her for the man to scramble to catch.
He breathly thanked her before slowly retreating into the darkness to go enjoy the substance.
Once he was gone the woman turned back to the cage. Was she going to put him in the ranking? Nobody had been in the rankings within only a few days of getting here, the fastest was their current number one and he took a whole year to enter the ranking. But there was nothing she could say against this Han. He was strong and perfect for the savages down there to bet their money on.
She leaned down and spoke to one of the two women.
“Tell the announcer I have something to say”
The woman nodded before leaving. A minute later she returned with a microphone and everyone quieted as the woman stood up.
“Today we will be making history that hasn’t been made since our top fighter walked into this ring five years ago. Your contender Han Luo will be making it onto the rankings!!”
Yearrrrhhhhh!!!!!
A screen on the other side of the room showed ten names before the name at number five was removed and a new name slid into place. Han Luo.
“To celebrate this moment everyone will be receiving five grams of Wisteria!! Party till you drop dead!!”
The crowd of savages below grew even more frantic and the dealer smiled as she watched them all succumbing to madness. This was the era of the underground, and down here, she was queen
