The room they took Han to was a small one with only one bed pushed to the end of the wall. There was a chair and table on the other end of the room with a paper, pen, and a black book on it.
Han was given a bundle of clothes and then told to change and meet the rest of them outside. The bundle was a priest robe with a large chain cross on it. Han changed into it and couldn’t deny that it was more comfortable than his former clothes. And although he wasn’t the most religious person in the world, he wondered why the cult was using the cross as their symbol, weren’t they worshiping some other god? It was strange that they would still have the symbol of Christianity.
Oh well, Han just had to play along with them for now. They were a bunch of eccentric people who all believed he was one of the greatest saints sent to bring them salvation. So he would just have to use this privilege to his advantage.
Han walked out of the room to see the woman that injected him still standing there. She had a reverent look in her eyes and looked up at him like a god.
“My, lord. Praise be the Lord’s name for only he is our savior...”
Erhh.... yeah....Did she expect him to give a response now? It was obvious that she was waiting for something from him. Oh, wait, what was it that all those people were answering while they were gagged and even when they were in the crowds, Praise the lord, right?
“Praise the lord,,,.?”
The woman’s face brightened up and she fell to her knees before Han immediately. She began to cry and shout and yell.
“Praise the lord! Praise the lord! Praise the lord!”
Damn, these people are all insane!! Was that really all he needed to do to avoid suspicion? Just chant a single phrase over and over again? It was like a game on simple mode!
After a long time of the woman simply trying her best to bang her head on the ground, Han finally had enough of her stupidity and told her to get off the floor.
The room was silent and everyone turned towards Han expectantly with wide, reverent eyes.
“Uh... Praise the lord”
“Praise the lord!!!”
Oh God. Han could already tell that this was going to be a pain in the ass! How was he one of the chosen!? Was it just because he managed to break a rock better than other people broke a rock!? It’s just a rock!
The bald man shook in happiness before shooing his hands forward and his head upwards. He had an expression of pure bliss on his face as he received the word of the lord from his creator. He was one of the select few who was fortunate enough to receive such a blessing! He was going to pray for an hour longer today to thank the Lord for his grace!
Nine hours of prayer was not too small for the lord!!
“My brethren, you are truly fortunate! May we remain steadfast as we listen to the words of our lord’s chosen!”
Han eyed the crowd wearily! Did they just say he was going to give a talk!? That was definitely not going to happen! He had no tolerance for spouting nonsense praise for some false god!
But Han was not the person the balding man was talking about. The curtain on the other side of the room opened and a woman wearing the ling black robes of the priests entered. She had a large hood drawn over her head and came to stand in the center of the stage.
The man immediately bowed to her while moving backward. He did not deserve to be on the same stage as a chosen of the lord! The fact that he was there for this short time would be the highlight of his life! They would surely write this on his gravestone!
The woman put her hands on her hood and threw it down and Han’s eyes flew open in shock as he saw who it was!
Rin Woo began the sermon of the lord.
“Praise the lord for he is kind! Praise the lord for he is merciful! Praise the lord for his will be done!”
“Praise the lord!!”
