Well, that was a quick change of pace. Han stepped back quickly as Martha tried to tackle him before he kicked her right into the wall of the room. She dropped to the ground and slumped. Han looked towards the cardinal and saw him holding his throat in pain.

“You will not get the truth out of me now. If it is according to the word of the lord then it is only by killing me that you can go back! But I will not fall for you twice, Han. My blood shall continue to haunt you even in time immemorial!”

Han could hear a great rumbling echoing across the entire church. The sound was getting closer and closer and Han began to also hear shouts and screams of people. So there was a crowd converging on him?

Well, it didn’t matter right now. Han grabbed Regulus again and held him up by his neck. The man began to choke and his legs began to swing but he refused to do anything to retaliate.

“You would die just so you can complete your nonsense gospel? Is this how far your mind has fallen?”

“It... Is the will of the lord.” He choked out, “My life is forfeit now, but I will live again on that day....urk!”

Crack!

Han was tired of listening to trash from this priest’s mouth. At least let his death serve as a source of XP.

[You have killed one [Advanced Unchanged]. You have gained +10 Intelligence. You have gained +5 Free points]

Ten intelligence just from killing one man? Just how much brainpower did this man have for him to get so much intelligence points?

Han immediately took ten points from his free points and put them into stamina. If he was going to be fighting an entire church then he needed more than what he had.

[You have used ten free points. You have added ten points to stamina]

Boom!!!

The first person the broke through the door was blindsided by Hans punch and the man flew back through the door and over to the opposite wall. Han turned around quickly and ran towards the window on the other side of the room! It was at least a two-story drop from here, but for Han, it was like skipping over a rock in the street.

He vaulted over it and plummeted to the ground.

This was just how things went for the next ten hours and Han was ecstatic as he went about killing people like he was in some sort of [Unchanged] supermarket. Kill one, get ten free!! Han chuckled at his own joke.

He would wait till later so he could get some time alone to use the free skill points he got. He immediately activated [Hypnotic Aura] and was surprised when he saw the zombies begin to ignore him completely. Interesting, so this skill made it so that he was not perceived as a threat by them. They just passed him by like he was an inanimate object.

But what about the other people in the church? Han could see that they were still running for him like madmen. Was the skill not working on them? Or was it that Regulus’ ability to control minds was still active even after his death?

In a way, Han wanted to have that skill too. He wasn’t going to use it for anything unsavory – ahem! – but it would definitely be easier if he could simply control people into doing his bidding.

Slam!!

Han punched down against the [Unchanged] he had been holding onto for a while now. The woman’s head burst in a spray of blood and Han stood up from the ground. Somehow, he managed to make his way into a large field where there would be no distractions from any buildings. The people that all wanted to fight were still coming at him, even though it was now obvious that he could kill them all like it was nothing.

They didn’t even have the bare minimum of their senses left. These poor, poor exp – People!! These poor, poor people!!

Han didn’t see them as just experience points! Really!

There was a sudden tingle at the back of Han’s mind as his [Danger Sense] activated to warn him of incoming danger and he quickly jumped to the right before the ground where he stood was pulverized by a punch!

Booommmmm!!!!!!

Han rose a brow as he saw how the ground cracked and the entire area shook. This was not just another regular [Unchanged]. Han hadn’t seen anybody that could do something like that in this place. Not since...

“You monster!!! Heretic!! Fiend of hell!! Spawn of the devil!!”

Wow, this old lady could hit like a freight train!!!

The old woman that led the chosen in the church stood up and leveled a glare at Han. Han couldn’t deny that watching an old woman glare at him was a little unnerving. She was looking at him like a little kid that stomped through her garden!

“I wouldn’t advise you to attack me, really... and besides, is that any way for a child of the ‘lord’ to look? You ought to make yourself more presentable for his ‘blessings’..? Right?”

“You look like you walked out of the valley of hell, demon spawn”

Han looked at himself and then shrugged. Alright, she got him there. He couldn’t deny that he looked far worse. Between the both of them, he was the one that looked more like an evil priest, anyways. But what did she expect when he had been busy grindi – Fighting! He meant fighting his way through all these people.

Of course he would be covered in blood.

“In my defense, I told them that they could give up,”

Another voice shouted from behind Han

“Heretic!!!!!!”
