Freya was completely shocked and she took a step back immediately! What!? Why is he talking about this all of a sudden!? She cannot sign that with him!

“Are you mad? Did you not read the agreement between all the kings!? None of us are allowed to force any other king into the contract of submission! Even if you want me to sign it, I have every right to refuse!”

Bam!

That was the sound of Han grabbing Freya by the neck and slamming her against the wall! She had a look of fury on her face as she stared right into Han’s red eyes. She would not cower like some weak woman! If you want to kill me then kill me! I won’t sign that contract!

“Do you think I’m giving you a choice, bitch. You either sign that contract or...”

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Han turned towards the door when they heard someone knocking. Han sighed as he glared at Freya for a moment before releasing her. It would be too much work to make her break now. I’ll have to wait a bit longer.

“Get out and don’t come back. I don’t want to ever see you near this wing again. It belongs to me and my wives, not visitors”

Freya coughed once Han let go of her and she quickly began to leave the room. Once she opened it she saw Yana on the other side.

Yana was shocked to see Freya leaving the room. She took a step back because she knew just how dangerous this woman was. At that moment, Freya gave Yana a smile that was like a challenge. Freya knew that she and Han didn’t do anything in the room, but that doesn’t mean she can’t make Yana think they did something. Yana saw the smile and she felt her confidence take a nosedive.

She was wearing something nice under her robes for Han and now this woman had already done something? She wanted to walk away from the room, but Han appeared and grabbed her hand. What nonsense is going on out here?

“Where are you going?”

The next day, Han was in a meeting with Quinthreath, Gregory, and a few of his generals. Quinthreath told Han that there was a high chance that the current number nine in the Temple was in danger. He received a message just yesterday asking for aid in a battle.

Han asked Quinthreath why he should bother sending any help. He didn’t even know who this person was! But Quinthreath said that the number nine ranker would be willing to join them if Quinthreath was the one who went to help. Quinthreath and the number nine were actually close friends and if Quinthreath tells her all about what Han wants to do then it will be easy to make her join.

Han didn’t see anything wrong with the idea. He needed to get as many people to join as quickly as possible and if he could get another member through Quinthreath then it would be a good thing. But the one issue is that Han had to go to Freya’s kingdom soon.

He already said he would go in front of all his subjects and he needed to keep up the illusion of peace until it was time for war. He didn’t need anyone to start spreading rumors that the Kings were getting ready to fight. The Celestials can’t know about any of this yet.

“Okay, you’ll go to help her instead of me. I think you have been a king for long enough to handle the negotiations and since this is your friend you can just convince them in my stead. I’ll send a hundred Shadow Hunters with you as protection and you can take three of your generals along. Don’t fail me”

Quinthreath nodded to Han and then he and his generals left the room. Once they were gone Han sighed as he leaned back on his throne. He hated meetings like this. They were so tiring.

“You are doing well. I don’t think my birth father could have done as good of a job if he was thrown into a situation like this, so don’t think you are doing a bad job”

Gregory said this from his place on Han’s right hand and Han smiled at him. It was nice that he could just talk to Gregory like he normally would. If he didn’t have at least one sensible person here then he would have just burnt everything to the ground in annoyance a long time ago.

But then Han’s expression changed to a cheeky one and Gregory eyed Han suspiciously.

“What is it? I don’t trust that look on your face”

Han waved his hand to one side with a smile.

“Oh, it’s nothing. I just wanted to ask you... How was she?”

Gregory coughed uncomfortably and a huge blush grew on his face once Han said this. Han’s smile grew as he caught his son red-handed! Look at you, Casanova!

“I don’t think I want to talk about it! We were just drunk and we didn’t do anything serious! Why did you even bring it up!?”

The person Gregory was talking about was Esse. The right hand of King Freya. It turned out that after they spoke a little last night she eventually managed to get him to drink far more than he could. This ended up with the both of them drunk and they woke up on top of the table, naked. It was the most embarrassing moment of Gregory’s life! Esse was even more embarrassed by it but it didn’t look like she regretted it at all! Women were strange to Gregory and this situation just made them even more strange! Han, please stop laughing.
