The first thing Han opened his eyes to was a bright, white room. He was standing in the middle of a room but everything around him was white. The room stretched for miles in every direction and Han didn’t even know where the walls ended. Han wondered if this was some sort of test like the one he faced on floor fifty where he had to choose a new job. But this doesn’t seem like it’s a test. Han would have seen an interface for making a new choice if this was a test and nothing had happened since he came here.
But it was not another test. It didn’t even take ten seconds before the white space suddenly distorted and everything around it disappeared and reformed into new scenery. Han heard the sound of seagulls in the distance and the raging, clear-blue, water in front of him painted a beautiful picture. Han was now standing on a Sandy beach. He blinked down at the ground as he saw that he was barefoot! He wiggled his toes and he saw that the sand was real. He could feel it and it felt just like real sand. What happened!? Even his clothes changed! Han was now wearing loose black trousers and a baggy white shirt that would be perfect for going to the beach! He felt like he had been here before.
“Why does this place look so familiar?”
“It’s because you remember it,”
Han turned around sharply once a voice spoke from behind him. He didn’t sense anyone around and so was shocked when he saw a man sitting on a reclining chair under an umbrella. The man had his legs crossed and there was a coconut in his hand that he was drinking with a grin! How did this man even get there? I know he wasn’t here before! I scanned this entire place once I arrived here and there was no one here
The man waved Han over as if he was some sort of drug dealer calling his customer to come and buy drugs and Ha took a step back instead. He didn’t need to get any closer to know that this man was dangerous. Han didn’t even know how the man got there, but Han could feel a lot of power coming from the man! It was like looking at the sun! Is this the test? Do I have to somehow fight this person? I might win, but it won’t be an easy fight at all. He will definitely take an arm from me before I can kill him.
He doesn’t even know who this man was, but Han can tell that this is not the sort of person he can be careless around. Han immediately activated [Assimilation]! Han needed to know how strong this man was!
“You’ve been watching me. I thought only celestials could do that?”
The man looked scandalized as he looked at Han! Like it was an insult to call him a mere celestial!
“How dare you! I will never be one of those idiots. Staying up in their big bad Celestial plane and trying to look down on everyone else! They have no idea how fun it is to be among you mortals! They have no taste for adventure and excitement! But I do! I’ve seen all of it, Han Luo! Everything! From the very beginning, I was there. From your fights on earth when you went up against REACH, to your fights against the chosen that came to recruit you. I’ve even seen how you managed to take all the kings and put them under you! You can say I’m your biggest fan, but that would be a lie. There is someone else that takes that title,”
Han took a drink of the coconut and he frowned suspiciously. It was amazing! How the hell does this bastard know what a coconut tastes like? He formed this coconut with his skill so he has to first know what it tastes like to form it. Don’t tell me that he really went to earth before? Han wondered what sort of being this man was. The man has been speaking for so long but he still hasn’t said a single thing about his power or even who he was. Throughout this talk, they’ve only spoken about Han! Han wanted to know more.
“Who are you?”
“Mmh! I am the watcher,”
The man took a sip of his coconut before answering Han and Han blinked as he repeated the name back. The watcher? The man nodded like he was educating a young child.
“Yes, the watcher. The seer. The one above all. Call me whatever you want. But I am the watcher. If you want to know where I am from then that is a different story altogether. I come from the center of the cosmos. All of the people up are like me, we are beings that are too great to be held back by the physical laws of nature and we possess power that can rewrite, destroy and create reality at our whim. We find our entertainment in mundane things, but it is not our place to exist outside of a safe space that can contain our power. We could destroy a universe accidentally if we’re not careful. In fact, I just killed a galaxy this morning, but that wasn’t an accident. It was because one of the planets inside of it stopped a tv show that I really liked. Stupid people, the lot of them,”
Han swallowed nervously. Did this fucker just say that he could rewrite, destroy and create realities? And what the fuck does he mean he destroyed a galaxy because of a tv show!? He killed an entire cluster of solar systems because one planet in one of those solar systems canceled a tv show!? What the fuck!?
But with the sort of power Han was feeling from the man, he didn’t think something like that was possible. Yes, Han could destroy a galaxy if he wanted, but it wouldn’t be so easy to destroy an entire universe of galaxies. The watcher wasn’t as strong as Han, so how can he do something like that? Isn’t this his full power?
