The door opened, and an old man, in his sixties came out. He was in uniform and looked powerful. Dong Xuebing looked at his rank and was surprised. Colonel General?! A group of military officers followed behind, and armed soldiers surrounded them.

Xie Guojian went out to welcome him. “Commander Yan.”

The old man nodded. “Director Xie.”

Xie Guojian was surprised. “Why did you come personally?”

Commander Xie replied. “The higher-ups had ordered to protect Zhong Lizhen at all costs. Also….” He paused and smiled. “I want to meet your family, Xiao Dong. I could not return for Huilan’s wedding and hear much about him. I am curious about what Secretary Xie’s son-in-law looks like. That’s why I came.”

Xie Guojian laughed. “He is inside now.”

They entered the villa.

Xie Guojian was introduced. “This is Commander Yan.”
