82 Welcome To The Capital, Rong Yue.
“Grandfather was determined to have me pick you up.” Wang Lei said with a wry smile as he looked at the dissatisfied Rong Yue.
Although, she was clearly frowning, with her features, instead of making people want to steer clear of her anger. Wang Lei had the deep urge to take of her troubles.
“My mother is going to be worried the entire time I’m there. Also, I have a competition I have to attend to in less than a week.” Rong Yue whined and she thought of the million of things that she had planned to do.
It was even more annoying as she knew that this was something she had do for him as her master.
Their ride to the airport was stress free and Rong Yue got down with her bag of supplies that she had packed and a small traveling bag for her essentials.
Wang Lei had already booked the tickets and the both of them checked in and waited till it was time for them to take off.
In reality, this wasn’t something that Rong Yue was really needed for. However, his father had bragged too much about his student that the committee and all his friends had ganged up against him by organizing this.
“So is this some competition with award or what?” Rong Yue asked. Now that she was resigned to her fate and had calmed down, she wanted to know more about what she was going to face in the capital.
The capital....
.....
Back then, she had longed to be there with all her heart. And there she had been, her career and designs blowing up everywhere and if she had by any chance revealed that she had been the one who was also designing it, she could have directly marched forward to being a national level goddess.
However, for Tong Yang, she had kept the secret that her paintings and designs all belonged to her.
But the capital wasn’t just where she grew. It was also the place where her dreams were buried. And it was only now when she looked back that she realized how much everyone around her had taken from her.
“It’s a celebration party of one of the highest level officers in the country, however, his best form of entertainment is painting and so instead of gifting him a painting, the association of painters has instead offered to let the younger generation do a painting competition at his party to liven things up.” Wang Lei explained and Rong Yue sat up straight as anger clouded her expressions.
“Are you telling me that all this is just some silly competition to entertain some old man’s birthday????” She asked as she felt like she had heard the most absurd thing in the world.
Wang Lei chuckled, unable to resist how she looked being angry with her mouth in a tight pout.
“You shouldn’t let the men in the capital see you angry.” He said without thinking only realizing what he said after. However, he didn’t take it back because he understood that it was the most important thing and that the men around there were always looking for vulnerable girls to destroy.
Although her being Master Wang’s disciple was a good backing, it was not enough to keep a lot of the young masters away at the end of the day.
“There would be awards to whoever wins the competition and the person would also get a status elevation, after all, all the dignitaries from the capital would be there on that day.” Wang Lei explained and then after some more listings of what she stands to gain, Rong Yue finally felt some of her anger melting away.
“If this is how he’s going to spring surprises on me, I would have to demand being paid as his student.” Rong Yue said playfully before finally plugging in her ear phones and listening to some music.
She had several plans that she needed to do in A city and at first, she had been worried about leaving her mother behind, but after meeting Song Jian’s family, she felt like it was easy to solve that matter.
If she could find a way to have both families live together, it would be a lot easier for her mother and for them to do businesses.
As for the workings, she was starting to search online to see if she could see some of these highly skilled people that would act as bouncers for them.
The more dreams she had, the more she realized how much she needed to do to actualize them.
Her entire trip was spent analyzing her thoughts in her head until she had a clear map out for how the traditional medicine store and factory would look like did she finally give up the thought.
????????
While they were on plane, trouble was brewing in a certain office in the capital.
“What do you mean by packed bags and left without a word? Have you asked her mother?” Qin Yichen demanded unreasonably and Lu San was starting to curse his luck for having to watch this little miss.
She was almost as good on her feet as their third master. When he had been relieved from running after the third master and watching his every step, he had thought that his evil days were past behind him, but now, he wasn’t sure anymore.
“She left with the young master of the Wang Family, the grandson of Wang Shu.” He added hurriedly, hoping that it would be enough for them to find her.
“Her master? Send some men to wait for her at the capital airport. She will most likely land there.” He commanded, however, Qin Yichen also didn’t waste any moment as he cleared his table with the intention of meeting her at the airport.
“Tell the board to send any report to me using email if it’s urgent, if it’s not, I’ll attend to it tomorrow.” He told Lu Bo who wondered where his master was going to this early in the day.
“Master, is there any urgent matter?” He asked cautiously, after reading his mood and confirming that Qin Yichen didn’t seem to be in an exactly foul mood.
“Hmmm, I’m going to pick your lady boss.” He said with a calculating smile that had shivers running through Lu Bo’s body.
Lady boss?
Since when did they get a lady boss? As he stood there, shocked frozen, Lu Bo’s mind raced through all the girls that had ever been around Qin Yichen in the capital or had their families planning anything as he tried to see if there was anyone that had progressed with his master recently.
As for Qin Yichen, It was only when he got to the entrance of the capital airport that he realized that he couldn’t just show up and welcome her.
From when he had arrived to save her from the bastard Mo Yifan, he had already sensed then that she was starting to suspect him. If he showed up now, he was only going to confirm that theory.
Typically, he might not have minded, but he understood that his Yue’er loved her freedom and not being restrained the most and if he ever gave her such an impression, he would only send her far away from him again.
The more he thought, the more he realized that this was just a wasted trip.
However, instead of leaving, he sat there in the airport and worked while waiting for the next plane that was coming in from A city.
In less than an hour, the plane arrived and he drove to their exit point. Since his car was tinted, he knew that she couldn’t see him, however, he just wanted to be sure that this was where she had come to before leaving.
??????
“I’ll have to hold your hand as it can get really crowded here in the capital.” Wang Lei told Rong Yue as the plane landed and people started to get off.
“Hmmmm.”
Since her luggage was just two bags, Wang Lei took the two from her and carried them on one hand while his other hand was holding her palm firmly in his as they left the picking point to the exit.
Like he had expected, one of their family drivers was already there and waiting and he waved his hands quickly as soon as he saw his young master.
His eyes also opened widely a little at the little beauty that his master was holding.
With a peach coat over a black dress and her hair packed into an high bun, Rong Yue’s appearance was completely alluring and shocking at the same time.
It was like, she was standing there like the moon until you Finally looked up and gazed at her beauty.
The moment you looked at her, it was completely hard to look away. Moreover, it was hard for Wang Lei to hide his interest in the way he let go of her palm and placed his hands on her shoulder blades instead as he guided her to where the car was parked.
In another car, just behind their family car, Qin Yichen’s fists clenched tightly on the steering wheel as he used every bit of self control that he had to not go there and snatch her away from Wang Lei’s loose embrace.
The driver finally got to them and took the luggages from Wang Lei while rushing ahead to take it to the car.
“Welcome to the capital, Rong Yue.” Wang Lei said, his eyes fixed on Rong Yue as she looked around taking in what the capital had looked like ten years ago.
She had to admit that truly, when technology had struck, it had struck hard and quick, after all, what this place looked like ten years later in her memory seemed like some far far distance future.
“Thank you.” She mumbled while in her heart, those lines were completely different.
I’m here, and this time, I’ll make my mark in my own way!
