100 I’ll Support You!

Not only had Qin Yichen been anticipating her arrival, he had also done some grocery cooking. So as soon as he sent Lu San off and made the both of them have their privacy, he entered the kitchen.

Since Rong Yue was only just getting herself, she didn’t follow him and also didn’t hear when he called her mother.

“Hello, Auntie, I picked her up already,” he said politely, his tone lacking any of the domineering president that ruled the capital with his iron fist.

“Ah Chen, I don’t know how I can thank you enough, although a lot of times Xiao Yue is smarter than the kids her age, on some other matters, she is also very childish and stubborn. So this time, I’m really in your debt,” Rong Xia told him sincerely and a small smile showed on the corner of Qin Yichen’s lips.

“There’s no need to thank me mom, this is what I should do,”

The both of them talked for a while more where Rong Xia told him about the warehouse, Qin Yichen was also patient enough to share some ideas and suggestions that made her really happy.

If anyone was looking, they would simply think that it was a conversation between mother and son.

As for Rong Yue, after she got control of her emotions perfectly, she walked around Qin Yichen’s living room as she tried to find the place with the best feng shui that was good enough.

With the place already been in remote area and a land with good soil and greens, the feng shui was already a lot better than the average place or city.

.....

She finally settled on a spot that was at the end, opposite the door way and sat down in a lotus position on the bare floor.

Since she was training her body using the guide from the system, this was one of the way that Rong Yue usually used to control her breathing and regulate her internal Qi.

Although, she could sense that it was nothing close to the explosive results that the practitioners of the ancient China used to get, it was already enough for toughening her body and mind

Today, she used it to calm herself while she allowed her mind to look at all the information that she had gotten today. After all, even though she was hurting and angry, she still needed to find a way to make sure that Xu Ning was not threatened by anything.

When Qin Yichen finished the feast he had been cooking to cheer her up, he met her in this position and his eyes flashed with interest. Not wanting to disturb her, he walked slowly and sat down on a couch, his gaze not moving away from her for even a second.

After a while, Rong Yue’s fists clenched together as she finally figured out how Xu Ning was successfully coerced. And from here, it was not hard to see that she would survive for at most only two days more.

On the surface, it looked like every member of her uncle’s family was safe and they weren’t even going out like that safe for when the uncle went out with one of them. And so even Rong Yue had at first imagined that all the children were fine, especially since Little Loli had also sent the videos of the children being at home with no one.

However, while meditating, she had finally connected the last missing dot!

The uncle was also working for the Hong Foundation in secret. So him leaving the house with one kid every time was a type of warning for them to not try to escape.

The more she thought, the more she got more evidences to prove her thought as she searched through everything from Little Loli carefully.

After thirty minutes, she finally opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was Qin Yichen standing over her while he bent down until he was at her eye level.

Rong Yue immediately fluttered at the closeness while her face turned a fine shade of light pink from the blush.

“How can you stay that close to me?” She asked shooting him a glare as she grabbed his stretched hand to stand up.

“I’m already your man, of course, such a little bit of closeness is nothing. You should be grateful that I’m waiting till you are older before we do anything else,” he said shamelessly, walking away without waiting to see her glare.

Yet, after what had happened earlier, Rong Yue felt that she could not continue being irresponsible, at the same time, she wasn’t certain that it was what she wanted yet.

There was so much for her to, so much she had to hide and Qin Yichen was up there, up there. More importantly, she wasn’t dumb to think that he didn’t have his own battles, after all, she could never forget the man that was hanging on the last thread of his life to survive after being ruthlessly attacked.

So when she thought of all of them, they made her hesitate, with the pain of the last life, all she wanted to do was push him away.

But it was easy to see that Qin Yichen was the type of person to know what he wanted and go for it immediately and because of that, it made a part of her want to try, to give him a chance.

The moment Qin Yichen came out with the first tray, every conflicting thought cleared from Rong Yue’s mind as she rushed to the table at the speed of light.

At that moment, food had become the most important thing while every other thing had been sent to the back of her mind.

She stared in surprise at the table full of dishes, “do you always have this much food at home?”

“Mother called that you were coming so I stopped to get groceries on my way back from work and drove back to wait for you,” he explained and then started to load her plate with food.

“You are not going to ask me what happened?” Rong Yue asked me after a while, shooting him a gaze that were searching and Qin Yichen chuckled.

“I was going to give you till after dinner, if by then you don’t say a word, I’ll of course find out matters by myself, after all, I already know the trigger. Finding the remaining is only a matter of understanding you and the situation,” he told her his plans without hiding anything and Rong Yue chuckled.

“I knew you were not one to not take any action,”

“So what happened?”

Rong Yue sighed softly, using it to loosen the conflict she had in her mind before speaking. “The woman in the news, golden manager and finance genuis, Xu Ning is someone that I care about. Although she doesn’t know me, she had helped me indirectly at one of the darkest part of my life.” She paused as she grabbed a glass of warm water.

After taking a small sip, she continued, “And I know she’s not the type to do the crime that she’s been accused for. This is the reason why I want to help her, I want to save her from those people!”

Her voice became stern and solid towards the last statement that Qin Yichen sat up a bit more and then held her hands from across the table.

“It’s not impossible, however, on the surface, the Hong Foundation might seem like a medium size organization but behind the scenes, they have their hands in many scandals and many evils that one can’t imagine, it won’t be easy to save someone that they have set their eyes on.” Qin Yichen explained and Rong Yue nodded to show that she agreed.

“But I still have to try, after all, she once helped me.”

Qin Yichen was someone that didn’t pay mind to rumors or small schemes. Even though his sources had every minute details jogged down about almost everyone, he would only ask about the ones that concerned him.

“Anything you want to do, I’ll support you.” He said simply, and Rong Yue felt her eyes sting with tears slightly again.

She then went ahead to tell him all that she had learnt including Xu Ning’s location.

“I’ll have Lu Bo put her new contact on a phone now, it’s a burner phone that’s usually used in the military,”

Rong Yue nodded again as she wondered what she would tell her while Qin Yichen sent Lu Bo a message.

Not long after, Lu Bo came in with the phone wrapped around a fingerprint.

“Master,”

“Hand it over to her and go back,” Qin Yichen said simply. Although Lu Bo had his thoughts and reservations about Rong Yue, it was nothing related to how he treated Qin Yichen so he did as he asked and left the house again.

Rong Yue called the number as soon as he left and her heart started to thump wildly with anticipation as she felt the phone ring. After all, the phone number that the system had found was unreachable completely.

“H..he.. hello,” a shaky yet, familiar voice rang out from the other end of the phone as soon as the call connected.
