Chapter 525-Dave's Dominance
Chapter 525
<Primordial Sin of Gluttony>
<<Devour>>
Dave licked his lips, satisfied with the meal.
He looked at everyone with a terrifying smile, and they realized that, despite his seemingly harmless appearance, his power was terrifying enough to kill the duke effortlessly.
"Hmph, you are arrogant," a voice suddenly boomed.
Sensing that most of his strongest subordinates had been killed, the emperor himself appeared, flanked by two mysterious beings.
The aura of these two figures was on par with the emperor.
Also, the emperor's aura states that he was near a breakthrough to the Demi-God level.
The two demons, on the other hand, were archdemons, meaning they were celestial immortals but only at the Low God level, similar to the power Irethane could exert.
Dave's clones had learned that there were no such restrictions before because the Goddess of Light protected everyone in this place.
However, it was heard that the Goddess of Light had suddenly become dormant, but she assigned a guardian to guard this plane and set a restriction that only Low Gods could enter, or they would face punishment from the Goddess herself.
This restriction meant that all of them could only use Low God-level power.
Dave also learned that the Demon King himself had made a move in the dark and managed to capture the guardian of this plane, allowing them to move freely without being attacked by the guardian.
He also learned from Irethane that the Goddess of Light couldn't help humans because she was undergoing a trial, and no one knew when it would end.
This revelation shocked Dave, making him realize how pitiful the human race had become in this state.
Despite the guardian being captured, the restriction remained. If the Demon King forcefully removed it, it might alert the Council of Gods.
"Interesting," Dave mused. "So, the humans are left to fend for themselves, and the demons are bound by restrictions. Yet here you are, thinking you can take me down."
The emperor, his face twisted with rage, responded, "You may have killed Duke Richlie, but you won't leave here alive."
The two archdemons beside him prepared for battle, their demonic energy swirling ominously. Dave's smile remained unfazed. "Let's see how well you fare against someone who isn't bound by such limitations."
"Heh, what an arrogance."
Archdemon Faalri spoke, his towering 4-meter-tall body emanating formidable physical power.
"Yeah, you're more arrogant than the bastards from the pride lineage,"
Boom!
"Die! You will pay for your arrogance," the emperor roared as he and the two archdemons launched a barrage of attacks at Dave.
However, their assaults felt like they were hitting a solid wall, with no effect.
Sensing something amiss, they retreated, realizing their attacks were futile.
"Wow, that was fierce," Dave remarked casually.
Suddenly, a shield materialized in front of him, stunning the archdemons as they recognized the skill.
"A sloth lineage skill!"
"Is it the legendary Slothbound Shield that only demon lords possess? The one that can absorb any attack without limit?"
They were left speechless as Dave effortlessly waved his hand, causing the shield to vanish as if it had never existed.
"It seems the archdemons from the wrath lineage are also disappointing. Looks like I need to show you what real power looks like,"
Dave taunted, his confidence unwavering.
Dave smiled and suddenly flicked his fingers.
The scene seemed to slow to a crawl as a single snowflake appeared in the sky, descending gracefully toward the land.
All eyes were fixed on the snowflake, and the demon and the emperor were struck with shock as they sensed an intense cold emanating from it.
"No, we must escape," one of the archdemons cried out, fear evident in his voice.
They could feel that the snowflakes would easily extinguish their lives if they made contact.
"Too late inggas."
Dave sneered as the snowflakes touched the ground, and everything seemed to freeze in place.
<<Absolute Zero>>
Swoosh!
Suddenly, a majestic black ice enveloped everything, sending shivers down everyone's spine.
The commoners realized they were unharmed, but many nobles and officials were covered in ice, their breaths halted.
The soldiers suffered the same fate, although Dave spared those who were not demonized.
Only the emperor remained unaffected, as Dave intended to torture him slowly and break his spirit.
