Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Star Tower, Divine Art

"What is this Pagoda, exactly? What sort of treasure could it be?"

"Ten Thousand Beasts bow down, it's the master of the void, was it this that brought me to the Barbaric Wilderness Continent?"

Ye Chen looked at the seven-storey Pagoda in his Qi Sea, cautiously sizing it up with his Mind and Spirit.

Just as his Mind and Spirit touched the Pagoda, suddenly, he felt the first level of the Pagoda swing its doors open wide. A powerful suction force tugged at his Mind and Spirit.

As the world spun around him, Ye Chen found himself entering another space.

The first level of the Pagoda.

This was a majestic hall, extremely silent without another soul in sight, with only Ye Chen himself there.

On both sides of the hall, there stood five massive Fire Altars, with flames burning fiercely within them, illuminating the entire hall as bright as day.

Ye Chen examined the hall and suddenly discovered dense, tiny characters on the wall.

The characters shone with a strange light, instantly capturing Ye Chen's gaze.

As Ye Chen looked towards these characters, he saw at the very top five words—"Primordial Star Scripture"!

These five words, carrying an endless charm, made one unconsciously immerse themselves in them.

Ye Chen, even in the instant he fixed his eyes on those five words, saw the galaxy change, saw endless stars, as if within those five words laid a vast universe itself!

Magically peerless.

It wasn't until a long while later that Ye Chen awoke from the allure of these five words.

His heart started pounding wildly.

Fusing the memories of two worlds, he had never seen such magical script, and Ye Chen felt that this "Primordial Star Scripture" must be hiding great secrets!

Ye Chen continued to look further below the characters.

What he saw under the "Primordial Star Scripture", the accompanying text read: "The Primordial Star Scripture is a Supreme Divine Art that I created after traveling through the Endless Star Domain, stepping onto countless worlds, and just before joining the great war of the 'Azure Sky Star Sea', I left it in my homeland, in the Divine Artifact 'Starlight Tower', waiting for someone predestined."

"The Primordial Star Divine Art, according to my thoughts, is divided into nine chapters. Unfortunately, even I have only managed to create seven chapters of this Cultivation Technique."

"These seven chapters are hidden within the seven floors of the Starlight Tower, only those with sufficient strength will be able to obtain them."

After all, such a Divine Art is so miraculous; it couldn't possibly be an easy thing to cultivate.

After reading all the inscriptions on the wall again and etching them firmly into his memory, Ye Chen walked over to the center of the five massive Fire Altars and sat down.

"The Starlight Tower has brought me to this Barbaric Wilderness World, and I hope I have enough fortune to cultivate this 'Primordial Star Scripture' and truly have the means to live and stand my ground in this foreign world!"

"Now, let's start with the spell to unlock and begin cultivating the first layer of the 'Gang Yuan Chapter' of the Primordial Star Scripture!"

Ye Chen closed his eyes and silently recited the spell inscribed on the wall for unlocking the first layer.

As soon as he completed the recitation of the spell, a gale surged within the first level of the Starlight Tower, and flames shot up from the five massive Fire Altars, burning furiously!

Zi Ji Star Lord had explained that if the flames changed within three days, it meant one was fated for the "Primordial Star Scripture," within two days, it was very likely one would obtain the Gang Yuan Chapter, and if one could incite the flames of the Fire Altars within a single day, one would surely unlock the "Gang Yuan Chapter."

Ye Chen had only just finished reciting the spell, not even a single quarter of a day had passed, let alone a day; it had been but an instant!

And yet the flames within the five massive Fire Altars soared into the sky!

This indicated that Ye Chen was even more fated for the "Primordial Star Scripture" than Zi Ji Star Lord had anticipated.

The five massive Fire Altars blazed fiercely as Ye Chen became fully immersed in the Flame Illusion Realm.

Involuntarily, Ye Chen reached out to grasp these flames...

In the great hall.

As Ye Chen reached toward the flames, a clear beastly cry suddenly rang out from one of the fiercely burning Fire Altars, and with that cry, the entire hall lit up with brilliance.

Amidst the endless radiance, Ye Chen saw that all the flames transformed into words that flew into his mind.

Scattered at first, these words quickly arranged themselves into a pattern, forming a spell.

This was the initial spell of the first chapter of the Primordial Star Scripture, the "Gang Yuan Chapter" — the "Meridian Refining Art"!
