The first wife retracted her sharp gaze and looked at the second wife with a gentle smile, as if nothing had happened. The way she looked at Second Madam was like a completely different person.
"Don't worry, I won't blame you." The first wife took a step forward and looked at the second wife gently.
When Second Madam heard what the first wife said, she raised her head and looked at the first wife with a pair of limpid eyes full of suspicion.
The first wife turned a blind eye to the questioning look in the second wife's eyes. She gracefully turned around and walked out of the pavilion. Peach and Bing'er hurriedly followed the first wife out of the pavilion.
When Second Madam saw Eldest Madam walk out of the pavilion, she couldn't help but let out a heavy sigh of relief. However, just as she let out a sigh of relief, the first wife stopped walking. She half turned around and glanced at Second Madam. A faint, cold smile appeared on her face. "I won't pursue this matter with you, but I'll tell the first wife about this matter."
Second Madam's face immediately turned ashen. She retreated a few steps back before falling heavily onto the ground.
The Second Madam's personal maidservant hurried forward in an attempt to help the Second Madam up from the ground. However, she was pushed away by the Second Madam and shouted, "Scram!" After which, she coldly looked at the back of the first wife as she slowly walked away.
Bing-Er took a few steps forward to help the eldest lady out of the pavilion. When she left, she turned around and glanced at Second Madam, who was lying on the ground, and saw her staring at the eldest lady's back. Her vicious eyes contained a hint of helplessness, unwillingness, and fear.
Bing-Er looked away and left the pavilion with the lady in her arms.
"Why are you so stupid? Just let Second Madam casually say that I am worth it. To even go against her, getting slapped by her isn't worth it! " Although the first lady didn't look at Bing'er, her tone was full of reproach.
Bing'er lowered her head and replied in a low voice, feeling wronged, "I just can't get used to Second Madam insulting you. That's why I chose to talk back to Second Madam."
The First Lady patted the back of Bing'er's hand gently, "I know, but you must remember not to be so reckless next time. Otherwise, if I don't save you the next time, won't you suffer a great loss?"
Bing'er nodded, "Thank you, Madam. I saved Bing'er this time."
Bing'er supported the first lady into the Full Moon Pavilion. The first lady had just entered the Full Moon Pavilion when she collapsed on the bed. She didn't even take off her outer garment.
Bing-Er was stunned. She wanted to help the lady take off her coat, but a peach behind her grabbed her arm.
Bing-Er turned around and looked at Peaches, but she shook her head at Bing-Er, motioning her not to take off her clothes.
Bing-Er turned around and looked at the lady lying on the bed. She thought for a while and decided not to take off her clothes.
"Madam, this servant will take his leave." Bing-Er bowed slightly towards the lady and followed her out of the Full Moon Pavilion.
Just as they reached the door, the first wife's voice slowly came from the bed, "Little Peach, you know what to say to the prime minister, right?"
Xiaotao turned around and bent over towards the first wife on the bed. "Madam, don't worry. Xiaotao knows what to say to the first wife." After saying that, Xiaotao pulled Bing'er out of the room.
She looked at Bing'er with gratitude and said, "Thank you, Bing'er. If it wasn't for you, I'm afraid I wouldn't have been able to escape from the Second Madam." Looking at the five finger marks on Bing'er's face, she couldn't help shivering.
"This is only a small matter. Don't worry about it." Bing-Er reached out her hand and touched her face that was still in pain.
Xiaotao looked at Bing'er unhappily, "How could it be a small matter? Look, your face is still red and swollen. This Second Madam is really too harsh!" If Bing'er hadn't reminded her loudly, she wouldn't have been able to escape this slap.
"It doesn't matter, I'm already used to being beaten." Bing-Er shrugged. She then glanced at Xiaotao and asked her in a seemingly casual manner, "Earlier, I heard Second Madam say something about cotton wool. Who is cotton wool?"
Just as Bing'er finished her sentence, Little Peach rushed in front of her and covered her mouth tightly, saying nervously, "Be quiet!"
Bing'er nodded her head, indicating that she would definitely whisper.
Xiaotao looked around worriedly. When she was sure there was no one near them, she removed her hand from Bing'er's mouth.
Bing'er pretended to be nervous and looked around carefully. When she was sure there was no one around them, she ran over to Xiaotao and asked in a low voice, "Who is Jinmian?"
"Bing'er, let me tell you, you can't tell others, this is the taboo of the first minister!"
Bing-Er smiled to herself. She knew that Xiaotao might know something about it. Thinking of this, she hurriedly nodded her head and promised Xiao Tao, "Don't worry, I will definitely keep this a secret."
Xiaotao looked around worriedly before she whispered to Bing'er, "Jinmian is the eldest wife's son, she's already two years old this year."
"The son of the prime minister? "How could that be? I've been a maid for so long and I haven't washed a single piece of child's clothing, much less seen any children entering or exiting the residence of the prime minister!" Bing-Er pretended not to believe Peach.
Little Peach glanced at Bing'er helplessly, and then pointed at the broken house, "The First Wife once made a mistake and was sent to the 'Cold Palace' by the First Elder." It was, but for some reason, the first wife was pregnant with the first wife's child. That was why the first wife and her personal maidservant were brought out of the palace by the first wife. The young master was naturally weak and could lose his life at any time.
The doctor said it was because the First Lady often didn't have enough to eat when she was pregnant with him. The Prime Minister had always felt guilty for not taking good care of the doctor to prevent the young lord from having such a weak body. Thus, ever since the young master was born, he had been treated by a famous physician on Mount Baiyun. The young master had never been to the Prime Minister's Estate, and usually, even the eldest wife and the prime minister rarely saw him. Plus, when the eldest wife got pregnant, no one knew. Even the first wife only found out that the eldest wife was pregnant with her child after the first wife gave birth. When the first wife rushed to the small house, the eldest wife had already given birth.
There are only five people in the entire House of Prime Minister who know about the young lord. The first lady, the second lady, Xiu-Er and I. Xiu-Er is dead now. Only four people know about the young lord. " She paused then continued, "If it wasn't for the fact that you were pregnant and gave birth to a young master, you and Xiu-Er would still be locked up here, and the sun wouldn't shine!"
