Rhys had Lyn try on many outfits. But none of them seemed to fit when she came out wearing a s.e.xy-looking dress.
Rhys placed his hand on his face, automatically covering his reaction, oi hold on. Did he really pick something like this for her to wear? He immediately tells her to get changed again - and Lyn stepped out moments later wearing a pale ruffled off-shoulder lilac-colored western-style dress. His heart skipped a beat when he saw her dressed this way. Oh, wow…
He thought he already knows how beautiful the girl was. But now that he can see it in person. He doesn't know what to say.
__
"Please put on these high heels."
While Lyn has more or less gotten used to wearing formal western clothes. It didn't make it any easier for her.
"Okay," Lyn said as she made her way over, and sighed. " Rhys making me wear this. Yet you're going to say again that this won't do won't you?" As she said that though, she lost her balance and tripped over the heel. Only to be caught in Rhys arms.
"Idiot, what are you doing?"
Lyn stepped back, feeling the red dawn her cheeks, "S—orry," she said stumbling on her words. Uwaa, what's with this? Why does she keep finding herself in these moments with Rhys today?
"Well...this outfit is very fitting. It's cute.
At that, she looked up at him with her eyes wide. Eh?
"Mam are you okay?" One of the female workers asked.
Lyn immediately backed away from Rhys then. "Y—yes."
Idiot, don't go getting lost in your own world over there. There are still in the middle of the shop, still in a public place. Yet she placed her hand on her heartbeat that had yet to calm down. How odd, her hearts beating quite fast. Is it because Rhys called her cute?
Usually, she forbade that word in her books. She never allowed people to get away with calling her that, shed usually start a fuss by now. But somehow, it makes her happy hearing him call her that.
Perhaps she --- the black-haired girl shook her head, no-no. It's only because you're not used to being complimented. Whenever he says it normally, it ends up sounding rather seductive since he's a pervert. And Kazuya has never been the kind of guy who would compliment anyone in the first place. If you're wearing something beautiful and he thinks you look good in it, he would merely nod or show through his actions. Actions, huh...
' Sometimes, actions speak louder than words.'
Ah, that's right, it would be similar to that person. That may be why she's getting such feelings now.

"We're going to wear these outfits out, I'll pay," Rhys said before the Princess could even think of pulling out any money. He whipped out a golden card from his wallet and was about to make the transaction. When Rhys spotted Lyn looking at a certain jacket in the male section, he lets out a quiet sigh to himself, of course, of course, she's thinking of another guy in a time like this. Prince Allen isn't the kind of person who would wear stuff like that, let alone Prince Zenith. So with those two crossed out, it's for that one, huh?
He really didn't think that one would stand a chance at all. But it seems like he really shouldn't underestimate any of his rivals. Or rather, Rhys gets the feeling that guy didn't stand a chance at all.
Huh, how interesting?
He supposed he could carry on observing that one for a while longer once they exited the store. "I guess we should head back now," Lyn said.
Yeah, that would be for the best.
The only reason the excuse worked in the first place was because they were drenched. They can't get away with it for a second time. But even so, "Since we came all this way, we might as well get the supplies. There's a series of art shops down there," Rhys said, pointing to the aisle that led down to the outdoor mall.
Ah crud, even though he said that casually. It's going to sound like he's asking her out on a date and all that. And she's probably got other things to do, "It's fine if you can't, I'll just contact the others or take care of---" his thoughts broke when she grabbed hold of his arm, causing his eyes to widen.
"Etto, I'll go with you. But I can't walk in heels properly so....."
Rhys already knew where she was going with that sentence. Even so, it really was making his heart skip a beat. This feels like they're on a date. Oh gee, he will start thinking strange things if he's left alone with her for any longer. However, he spots the girls red cheeks. Perhaps he isn't the only one that gets so nervous.
......
"Windchimes, they're pretty."
His gaze lands on the brunette who reached over to let the melody of the wind chimes fill the area. She really has become more pretty, huh?
Rhys wasn't the kind of guy who focussed on looks. But he had to admit that appearance-wise the girl has changed quite a bit. For sure, she was going to grow up to become a woman, eventually. However, Rhys didn't realize he would witness it up close. Honestly, he already knew though, that if Kazuya was in his normal state. He wouldn't get this time with her. He's somehow found his resolve and doesn't seem to be holding back as much anymore.
"Look look Dango."
Sure enough, not too far from where they were was a stall selling Dango. "You know about it?" It was an eastern food.
Lyn smiled, "Un, Kazuya bought me some before."
Once he bought them for her, the black-haired girl took a bite. " Yummy, it's delicious."
Ah, she really does make such a carefree face when she's eating, huh? Almost like a little kid.
Rhys wondered how long they could remain together like this. How long can he stay beside her? Before she truly chooses. 'Rhys, I'll tell only you. That girl has not chosen anyone. I saw it, during the battle - entering that place only once. The threads are still there; none is tied with her own yet. It's because of that; I believe that she's still suffering. That girl is still afraid to accept love'.
Afraid to accept love...
He supposed it was normal for her. Typical for her to be scared after all that's happened in her life. But Rhys doesn't want her to be afraid anymore; he doesn't want her to be scared of an emotion that you're supposed to be feeling.
"It's not fair if I'm the only one eating here."
Oi oi hold on, is she thinking of feeding him? Then again, he supposed it wouldn't do any harm. Rhys bent down and took a bite, clearly catching the girl off guard. " U...a...I didn't think you'd...uh I thought that you'd just…"
Though the girl was blabbing on, Rhys clearly got the message. Stupid, you weren't meant to do that.
Rhys averts his gaze, "What's done is done right? Let's go."
It seems like today he will carry on making even more of a fool of himself. But maybe it was fine this way, once in a while, he should be carefree like this.
