Chapter 487:
No matter how much, or how often people hurt each other,
Loving someone is never a waste -
When he woke up that day she is right beside him; holding on to him so very tightly.
There is no traces of Kazuya even touching her on her skin. It was enough for him to see that she made that much of an effort. Since then it doesn't seem like they have seen each other at all. Since then he hasn't seen Melissa either.
His attack came at the right time, it stopped him from answering that question, not that he had any intention of properly answering her anyway. ' How can I face her after all that's happened?'
Rhys noticed her presence in this town since their short tour around the cities. During several of their lives she was sitting in the front row.
Not too long after he saw her he contacted Luxin.
'Why not just jump down and hug her?' That guy makes everything sound so damm easily. He obviously couldn't do that. He feels guilty about what happened with the two of them; even more guilty after he found out that the girl really did like him. But even more than that he wants to properly be with her.
He unlocked the door to the apartment to find it empty.
'She isn't here..'
Did she go to Kazuya's? Even though she said she would stay with him. Rhys shook his head; her fiance is probably working her overtime or maybe she had lessons.
Rhys placed some doc.u.ments down when he saw several things stacked up in a corner.
Welcome home!
There is a loving miso soup in the pot.
Don't forget to eat your vegetables too.
I'll be back before 8.
From Lyn.
His gaze softens, it's fine isn't it? For them to live together, for them to continue caring about each other.
…..
Rhys didn't know what he did until she came back. The day felt endless, so when the door opened and Lyn came in. He pinned her against the door.
"Rhys, nngh. Hey . . isn't this too much. "
The second he saw her he greeted her with a gentle kiss; which quickly escalated.
"You want to go on the bed? Maybe the couch, I don't think I have the patience for that."
"Really. . you're so childish. . .."
"I don't hate you who acts stubborn either."
He is guilty for touching her so many times. He knows it's wrong; and yet why does he have to hold himself back from touching the girl he loves? It makes no sense at all to him.
He doesn't want to hold back when she's living together with him like this.
" . ..couch. .. " Lyn managed to say despite being out of breath.
Rhys nodded and lifted her towards the couch. One of his hands roamed on her sides and lips firmly on her b.r.e.a.s.ts.
"Nnnghmmm. Hey. . this sort of thing, didn't you say you didn't want to do it anymore?"
"Did I say something like that?"
"You did ahhngh."
What a nice sound, he likes it a lot. The sound of her voice when she's singing and the sounds she makes when he makes love to her. To him they are all equally as beautiful.
From the very beginning it was a one sided love. Explaining from a certain angle, his love began when he was out of love. It was so ironic. But, he did not feel sad at all, compared to it; being able to accept their happiness is already a miracle.
Even though he is not able to tell her how he feels, she will still smile alongside him. If it's to protect her smile, he will do whatever he can.
That's right from the very beginning, the luxury of confessing to Lyn. He never thought of doing before. Not because he didn't have the confidence but because what he wanted from her was never a relationship. All he wanted is for her to continue smiling. If she could always smile brightly like that, then nothing else matters to him.
But now things have drastically changed.
His gaze fell on the girl who was sweating all over, her face flushed. "Was work tiring?"
"I think I'm adjusting to being a Princess." Lyn trailed off and sighed. "But Allen is really serious about his work."
"That guy is too stiff." Rhys chuckled against her ear. "Then, maybe I should come with you."
"Like I could let you do that."
Rhys kept attacking her neck. "Hey, what's with this dress?"
The girl wore a lacy white off shoulder dress. "It's short."
"It's a new western fashion trend."
"It looks good." Rhys mumbled.
'Good is an understament.' She looks gorgeous, enough to eat. It's too bad he can't do anything other than this. "Hey, you're out of breath."
"I think I have a little fever."
"You do?" He brushed his hands across her forehead and frowned. "Yeah you do. Did Prince Allen not notice?"
"Of course he wouldn't. I'm good at hiding these things."
"More like your stubborn." Rhys quickly got off her. "Let me make you some medicine."
"Mmm, I'm hungry."
"Food then. I made something earlier."
"Rhys, thank you."
Why is this stupid girl thanking him? If it weren't for him she could be resting in her room properly. 'I need to stop attacking her.' Rhys made his way over to the cabinet and pulled some empty bottles out.
He removed some herbs from one of the plants and started to crush it. Ever since he met Lyn, Rhys knew that he would not be able to go back to how he was before.
They spent a lot of time back then teaching languages. It was fun to learn something all the time. So they were always together. From that time, she was the only person who remained in his sights.
Lyn loved to sing, whenever she sang it made her look free. He knew she could sing because he would stumble upon her singing in the harbour sometimes. Even without directly seeing her face he knows it's her due to that flowing hair.
She loved to sing back then and he loved listening to her. Her clear voice had a way of taking the turbulent atmosphere surrounding him and washed it all away.
If angels existed they would smile brightly like her.
