Chapter 40 - 38. Anthony Ward

Heading to their house on Friday evening the party agree to meet up on Saturday to train and exchange some notes about things they learn all this week.

-Saturday Morning-

"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!" Alice exclaims as she proceeds to tackle a man watching TV on the couch.

"Alice!" Alice's father said patting his daughter's head.

Alice's father, Anthony Ward is a middle-aged man who works as a game developer in a well-known gaming company. He is not the lead game developer or any supper expert like that. He is just an older employee who has many experiences in game design. Due to the snowstorm he only manages to re-book his flight to Friday night and arrive on Saturday morning.

"Dad, you know about the experiment? The school already informs you, right? We do a lot of cool stuff in school. Albert got a snake from the experiment. Look!!!" Alice said while pointing her finger at Luna excitedly.

"Ooh, what a beautiful creature. Is it a soul pet, Albert? You're really lucky to get a soul pet as your first mastery. Even tough soul pet is not a rare mastery it's not really common either. And to acquire one you need to have an affinity with the said creature."

"It's not a soul pet, dad; What is soul pet? And how much do you know about all of this exactly? Can you explain it to me one by one? My brain almost explodes through reading the manual that they gave me. You told us to go through with the experiment so I assume you know something, right?"

Anthony Wards start telling his son that he's involved in this project New World as one of the game designer expert that they hire. They need someone like him because of all of the knowledge about how to evolve an ability and how it should work; Someway or another it follows RPG game logic.

The world government decided to make the top 10 game company works together on this project as a researcher. As someone who has a lot of experience in game design, Anthony selected to works in this project since two years ago hence, he often got send out of town to works on the project.

"The government found a new planet called Eden and decided to move off our people into that world. We did not invade Eden as they possess an intelligent being that is stronger than us. Seeing that Eden possess an intelligent being; The government tries to communicate with the native of that planet. Fortunately, the native in Eden is also a human there's no problem there. Although Eden posses intelligent being beside human; human still is the majority"

"Trough some diplomacy lead by the world government we successfully establish a pact with the leaders of the new world. From them, we learn that the human in the new world possesses a unique power and ability to evolve. But that is not the most surprising thing we learn from them."

"GOD. After further communication, we learn that Eden possesses a living breathing God who creates the planet and has unimaginable power. That God that created Eden took interest in us after he learns our existence especially after he tries RPG games. He is baffled by the similarity of the games world and his world and offers to shelter us after learning about earth's condition."

"To cohabit with the native in that world we have to makes it equal grounds so we can benefit each other. Taking interest in this world entertainment the God decided to modify his world even further and gave the occupant system like in RPG games hence the status tab and everything. Their God grant us a way to awaken our ability so we have the same opportunity as their native and grant their native system so they can learn more about themself and become stronger."

"We can't send all of our people at once to their world or it would destroy the balance so we decided to send young people who have better adaptability so they can place foundations before we sent all of our people. Although we already made a deal to cohabit with their God we didn't know how their native would react so we can't be too careful about it. To make sure you're safe in your new environment the government makes a device that would send your consciousness into that world."

"So the government decide to make us play a massive MMORPG in the different worlds?"

"You can say it something like that but there are also some things that you should take a note on. First, their native is NOT an NPC so you have to be mindful about how you interact with them. and Secondly, this is real and not a game. Although you can't die in that world because we only send your consciousness and not your real body that doesn't mean that there are no consequences when you die. and Third, we all knew that there is no limit to human greed and although I emphases a lot on the world government you still have to be careful to some people that would take advantage so they can have better standings."

Albert's Mom stops their discussions as the food she prepares is ready to be eaten on the table. The timing is impeccable as Albert's brain is getting hotter and hotter processing all these pieces of information to dump that his Dad gave him.

'I need to sort this information out and tell Kana and James when we meet later this afternoon.' Taking note for himself Albert's brain busy preparing a bunch of questions to ask his dead after they finish eating.

While Alice is helping her mom with the dishes Albert continues his discussions with his Dad.

"You have to keep distance around people with power; Some countries already show that they have different agendas. All countries get reset as they arrive at the new world, no matter how influential you are the God doesn't really care and put you on the same start. To reclaim their dominance people of power already start multiple factions using their offspring to build a sturdy foundation."

"Big countries with a high population are having a hard time staying united while smaller countries already try to create small alliances to compete with the big one. World goverment couldn't really put them on the lease as technically the one who makes move are the youngster so instead they put their own faction to compete with them."

"The safest option for those who did not want to be involved is to tie themself into a bigger tree namely the natives country. With the world current power, they wouldn't provoke the natives as they are strong and can wipe each faction with a flip of a hand. And with how massive Eden is you can freely establish your own country if you have the power to protect it. Due to this reason, various power agrees just to try to reclaim new lands instead of taking the lands from natives."

Anthony's lesson cut short as the bell of Ward's manor ring. Anna, Kana, and James arrive at Albert's house to learn more about the game. With Anthony here, they can even ask him more about the game world as he is part of the research team.
