Chapter 175: Demon Of The Battlefield[II]

Seeing the sudden shift in the battle scenario and sensing a Martial King at the front freezing everyone, Liebert and his corps were ordered to take care of them.

The monsters were born to wield weapons and battle. They did not do what they would do other times but during the war, they partook in the job of shedding blood on the battlefield and slugging it out with the most powerful enemies.

They would get even more elated and excited every time they swung their weapons. They savored the vague sound of cracking bones in the enemy's body.

But this time things took an unexpected turn as it was then who were on the receiving end.

Libert, who was the Corps Commander, frowned seeing them trying to break out of enforcement.

'Although they can break out, why are they advancing here? Are they planning to take on the huge troops ahead with more elite soldiers at the back?'

'And...what about that man who is charging out of the battle formation?'

On reaching the front, he along with others saw a tall human swinging a huge black sword of twice its length.

Even for a monster it was a menacing man who swung his great sword with a large force casting deep fears. With a swing off his sword, he chopped a head or two and sent blood as well as flesh splattering everywhere.

The sight of Leon's black greatsword was both terrifying and mesmerizing. As he gazed upon it, he couldn't help but feel a shiver run down his spine at the sheer menace it exuded. The blade, drenched in blood and gore, seemed to pulsate with a dark energy that sent a chill through his bones.

Bits of flesh and bones clung to the serrated edges of the sword, evidence of its deadly efficacy in combat. Liebert's eyes were drawn to the gruesome sight, unable to tear himself away from the horrifying phenomenon before him. Each piece of flesh stuck to the blade served as a grim reminder of the sword's deadly purpose, sending a wave of fear coursing through his veins.

The blackened steel seemed to drink in the blood of its victims, casting a sinister aura that hung heavy in the air.

Liebert could almost feel the malevolent presence emanating from the weapon as if it were alive and hungry for more carnage. In that moment, he knew that facing an opponent wielding such a weapon would be a battle for survival unlike any other he had faced before.

''Wait....That Blacksword.."

Shortly after that, he shouted.

"Him!''

Liebert's eyes widened in disbelief as the memory resurfaced.

An order given to them by their liege.

[If you see a man wielding a huge Black greatsword with menacing eyes, make the lower realm ones retreat and all the upper ones try to hold him down.]

'But this also means he is a valuable opponent and bringing his head would make a great contribution.'

But that icy woman was making things difficult so he decided to use the mage squad to get rid of her.

Liebert gritted his teeth in horror and shouted, hold him.

However, the moment Leon's sword struck the shield, it cracked under his sword tyranny.

"We... we have to retreat," one of the surviving Mages stammered, his voice barely above a whisper as he struggled to compose himself. "There's no hope against him."

At times Leon snapped his head towards them. The Mages flinched seeing those burning gazes.

"Flee....Where..."Leon murmured, activating his Draconic eyes.

Behind a wave of front-line orcs slowly started crashing behind them.

"Leader....Leader..."

"Huh!"

Liebert's expression turned ugly as he lost his composure for a moment.

"Maintain the form..."

His shout was abruptly cut off by bewildered screams that annoyed him greatly.

"KIEKKK!"

"KHMUMMM!"

"I can't...RUNNN!"

Even before he could finish his sentence...

Nodding in grim agreement, the others hastily gathered their wits and began to flee from the battlefield, their footsteps echoing loudly against the ground as they scrambled to escape the wrath of Leon.

A strong mental pressure crashed onto everyone's mind radiating from Leon scaring the shit out of them. Everyone that stepped into 50 meters of Leon radius felt their back tingles and body shiver in fright.

For a moment everyone had the illusion of great dragon claws encroaching upon them.

"AHHHHH!"

"RUNNNNN!"

"I can't take it anymore....RUNNNN!"

But even as they fled, the memory of Leon's devastating charge lingered in their minds, a haunting reminder of the merciless force that had decimated their ranks.

And as they disappeared into the distance, their cries of despair echoed faintly in the wind, as Leon, like a grim reaper, chased after them.

"Hey, where the hell are you going? Get back and give me exps."
