“If you have no opinion, you may leave.” Ji Ziming felt satisfaction at the sight of Pei Ge repressing her anger.

“Okay.” She feebly glared at him and trudged out of the office.

A smile appeared on Ji Ziming’s lips that he himself did not realize as he watched her leave.

While he was in a daze, his hand phone rang.

His eyebrows twitched when he saw the caller ID and slowly picked up the phone.

“Ziming! Little Chili turned out to be Pei Shishi’s cousin! Boy, this is too much of a coincidence!”

Hearing Mu Heng’s excited voice, Ji Ziming frowned. “Who is that?”

“…F*ck!” Mu Heng could only remind him helplessly. “It’s that spendthrift princess who kept pestering you in the past!”

With his friend’s reminder, Ji Ziming somehow recalled a person like that.

“Pwa ha ha! If Pei Shishi knew that you don’t remember her, she would probably grit her teeth in anger!” The thought made Mu Heng laugh out loud.

He ignored Mu Heng’s teasing and asked with furrowed brows, “How did you find out that Pei Ge is her cousin?”

“Please. Don’t you look at your company’s internal forum?” Mu Heng amusedly asked, adding, “Go look at it quickly. Poor Little Chili is getting slandered and scolded to no end there.”

Mu Heng disdainfully remarked, “Sure enough. No matter how many years have passed, that spendthrift princess will always be venomous and ruthless. It’s such a pity for Little Chili.”

“What do you mean?” Ji Ziming suddenly thought of Pei Ge’s unusual behavior of snatching back that resignation letter this morning. Although they did not know each other for long, he still understood how stubborn the woman was. Once she decided on something, she would never go back on it. However, this time…

“Go look for it at your company’s internal forum. You’ll understand everything after reading it. Sigh… I really feel heart ache for my family’s Little Chili. No, I should comfort her right now! Maybe Little Chili will even fall in love with—” A certain CEO promptly hung up the phone before Mu Heng could finish speaking.

Putting his hand phone to one side, Ji Ziming’s brows were still tightly knitted together.

Finally, he moved his mouse and opened up the company’s internal forum for the first time. It was also the company’s gossip place.

He did not have difficulty finding the thread about Pei Ge, as it was the top post on the first page of the company’s internal forum and was even the sole thread with the ‘hot’ tag.

Ji Ziming pursed his lips in displeasure at the title of the thread.

Inexplicably, he thought of Pei Ge’s beaming look at this moment.

How could she still smile like that?

Reading through the comments below the forum thread, his eyes gleamed with a cold light and his lips pursed in a straight line.

He promptly logged in to his administrative account and directed himself to the settings page. He then clicked on the ‘delete’ button resolutely.

[Administrator, are you sure you want to delete this thread? (Yes) (No)]

He unhesitatingly clicked on the ‘yes’ button.

The thread disappeared from the first page of the webpage soon after, causing quite the stir among the company employees.

Pei Ge knew nothing of this, though. After leaving the CEO’s office, she proceeded to occupy the seat before her new workstation.

As she was about to unpack her things, she saw the box containing them to be drenched with water.

Luckily, no electronic devices and only books, as well as other office trinkets, were in the box.

“Who did this?!” Pei Ge, who was now burning with rage, swept her gaze across the few secretaries around her that were pretending to not have heard her question.

“No one wants to confess? Just great! I’ll just water you all one by one, then. You’re all potential culprits, anyway.” Pei Ge sneered as she poured the water inside the box into the potted plant next to her workstation.

Once she emptied the box of water, Pei Ge threw it on her desk, retrieved her cup, and walked toward the water dispenser.

Swash! The cup was immediately filled with water.

When the few secretaries, who were feigning ignorance, saw that she seemed serious with her threat, they started panicking.

Although they had only met her today, from how she had fought with them, they knew that Pei Ge was not someone to be trifled with! More importantly, this lass’s strength was really too great. Even if they ganged up on her, they would still not gain the upper hand!

Therefore, her claim was made scarier by the fact that she could really do it!

“Don’t you come over! It’s not me! It’s all Liu Yue’s doing it!” Seeing that cup of water getting closer and closer to her, the short-haired secretary readily betrayed Liu Yue.

There was no love lost between Liu Yue and them, so they had no qualms about giving up her name. Who told her to be such a hateful person, anyway?

“He Yan!” Liu Yue turned to fiercely glare at the one who had betrayed her.

“Why? You really did it. Why are you getting mad at us for mentioning it?!” He Yan rolled her eyes with loathing when she received Liu Yue’s hate-filled gaze.

Pei Ge listened to their conversation, glanced at Liu Yue, and nodded her head. “Alright, I understand.”

She then returned to her desk and placed the cup of water on top of it.

At this, everyone else in the office was momentarily dumbfounded.

Where did that domineering person from just now disappear to?

Just as they were wondering about this, Pei Ge soon started moving again.

She walked toward the water dispenser, squatted down, and then… She picked up the big bucket filled with water that was placed beside the water dispenser.

“…” Everyone stared wide-eyed at her brazen actions, and before any of them could react, she was already standing right in front of Liu Yue and was dumping all the water inside the bucket on the latter’s head.

“Ahhhh!” Liu Yue, who got drenched all over, screamed in horror.

Although it was summertime and getting drenched with water would not result into one catching a cold, the sticky feeling was definitely uncomfortable. Worst of all was that the water was stagnant.

“Well, I’m a person who knows how to be grateful. I will repay a drop of kindness with a spring. The same goes for feud; I’ll repay it with a spring.” Pei Ge raised the bucket in her hand and said this with a smile.

Her smiling face inexplicably made everyone shudder.
