Chapter 524 - Where will Pei Ge like to live?

“Don’t tell me that you actually don’t want to live with me and are just teasing me?”

His face stiffened.

“Are you really just teasing me?” His silence suddenly made her want to tease him a little.

Hng, hng, hng! Since you’ve made my life difficult, I won’t let you have an easy time, too!

“Ah… So, you really were just teasing me. Forget it, then. Treat it as if I’ve never said anything.” She shrugged nonchalantly.

The man, who was originally the dominant party in this conversation, lost his position to Pei Ge with her words.

He clearly knew that she was pulling his leg, yet he still felt his heart quake at it, so he involuntarily spouted, “I’m not teasing you; you’re forbidden from forgetting it.”

These words left his mouth so fast that he seemed to be in a haste.

She did not expect for this standoffish man to say something so childlike suddenly.

As such, she was momentarily amazed.

“Are you really not teasing me?” She grinned at him with glee.

Perhaps, since she had already thought things through, she now felt very relaxed.

In fact, she now looked forward to living with him, thinking that it might be interesting.

“Mhm.” Regaining his composure, he lightly peered at her. “Since you already have a plan, I will give you one day and then send someone over to fetch you on Monday.”

“Mhm-kay.” She leaned against the backrest. Although she appeared nonchalant, she was actually very nervous inside.

Rea-Really living together just like this…

While her heart was still in turmoil, she quickly reached her home in his car.

When she hopped out of it, she was still a little dazed. All she could think of was…

Aiyo! The hell! I’m actually going to start cohabiting with this annoying fellow for real!

“I’ll have someone fetch you on Monday.” He reminded the dazed her who did not even bid him goodbye after alighting.

Her mind cleared up at the sound of his voice and she nodded at him in acknowledgement.

“Okay, sure.”

She then remembered that the man’s mother wanted to go shopping with her tomorrow.

“That…” She looked at the man in the driver’s seat hesitantly. “Is your mother serious about going shopping with me tomorrow?”

“Mhm,” he merely hummed in response.

His expression made her certain that Mother Ji was hell-bent on accompanying her to the malls the next day.

“I-I just came up with that excuse about shopping with my mom on the spot, though. Also…” She nudged her lips helplessly. “If your mother meets mine, my mom will definitely find out that we are dating.”

He unhappily frowned at her words. He was displeased that she did not want her mother to know about their relationship.

“What of her finding out?” He threw her a side-eye before he quickly floored the gas and disappeared from her sight.

He did not even bid her goodbye, only leaving her to bite the dust behind his car.

“Cough, cough, cough!” She coughed a few times and glared indignantly at the car, which had vanished from her sight.

“The hell! He didn’t even say anything and just left! He actually drove so fast in a residential area, too…” she complained under her breath.

Also, what did he mean by ‘what of her finding out’?!

*That annoying fellow is truly willing to throw me to the sharks just for his parents to think that he has a girlfriend! *

I, on the other hand, don’t have the need for a boyfriend, though!

If my mom finds out about us dating, what should I tell her when our contract expires?

With an uneasy heart, she slowly climbed up the stairs back to her home.

“Mom, I’m back…”

“Auntie, I’ll get going now!”

“Mhm-kay. Go back for now if you have something on.”

After the main leads left, the two other women chatted for a while and then bid each other goodbye, too.

Mother Ji, who was now contentedly sitting in the car, fished out the phone from her handbag and dialed a string of numbers, which was annotated with a heart shape at the back.

“Hello…” Her eyes lit up when the call connected.

“Hubby!” She called out happily to the person over phone and then happily gave a rundown of what had happened this afternoon.

“Isn’t it quite serendipitous? Our son’s girlfriend is the woman who saved our Love in the past. His eyesight is really good this time! From my judgment, she’s a really nice lady!”

Mother Ji hugged her phone and laughed.

Father Ji was not buying any of it, though.

“Hmph! You think she’s good just because of that? That woman from back then even saved… Forget it; forget it. Let’s stop here.”

His unhappy voice came through the phone. Clearly, he was not the least bit satisfied with Pei Ge.

“Hubby, I really think that Ge Ge is a good lady. More importantly, our son truly loves her.” Her husband’s cynicism did not diminish her happiness at all.

“Hmph. How long has it been only?” He did not pay much heed to it.

“Tsk. You also fell for me in such a short span of time and refused to marry anyone besides me back then.” She nudged her lips before she snorted.

“Th-That’s a different case.” He seemed to be a little flustered.

“How is that different?! Anyway, the way our son looks at her is just like the way you looked at me at that time! It is equally as awkward as yours – clearly liking someone but not wanting to show it. He he!” As she said this, her eyes slowly clouded over with nostalgia.

Meanwhile, one of the main leads of these two’s phone conversation, Ji Ziming, was currently sitting in his swivel chair within his spacious office with a brooding look on his face. He seemed to be making a very huge decision for the company at the moment.

Unbeknown to everyone who could see, his thoughts were totally unrelated to the company.

Where should the house for our cohabitation be?

The apartment? Bauhinia Court?

No matter how much he thought of it, he still could not find a suitable place.

For some reason, he rejected every place that a normal person would find comfortable to live in.

Every time he thought of a place, he would promptly think of whether she liked that kind of place or not.

What kind of house would that dumb woman like exactly?

Hm?!

His eyes glinted with light and a smug smile slowly crept across his lips.

“Du Wen, come in for a moment.”
