Chapter 1631 - What clothes are you wearing? You look best like this.

“It seems that those women won.”

Murong Cheng felt that it was a pity because he was more inclined to feel that Ji Ziming was a crazy wife-lover. However, he had seen those bruises on Pei Ge’s body for himself and he would not believe it if they were fake.

Qu Xiujie laughed and ignored his friend.

Meanwhile, on another end, Pei Ge and Ji Ziming had just finished their exercise. They embraced each other in their sleep, but her phone rang suddenly as she received a message.

[Sister Pei Ge, have you found Xiaoyu’s whereabouts?]

She picked it up and saw that the message was from Qin Qitong. Somehow, everyone was suddenly asking her about Tang Xiaoyu’s whereabouts, but she had nothing to say for she herself had no idea where her best friend had gone or what kind of life she was living.

“Whose message?”

Ji Ziming turned on the light and heard the woman exclaim. He turned, only to see her hiding under the blanket with only her head exposed. His lips curled up. This little woman is as cute as ever.

“Are you that afraid of light?”

He smiled subconsciously as he looked at the blushing woman.

“I haven’t worn my clothes yet.”

“What clothes are you wearing? You look the best like this.”

His smile revealed that he was in a good mood, especially when he saw the woman hiding under the blanket like a porcupine.

“Don’t laugh!”

Pei Ge glared at the man yet was deeply attracted by his eyes. Before she could release her rage, she was drawn to the tenderness in his eyes.

“I won’t laugh anymore. Answer me: Whose message is that?”

His gut feeling was telling him that the message was from a woman. Indeed, it was so.

“It’s from your cousin. She asked if I have news on Tang Xiaoyu, but I don’t have any.”

She sounded vexed because not only did she not have news about her best friend, she had no idea where the other went, too. As her best friend, it was pathetic not to know where she went.

“Don’t worry; just tell them the truth. As for where your best friend went, she’ll naturally contact you when she wants to. Don’t worry.”

Ji Ziming’s voice was deep and gentle when he consoled her.

“Mhm.”

Pei Ge nodded as she removed her arm from under the blanket. She typed her reply before putting her phone down and continuing to sleep in his arms. He waited for her to be sound asleep before turning his phone to silent mode and sending a message to his assistant.

The message quickly had a reply.

[No.]

There was not a lot of information in a single word, but the man was relieved.

The next morning, Qu Jingwan indeed carried her luggage and was driven back to her family by the driver. Standing at the entrance to the Ji family’s mansion, she turned around to look at it. She felt as though she were overturning rivers and seas inside.

She needed to prove that everything required time even if it took a long time.

As long as Pei Ge was here, she would return. That was because this family’s wealth could only belong to her.

The sun shone in the room, which was filled with romance. The two people in bed were looking at the wind blowing with sleepy eyes. The breeze was mixed with the smell of the sun and the morning fresh air.

This house had the best location in the capital. If Ji Ziming was willing, he could construct a lake in front of Pei Ge’s bedroom.

“Good morning, woman.”

He leaned his head against his hand as he smiled at the woman who had just woken up.

“Good morning.”

She turned around and rubbed her eyes. Just as she moved to sit up, she was pinned down by him. He would not get up no matter what as he looked at her with dreamy eyes.

A beautiful morning should start with some exercise.

When both finished dressing and came downstairs, Auntie Zhang informed them that Qu Jingwan had left.

“It’s great that she left. Very good.”

Ji Ziming smiled and nodded in agreement. He was not a bit upset that the lady had left; instead, he was glad that she did. From now on, there would be no more outsiders in the house.

“Sir, ma’am, the breakfast has been prepared; plus, the home tutor will be here soon. I’ll go wake the children up.”

“Home tutor?”

Ji Ziming suspected that he had heard wrongly but he had not. He really heard ‘home tutor’.

“Yes, it’s madam…”

Auntie Zhang had no idea if she had said the wrong thing. She stammered and dared not continue.

“It’s a tutor hired by me. I’ve been teaching the children when they were overseas. Now that they are back, they can’t neglect their studies. When the time is right, I’ll send them to school, so I hired a home tutor to teach some classes at home.”

Pei Ge pulled the chair and told him this.

“Great, the children’s studies are a good thing and we should support them.”

He did not feel awkward or angry yet still looked at her with a slightly complicated look.

Since when did his woman do this? I have no idea about it, too…

“Okay.”

She nodded. Both did not say anything much because they knew what each other was thinking.

Indeed, when the man was driving to the company, she told him why she had found a home tutor for the children. In the end, he only replied, “Hm.”

He was indeed as frosty as an iceberg.

Pei Ge did not say further because she knew what he would say. As an intelligent person, she stopped speaking regardless of what he said. She also replied ‘hm’ and nothing else.

The moment the car arrived at the company’s entrance, his secretary and Ellie dashed out at once. They trailed after the couple and quickly reported important matters concerning the company.

The assistant and Ellie stopped when the couple entered the elevator.

“They seem to be very anxious.”

Standing in the elevator, Pei Ge said softly.

“If they aren’t anxious, they won’t be irreplaceable.”

Ji Ziming seemed to be hinting at something, but he did not finish his sentence.

“True. After all, it is tough to be irreplaceable. How do you intend to settle Ellie’s problem?”

“I’ll buy her a new car which has greater functionality and suits her more.”

He sounded cold, but it gave her a sense of security.
