He Yuan opened his eyes and shook his head. He honestly had nothing to say about Mo Jiu's character. He was too dumbfounded.
Mo Jiu was arrogant, since he was so talented, but he had low EQ on top of it. He was the kind of person to say or do things that would get you angry and when you indeed got angry and tried to fight him, he would still blame you for starting everything.
Basically, most of Mo Jiu's fights started like this;
[ Mo Jiu: "Hey why are you so ugly?"
-Random cultivator: *gets angry*
Mo Jiu: "Hey what are you so angry for? I only called you ugly, which is true, what right do you have to get angry?"
-Random cultivator: *attacks Mo Jiu out of anger*
Mo Jiu: "I only called you ugly and you want to kill me? Fine. Now I have no choice but to kill you and your entire family in order to protect myself. Don't blame me, blame yourself for attacking me first!" ]
It was plain ridiculous. Mo Jiu's excuse was always self protection or preservation and yet he constantly did things to hurt or anger other people.
The man had boldly slept with his daxiong's betrothed and when Mo Sheng had gotten angry and constantly went over to insult him, Mo Jiu had blamed Mo Sheng and had beaten him up for, of course, self preservation.
Even when Mo Jiu had been defeated by Mo Sheng, Mo Jiu, like the sore loser that he was, had accused Mo Sheng wrongly and then he stood on the sidelines when the other cultivators had beaten Mo Sheng to death.
It wasn't his fault, Mo Sheng could only blame himself for practicing dark arts.
When elder Mo had explained everything to Mo Jiu, the 'once in a lifetime genius' had opened his loose mouth to still blame Mo Sheng for not speaking up. How on earth would Mo Sheng have spoken up with thousands of people trying to kill him?!
Even when he did, his voice was drowned out amidst the thousands of false accusations heaped upon his confused head!
The righteous cultivators were just looking for an excuse to begin the war against the demonic cultivators once more and unfortunately, Mo Sheng became that excuse.
He Yuan stood up from the ground and dusted his robes as he wondered just how confused the demonic cultivators would have been back then. They did nothing wrong and yet the righteous ones began attacking them again.
Mo Jiu, like the righteous cultivators, was also looking for an excuse to take over the world and the war that 'his daxiong had started' was the perfect excuse. It was total bullshit. If Mo Jiu truly only cared about ending the war, he wouldn't have taken over the other righteous sects.
The man's ambitions had always been as high as the heavens -the only thing greater than Mo Jiu's ambitions was his libido- He used excuses and blamed others just so he would feel justified when he did cruel things.
He was the favoured son of heaven so he had the capital to be arrogant. He Yuan didn't give a shit if Mo Jiu wanted to be arrogant or not, but why didn't the man leave other people out of his arrogance?
He Yuan wondered why the heaven did not just strike him to death. It was just plain unfair. Demonic cultivators who level up fast, just like Mo Jiu, might meet death after the Dao seeking level, only because they were descendants of demons who had cultivated a human form eons ago but Mo Jiu was free.
And yet, the arrogant waste of space had the guts to say that he worked hard to pave his path. What hard work?! Mo Jiu spent more time sleeping with his harem than he did cultivating.
In all his task realms, He Yuan felt that Mo Jiu was the luckiest special one. The man literally did not have to do anything before encountering enlightenment opportunities.
Whenever he needed a break through, he either stumbled upon powerful artifacts or foes presented themselves to him and these foes would randomly have a special artifact that would be beneficial to Mo Jiu's advancement.
Mo Jiu's talent wasn't the trait that was heaven defying. It was his luck. His luck did not only defy the Dao of heaven, but had potential to takeover the heavens itself.
With Mo Jiu's luck, he shouldn't even have started as a random cultivator in this realm, he should have started as the jade emperor in the heavens.
He Yuan placed his hands on his waist and stared up at the sky. Personally, he felt Mo Sheng's death was just unfortunate and might have been avoided if the leaser hadn't chosen to remain low key.
It made absolutely no sense. Why on earth would anybody prefer to receive insults? It took six years for Mo Sheng to catch up and in those six years, the war between the righteous and demonic factions had been called off.
Even if Mo Sheng wanted to keep his hybrid status a secret, him and elder Mo should have come up with an excuse about how Mo Sheng's meridians been blocked or something. That would explain why he couldn't advance at first and then reason Mo Sheng could now advance would be because his meridians had been cleared.
It was a lie, yes, but at least people wouldn't have jumped him for being strong all of a sudden. It was still possible for Mo Sheng to catch Mo Jiu off guard because no one would actually know the true extent of his cultivation.
Mo Jiu was arrogant. The fact that he was able to defeat elders with higher levels would make him not to put Mo Sheng in his eyes and Mo Sheng would have still won in the end.
So in He Yuan's opinion, Mo Sheng's decision to completely hide his cultivation had been a little dumb.
Mo Sheng's situation had been a classic case of playing the pig to eat the tiger, only that Mo Sheng became a true pig in the end. It was quite pitiful. Sigh~
He Yuan looked around the medicinal garden. Now that he'd gotten the realm information, he realized that these plants weren't just medicinal plants but were also spiritual herbs.
They had different functions, all of which were either beneficial to cultivators when eaten raw or could be used to refine pills of different grades.
Which brings him to his current location. He knew now that he was currently in the Alchemy peak.
There were seven major peaks in the Duoluo sect; The Alchemy peak, the Weapon crafting peak, the Trading peak, the Assignment peak, the Martial arts peak, the Spirit beasts peak and the Cloud peak.
There were other minor peaks for the elders, the sect master and the inner and outer disciples. That was why Mo Sheng's master, elder Mo, had his own private peak where Mo Sheng and Mo Jiu resided with him.
He Yuan walked over to the front of the shed. It was quite odd that Shen Mianmian had chosen the Alchemy peak to fight Mo Sheng and it was even odder that Mo Jiu hadn't showed up for the fight.
After all it was a fight concerning one of his harem members.
He Yuan groaned outwardly when the realization had hit him. Mo Jiu had of course chosen this peak and the reason he was absent was because he was most probably with the female peak master of the Alchemy peak, practicing acrobatics.
Shen Mianmian was quite unfortunate. She had been fighting in order to gain freedom to be with her man but said man had been busy plowing another woman in the same environment.
What could be said? Building his harem was the most important thing to Mo Jiu after all.
