Once He Yuan was fully settled in Mo Sheng's courtyard, he imprinted the interspatial ring with his spiritual power. Next, he browsed through the contents of the ring and his mouth watered. How could Mo Sheng have rejected such good stuff?
Elder Mo was an Immortal master so he had accumulated a mountain of wealth throughout his over-a-thousand year lifetime. Unlike other masters, the old man treated Mo Sheng and Mo Jiu as more than disciples.
He treated the two young cultivators as his sons -something He Yuan was grateful for because there was no way a master would be this generous.
There were about one hundred high grade spirit stones, a thousand medium grade spirit stones and ten thousand low grade stones. According to He Yuan's observation of the storyline, he was quite well to do!
There were about five teleportation talismans -each could only be used once so he had to be careful. There was also a beast sachet -a magic tool for keeping spirit beasts. At the age of eighteen, each Duoluo sect disciple would go over to the Spirit beast peak to subdue and form a contract with a spirit beast.
In the storyline, Mo Sheng hadn't attended because he, as usual, felt inadequate. Things like this made He Yuan pity Mo Sheng. The fact that Mo Sheng hadn't been able to cultivate had dealt a huge blow to him. Adding the fact that his mates always went out of their way to make fun of him, the leaser had developed a very low self esteem.
He Yuan sighed and moved his attention back to the contents of the storage ring. He finally found what he needed the most. A transportation artifact. Unlike the one elder Mo had used earlier, this one wasn't in the form of a talisman.
Rather, it looked to be made of metal and was shaped like a flower. He Yuan took it out and squeezed it in his palm. Even though the artifact looked to be made of metal, it was quite flexible.
He Yuan smiled as he rushed out of the room, imbibed his spiritual power into the flower shaped artifact and threw it in the air like elder Mo had done with the crane.
The artifact spun wildly as it lifted higher and higher until it fully expanded into a large lotus flower. He Yuan was awed even as he commanded the artifact to lower and hopped on it.
He spent the next hour gliding around Mo Sheng's courtyard in low altitude trying to get used to the feeling of flying without protection. The ride was quite enjoyable.
Once He Yuan was settled in the room again, he checked the remaining contents of the interspatial ring. There were robes -protective garments, he assumed because he could feel spiritual power coursing through the seams. There was also one jade slip for communication and three hidden weapons shaped like little metal balls.
He Yuan recognized them because he'd seen Mo Jiu use them in the storyline.
Now that he was done with the ring, He Yuan focused on his plan. His main task was realm balance. That being said, he absolutely could not let Mo Jiu become the emperor of the mortal realm once more and in order for that not to happen, Mo Jiu must not become overpowered.
He Yuan began listing off the opportunities that pushed Mo Jiu into enlightenment and breakthrough. Mo Jiu was currently at the middle stage of Core formation.
His first major encounter would be during the spirit beast hunt a year from now when the disciples would be required to subdue and contract a spirit beast. Mo Jiu's spirit beast had, unsurprisingly, been a phoenix but before he bonded with his beast, he'd been set up by a group of cultivators from a different sect.
Although the Spirit beast peak was counted as one of the major peaks in Duoluo sect, it was in fact open to cultivators from all sect during the hunt.
The cultivators that set Mo Jiu up had been jealous because the jade twins -a pair of breathtakingly beautiful male and female twin siblings from their sect- had fallen for Mo Jiu as soon as they set eyes on him.
The jealous cultivators had lured Mo Jiu to the spot where a ten thousand year old beast had been buried under a formation in the Spirit beast peak and had performed the ritual to release the beast.
How they knew about the ritual, no one knew.
Mo Jiu, with no other choice, had valiantly faced off the beast and came out victorious. Next he'd absorbed the ten thousand year old beast core and had directly jumped three stages to land in the middle stage of Nascent soul.
After recuperating for three days, Mo Jiu had found himself in the deepest parts of the Spirit beast peak where he'd subdued the phoenix and formed a contract with it.
The second major event had happened when Mo Jiu and Mo Sheng turned twenty four and Mo Jiu had encountered his very first bottleneck and was stuck in the late stage of Nascent soul because of complications that hadn't been noticed by him when he absorbed the ten thousand year old beast core.
Mo Jiu encountered a yin furnace. The alluring lady was a demonic cultivator who had been escaping from some evil cultivators who wanted to refine her into a pill and some righteous cultivators who wanted to dual cultivate with her due to her constitution.
Mo Jiu had intervened and fought them all, rebuking the righteous cultivators for trying to harm an innocent lady because of their greed and then he'd proceeded to take her to the Converging peak and claim her for himself.
Dual cultivating with the lady had broken Mo Jiu's bottleneck and had made him advance two stages, directly landing him in the early stage of the Spirit severing level.
He Yuan resisted the urge to sigh whenever he remembered that part of the storyline. Mo Jiu had been very hypocritical but then he claimed to be different from the other righteous cultivators because he didn't dual cultivate with the lady because of her constitution but because he 'loved' her.
It hadn't even been up to three hours since they met but apparently, that was enough for Mo Jiu to fall deeply in love.
The final push that had carried Mo Jiu to the top was when he'd gone into the Dao ancestor's secret realm. He encountered different opportunities that made him advance in stages but when he absorbed the inheritance, that was the cherry on top as the power had been enough to enable him skip an entire level and had directly land in the early stage of Immortal ascension.
He Yuan decided that he had to ensure that these three milestones never happened in Mo Jiu's life. The second one might be hard but he was going to try his best.
Next, He Yuan decided to cultivate using the [Strongest Martial Arts] instead and try to expel the unwanted qi from his body but before that, he was hungry.
Food was usually delivered to their peak by the outer disciples but He Yuan noticed that they never brought any for Mo Sheng. Instead, the Mo Jiu pleasers ran over themselves in order to fill Mo Jiu's courtyard with food.
He Yuan left Mo Sheng's courtyard and walked in the direction of Mo Jiu's courtyard. He didn't have the time to go over to a different peak to get food. He could hunt for pheasants and other small animals but he had no idea how to cook.
When he arrived, he saw trays of food set out before Mo Jiu's gate, just as he expected. Mo Jiu did not like it when the disciples brought food into his courtyard because -more often than not- they always interrupted his sexscapades so he had instructed them to always leave it before his gates.
After his exercise, Mo Jiu would come out and choose form the different assortment of premium food laid out.
He Yuan happily rushed over and piled his robes with all kinds of food and rushed away. Cultivators usually didn't need to eat but when the food was made with ingredients containing spiritual power, it was different.
Mo Sheng, on the other hand, was a step above being a normal mortal so he still needed to eat regularly -whether or not the food was made with spiritual ingredients.
He Yuan moaned as he stuffed his face with food. There was so much out there so it was impossible for Mo Jiu to notice. He had absolutely nothing to fear.
