Chapter 1835 Measures
The next day morning, Sam and Noah moved as planned. They started establishing some special formations in all the areas that they are allowed in.
As long as the area has some surrounding forests, they didn't hesitate and laid down the formations. As for designing, Sam didn't need much effort. He already has the basic design from the vine in the Undead realm.
He just needed to reprogram the genetics so that they would consume other elemental energies as well as life.
It is not much of a problem as for the tree design that would absorb these vines later, Noah would do it.
They started planting the formations as well as seeds.
Sam used his puppets to the extreme. Particularly the small insect puppets that are made to spy and made them plant the vine seeds everywhere possible. Of course, they are still unable to do much near the coastal city, but for the next three days, they covered all the territory they could.
In these three days the trees grew bit by bit and soon they are just like any other normal trees, but they are all part of a formation.
As if on cue, on the fourth day, one of the alliance members managed to 'find' one of the vines deep in the forest.
They found it based on the hints Sam gave about their appearance.
And thus the people had to hold a meeting to discuss it.
"Sam, what you said was true. The vines are there, what should we do now?"
"Don't worry about it, the formations are already in place. The primary force to resist is ready, we only need wait while improving bit by bit, so that we can face it with much more vigor.
I suggest we fuel the trees a bit more before they come into contact with the vines directly. That way, we would be able to gain most out of it. The fuel will also be converted into the fruits that you could use later."
Sam just kept on bullshitting and the faction leaders started doing whatever they want at this moment.
Meanwhile the remaining players are guiding the tower constructions in the alliance strongholds. On the fourth day the first tower was constructed.
The faction leaders were very skeptical about the tower because the construction was so fast. But it was done so fast, because the formation plans and the construction design and even some techniques were given by Sam.
He gave them away easily, because they are very basic in his territory.
In desolate and other areas that Dusk was in, these towers wouldn't even make the cut to be used as trial constructions for practice.
But for these people, the tower functions are extremely novel and new. They also appeared efficient.
The first tower is actually based on some simulation combat experience.
There are a bunch of puppets in each floor and each floor simulates a level of difficulty with the puppets and the environment. It is a very basic design. The only tough thing about it is since it is used to increase the combat experience, the cultivators will have their cultivation restricted to the mortal level and the puppets fill fight them at the same.
They will have to fight puppets with skills rather than power and the difficulty of the puppets increased based on the attacks they can deliver at these people.
The people tried the tower and they were stunned by what they say. They couldn't believe what these puppets can do and then they also realized something else.
The puppets are learning from these people and they are trying to replicate some of the moves, particularly in the close combat.
After trying that out, the expectations for the next tower were on the rise.
Three more days passed and Sam finally started making the next moves on the plan, the seven "This is indeed a great resource. Too bad, this is going to be finite though. The vines cannot keep coming for this.
towers were constructed and the seven star alliance is drunk on all the new things they obtained. The vines are occupying the forests.
The beasts are dying rapidly and a lot of forest area has turned into deadland.
The vines started spreading around.
But soon their advance stopped as soon as they entered the formation area of the seven star alliance.
The trees grew even more.
At this moment, one of the faction leaders of the seven star alliance is looking at one of the trees that grew. Their eyes are completely stuck on the tree.
The vines that spread across hundreds of meters are actually being devoured by the tree. There are a bunch of wooden humanoids that are made of wood but are spitting fire everywhere. These flames are also being devoured by the tree.
As the absorption rate increased, the tree is constantly changing its shape and form. Soon, the fruits appeared.
Just when the tree is full of fruits, the faction leader couldn't help himself and walked towards it. Even though the surroundings are full of vines, he just walked in. The vines didn't even touch him.
He plucked a fruit and bit into it.
Pure fire elemental energy surged into his body. He hasn't seen such pure energy outside of someone's body.
Luckily, he is also a fire element user and the fruit is beneficial to him. Even though the benefits are not too significant, he still absorbed the energy as it came. He felt so refreshed.
"This is indeed a great resource. Too bad, this is going to be finite though. The vines cannot keep coming for this.
But from the looks of it, we might be able to change the input into the trees and get different outputs. I should talk to Sam and Noah."
He spoke to himself and collected all the trees before he left.
The tree kept on absorbing the energy.
Similar situations are happening all over seven star alliance territory.
Meanwhile, back in players' residence.
"So, we created some very good resources and training environments for these guys. What is next?"
Arkiv asked sarcastically.
"I am going to make the next move, you guys are not needed for it. After that we just need to wait for a short while and we can escape."
"What is going to be?"
"I am going create some decoys. I am going to use the oldest trick in the book to the point that it would almost seem laughable."
For the next few days, Sam just kept on creating some spatial transference scroll.
Meanwhile, the news of the gains the seven star alliance gained spread all over the solar sect area.
The people of the solar sect obviously had some spies that sent the news over and soon the people from the solar sect as soon as they realized that the results are good.
Now that they knew a tasty and juicy pie has landed in one of their subordinate territories, they wanted a piece of it. So, the news of the solar sect officials coming to the town has arrived.
The faction leaders fell into a pickle and finally as if their behinds were set on fire, they all came back to meet Sam and the players.
"The solar sect head already got the news about. He is sending some officials in the name of some kind of inspection, but from what we know, he is definitely sending them to get the benefits.
He wouldn't be very pleased about the fact that Zeus favors seven star alliance and not the Solar sect.
We think that you might be in trouble if they try to seek you out."
"I can understand. Tell them just this.
We are not here to cater to Solar sect's needs and there is no way, we are going to work for him for either money or force.
If he tries to do something to us and try to force us out to do something, then we would be taking some measures that might not work well for you guys and escape."
The faction leaders frowned.
They don't know what Sam meant by Drastic measures, but they really have a bad feeling about this.
