Chapter 1879: Free Reign*BOOM*
The Earth Giant Commander turned around to see a large explosion happen.
Unlike the bullet that hit him, this one is not as concentrated, but that lack of concentration gave it an area effect. He watched as over a dozen giants including some of their elite being ripped into shreds.
He gritted his teeth and charged towards Sam.
He could finally see him directly.
Sam on the other hand only had that smirk on his face.
He loaded the third bullet and aimed at the commander.
This made the commander halt in his tracks for a moment.
The next moment, the commander felt like he has suffered the greatest humiliation of his life. A mere human made him hesitate and stop in his tracks.
Meanwhile, Sam felt extremely satisfied with that reaction. That's what he was expecting anyway.
Of course, Mitra also had an obvious reaction. His mouth hasn't closed in the past couple of seconds and it wouldn't close now.
Sam didn't shoot the commander, instead he aimed the gun randomly at the ground.
At least that is what it appeared like.
But only after the bullet landed did the commander and Mitra understand that it is anything but random.
*BOOM*
A huge explosion of wind energy took away a large chunk of soil and among that soil, a body of giant is floating around while it is being ripped apart bit by bit.
It is one of the three giants tasked to find out Sam's location.
After that, Sam and Viswa disappeared from the spot.
The commander arrived right after that. Even if he could feel the fluctuations of the spatial energy and even if by a massive luck he managed to calculate the accurate location to where the spatial transfer led them to, he is hesitant about pursuing Sam and Mitra.
His back is soaked in sweat as he retreated back and took a count of the casualties.
He turned to the Tree Giant Commander and Wind Giant Commander who are looking at the whole scene while their backs soaked in sweat as well.
"I believe we have some things to discuss after this. Are you up for it now?"
Earth Giant Commander asked coldly.
The other two nodded nervously. Whatever caused the current situation, they are not really ready to face it directly themselves.
Sam's actions were like a wake up call to them.
After the whole area was cleaned up a new formation was being arranged around the city.
"So, what do you guys think? You have seen what that guy is capable of. That weapon is a bit weird. It is launching the projectiles, but I think the projectiles themselves are weird enough."
Earth Giant spoke heavily. He felt exhausted all of a sudden.
"I don't know what to think of it. Do you think, humans have a bunch of people handling those kinds of weapons? If it is true, then there is no way we could successfully defend the territory we occupied. At least not with the current manpower we have.
We might need to ask for reinforcements from the main tribes."
"Yeah, sure like that is possible. We already stretched our man power thin by bringing so many forces.
If our tribes become any weaker in the home ground, then we will be handing ourselves to the Great Giant tribe.
Also, I got the news that our tribes are dealing with some beast problem."
"Beast problem?"
"Yeah, all the beasts in the wilderness are acting up. It seems like a very high level bloodline beast appeared in our planet and they are controlling the beasts and rallying them up against the Giants.
Nobody knows how they appeared all of a sudden.
And the worst part is, the beasts are risking their lives to take the corpses of the giants away."
"Taking their bodies? Are those beasts addicted on Giants' corpses? That would indeed be dangerous. What are the tribes doing?"
"We don't know yet. Those beasts are fucking smart. The attacks are only happening in weaker areas. They are capturing the stray squads and the youngsters. They are not targeting the cities. The largest settlement they went are after some camp grounds set up by the tribes."
"Anyway, leave it. This is not what we need to think right now. We need to find a way to deal with that guy. Please feel free to say something related to do that instead of some fucking nonsense."
While the commanders are discussing Sam, he is standing in front of Mitra far away with the sniper rifle in his hands.
"So, I think I won. I killed more people than forty eight, so feel free to stay silent for a bit longer time."
Mitra looked at him like a kid who was being bullied and said in a dissatisfied tone.
"There is no need for that. You are the one who killed extra people. I didn't ask you for it. So, it is your problem."
"Alright, two days. No questions, no annoyance. I guess I will be content with what I earned."
"Hmph."
Mitra just crossed his hands as he stood there. Clearly discontent with the current situation.
"Anyway, contact the camp and tell them about the situation. The Earth city is defenseless at the moment, and the remaining two cities don't have their commanders there.
They could either choose to attack the Earth city or one of the other two cities.
Based on their decision we make our move."
Mitra was about to say something but stopped.
"What is it?"
"I have a question. I don't know if I should ask it or not."
"Is it related to what our next move is going to be?"
"Yes, I don't understand the plan."
Sam shook his head and said.
"As long as you don't try to get some answers and intricate details of the plan, it is fine.
As for the plan, it is simple. If they are going to attack the Earth City, we will provide support in a certain way and it would be us attacking the Wind City and Wood City.
We can't have the commanders ganging up on the human forces.
And if the camp chose one of the other cities, first we will aid them in taking down some defenses and spreading their forces for the camp to have much easier time. After the initial push, we will go back to the remaining two cities and make sure the commanders stick around."
"Alright, just give me a second."
Mitra went to the side and relayed the message Sam gave him.
Meanwhile, Sam just closed his eyes and replayed the damage the bullets had done. The bullets are made out of liquid divine energy.
As soon as Sam got enough divine energy, he started experimenting with it. He couldn't forget the benefits he gained from the liquid spiritual energy, so of course he had to try it and the results didn't disappoint him.
The only problem is, each bullet actually took up a lot of divine energy. If started out with a full tank and emptied it completely, he would be able to get out enough energy to create one bullet.
It is a huge expense but the returns are worth it.
He is contemplating on how to better use those bullets. After all, it would take a whole day for his Divine energy to fully recover, right now it is all well and good since he doesn't need to act that much.
Also, if he could store the Divine energy in liquid form, it will be beneficial to keep it as a backup in case he needs to recover quickly.
There are all kinds of factors that he needs to consider.
While he is lost in his own mind, Mitra came back.
"I don't know if it is a good news or bad news."
"What is it?"
"The main camp gave us the free reign, just like you said, they are sending in some squads into the territory. The squads' job is to operate in between the three cities and create as much trouble to them as possible.
All squads are being led by a bunch of prodigies from different factions. It is kind of a competition.
So, we can do whatever we want, but we need to claim our achievements properly."
"Huh, is this part of your brother's plan? Why are you so dull?"
"It might be my brother's plan. Only he and the faction that is supporting him has this kind of influence to change plans in the last moment.
Also, all the other squads have more than seven people in it. But we are only two people and we are also considered a squad. It is an unfair starting point."
Sam thought for a moment and said.
"I don't why you are taking that much offense from this. In my opinion they gave you a compliment."
"What compliment?"
"They are thinking that both of them are equal to a seven member squad. Our individual worth is more. Even a bunch of enemies or rivals treat with so much worth, what is the point of rejecting it? Just embrace it and move on."
