Chapter 2351: Sleeping Prince
Sam and Crow moved to their next target.
They went after another Poseidon academy student. For whatever reason Crow decided to focus on one academy after another in taking down the opponents and Sam is all up for it. He has a beef with Olympian academies anyway.
So, screwing them over while helping Crow wouldn't even feel like he is putting in much effort.
Of course, while he did so, he also made sure that he strapped the creatures with the trinkets.
He noticed that effect of the trinket is higher on a higher level creature. So, it is best displayed on the violet level creature.
Because for the violet level creatures, even though initially the skeleton is broken completely, as time passed and it recovered back from multiple breaks, the effect of the breaks is not as intense.
It only left cracks over the body at one point and the skeleton healed quickly because of the trinket itself.
This made the skeletons move even though they are getting injured and recovering. This also increased their energy density at an unprecedented level. Sam also noticed that the skeleton seemed to be reaching a certain limit as it went through the breaks and repairs again and again.
He wondered what it holds after it reaches the peak of the violet level.
After the second candidate is done, the third one also belonged to the Poseidon academy. Once they are done, they moved to the Ares academy students.
One of them is already dead and the remaining two are at the same spot, critically injured. Crow who is still close to his hundred percent is more than enough to deal with them. After finishing them, their question continued for another thirty minutes, before they took a break.
These people did put up a desperate struggle.
And the creatures... there are just way too many.
Sam and Crow went to one of the safe points they marked. It is a small crevice in the rocky terrain. He fixed up a formation that concealed them. They recovered. From that high altitude, they did get a decent view of the surroundings.
What is the status on that?" The first elder asked.
"He is still in the pocket dimension and he is stirring it up. He has been on an edge ever since The entered that dimension."
"When do you think we can expect him out?"
"Judging by the way it is going, he will either turn out to be a winner or he will die soon."
"Then let's hope for the former. He must not die in there. If he dies while being in possession of the fog... I can't even imagine the consequences if the fog disappears."
"If he really dies with that fog in his possession, the fog disappearing is least of our worries. The very fact that he managed to suppress it without decaying into a pile of dead tissue is already something beyond our understanding, so he might just trigger something involving the passage.
So, we need to get our hands on the fog as soon as he comes out."
"But, are you sure we can do that?"
The conversation came to an abrupt halt at that question. They might not have been directly involved with Sam, however they are sure that he is not an easy guy to deal with. He captured that fog intentionally, so they have to assume that it will not be an easy task retrieving it from
him.
And both of the elders know about it.
After some pause, one of them spoke.
"Just keep an eye on him and tried to talk with Olaf about getting a direct meeting with the candidates. If something looks like its really going wrong, you talk to Chorus and make him
give up on Sam's behalf so that he can get out.
Until then, I will keep prince in his sleep so that he stays stable."
