Chapter 115: [Spectators and those who joined the 'discussion']

"How much do you guys know about the essence of Laplace?" I asked as I looked at them, wondering how much of the story I needed to explain to them.

"Essence of... Laplace?" Adrius asked, as he seemed to be fully invested in that talk.

"You guys... are you sure you know who Laplace was even?" I asked, dumbfounded this time. Were these idiots trying to summon the first demon lord just for fun or something?

"We do... our leader knows him... we are doing this for our leader," Albedo shouted as he was slightly irked by my remark.

"Well... let me ask you this, then. Why is your leader trying to revive the demon lord?" I asked as I felt as if I was getting caught in between a bunch of kids who had powers.

They wanted to do something great, but neither had any idea of how to, nor as to why.

"Our leader-" Albedo wanted to speak something, but a presence appeared not too far from us behind Adrius.

He came out of a portal filled with darkness, his eyes red and so was his entire body. With a single horn on the left side, his demonic origins became apparent.

He wore a black robe that covered his back and sides, and a black pants to cover his lower body. Intricate patterns of black origins were visible all over his face and body, that seemed to pulsate bit by bit.

Everyone, except me and Morpheus, stood up as we looked at that man walking towards us.

[Eyes of Mana!]

Pitch black mana revolved around his entire body, and a red string of fire seemed to be burning on the opposite side of his head where the horn was symmetrical with his horn.

But that mana... it was calm. Despite being of demonic origin, it was calm.

He walked towards us as he sat on the seat where the pink-haired mage was sitting beside Adrius.

"Shouldn't you be dead?" I asked as I looked at that guy, making the others turn at me in surprise before the purple-haired mage almost shouted,

"YOU DAR-"

But he was stopped by the demon, as the demon didn't seem to mind.

"Since you asked that question, let me ask that question. Are you with them?" He asked as he looked at me and I sighed as I answered honestly,

"We have allies in darkness and so in the light. We are also the worst enemies of each. Whether you take us as enemies or allies depends upon you and your actions."

He looked at me for a few seconds before turning to Morpheus. He tried looking through him, but the [Greater Ring of Illusion] was something that even Gods will have time to look through.

"Peculiar... how peculiar," he spoke before Morpheus chuckled as he spoke,

"Not as peculiar as the Son of Laplace being alive, despite it being stated in the revelations of the Gods."

A cold breath blew as everyone except Adrius and me was surprised this time. They looked at that demon with an even more fear filled gaze than before.

"Was that necessary?" Laplace junior asked, as he looked at Morpheus. It didn't seem like he was amused with his name getting revealed in front of everyone.

"Now let's get back to the point-"

And times after times, of dying after dying, I barely managed to last about 23 seconds in this high-intensity fight. While I wanted to take one step further, increasing even a miniscule amount seemed impossible right now.

And once I was done with that, I got out of the white space and then looked at them with a smirk.

"Burn!" Zora mumbled slowly.

"A bouquet for the queen," I said as I threw those flowers at them. Because of the [Mana Surge] I could use mana freely right now, but the backlash would probably kill me.

And taking out an array, I threw it a bit farther on the left before I took out another.

Activating it right before those slashes from Zora came at me, I teleported myself away from there.

The mana cast was once again humongous, but given the situation, it didn't matter.

"Why rough darling? It's our first time. Enjoy it a little," I spoke with a smile plastered on my face, making them turn at me, look at each other and nod before jumping at me again.

Valencia and Alepsia wanted to join, but looking at my calm and relaxed face, they paused there.

[Fire of Hell!]

And then I used this skill before pouring an insane amount of mana into it as well.

Freya created a bunch of vines in the air behind me and Zora increased the intensity of the attack by at least a 100 folds.

But it all got burnt with that insane fire of hell.

I was already beyond the point of saving when I used more mana that my body can handle. And I will die as soon as the skill is over.... but until then, I wonder if I can get anything out of them.

"Who.. are you?" Zora asked as she moved in and created a spear out of water and began attacking me. Dodging them wasn't hard, but her skills allowed her to change the direction of the spear at will, so it made it tricky.

"The name is Adam. You must be Zora. What are your hobbies?" I asked with a calm face as I dodged her attacks, while Freya got behind me and used her spells to create a tree of life in the air that reduced the amount of mana I can use.

But all that happened was me needing to use 100 times more mana than I required before. Nothing much, to be honest.

And the fight continued as neither of them same to give up. Their eyes were tensed as they kept trying harder and harder.

Worry filled in their eyes as they looked at me.

"All right. This is enough, I guess," I stopped smiling as I looked at them with a serious expression, flying in the air with black and white wings.

And they too paused, as their eyes narrowed, while they prepared cautiously.

"One of us is going to die now," I spoke with my eyes dead serious and a bit of anger in my voice.

I could see their eyes shaken a little before [Mana Surge] was over and my body exploded because of overusing mana.
