"On that note. What's your purpose here?"
Hearing my question, he had a deep look on his face. As if contemplating whether to tell me or not, he put his hand on the chin and began rubbing it, before he turned to me again.
He observed me for a few moments before speaking," I am looking for ways to get even stronger. I have hit a bottleneck given my skill sets, so I was trying to find a way to unlock another restriction."
While I was surprised, it somehow made sense. It's a fantasy world after all.
"Hmmm. Is that so? I guess, it's quite a coincidence that we ended up meeting here then," I spoke as I recalled that I had 2 Restrictions unlocked but I needed more of them to unlock my complete [System!].
"Not really. Actually there is another Fate Weaver in this town. I was trying to locate him but I still can't find him," he seemed to be sighing as he observed the town and the sea beyond it. It was a breathtaking view, a calming relaxed scenery.
"Another one here?" Though I couldn't look at the scenery right now. My mind was totally focused on his words. Was it Luciana? Or was that masked person? Or perhaps someone else altogether?
Addition of Zero has already made me change my plans considerably. If there was another one, then I might have to scrap my intial plan entirely. Not really a fun thing to do at all.
"Yeah. You probably have heard about him too. His name is Adam, he was last seen entering this town but after that he vanished as if thin air."
"..."
And a dumb look appeared on my face as I saw him. His eyes were focused on the city, assessing everything around while I asked him,
"Is that so? Why do you want to meet him though?"
"To ask the location of the Primordials. Since he was strong enough to fend off a demi-god, and fight an inspector in hell, he must have at least 3 or 4 restrictions removed," he spoke as he gave a long sigh.
From what Enchantress told me, the first 2 restrictions were pretty much unlocked at the beginning and for others you need to meet the primordials. And if Zero thinks that I have more than that unlocked, then I guess it's obvious that he would also expect me to know the locations of the Primordials.
[Charm Magic: Rhythm!]
[Effect: Increases the natural frequency of charm magic in an area by 1!]
"Better," I smiled as I vanished from there as well, before appearing in front of the hotel where the Saintess was making reservation. Since they just arrived there, I guess I can make a coincidental meeting here.
'Hmmm. Is it too obvious?' Though I paused for a moment.
Because of the shift of the mana density along with my [Rhythm!] magic, I could feel the air getting more purer. Conversely it should make things difficult for people to breathe if they don't have enough mana proficiency.
'I think it's fine,' I then shove that worry at the back of my mind.
Symptoms like Cough, Fever and body cramps would be apparent, which will lead to more people taking help from the clinic. And in turn increasing the density even more.
'Creating an artificial domain using natural mana is going to be a pain in the ass... but it's gonna be worth it,' I smiled as I couldn't help but get excited at the end result of my masterpiece.
"It's the peak season mam. All our rooms are booked except the deluxe ones."
As I entered the reception hall, I heard the voice of the receptionist talking to the Saintess. It seemed like there was a problem going on between the two, probably related to the room and its price.
"But even then, 10 Gold per night is daylight robbery!" The saintess spoke out loud, as she glared at the smiling receptionist.
The city is becoming pretty lawless and disgusting. Everyone was trying to rob everyone. I guess, the owners of the hotel might have increased the price sky high to fill their own pockets and run away from the city.
It might be bad for business, but considering that the business will most likely cease to exist in a few weeks, I guess, this was pretty obvious as well. Just not for the people who were visiting the city.
And with that in mind, I moved towards the fuming saintess and asked,
"Excuse me but... are you... Everice?"
