Chapter 733: Patriarch Denon Part 1

Chapter 733: Patriarch Denon Part 1

As the dust that was once the young man scattered across the transportation room, the disciples from Moon Crest Academy all stared at Kana with fear in their eyes. They had just witnessed a qi condensation cultivator take out multiple peak foundation establishment cultivators with a wave of her hand, and with a single poke of her finger, she killed someone without even blinking an eye. They sensed no evil in her power. It was a strange power they had never seen before. And this made them very afraid. Afraid of the unknown and not knowing what would happen if they accidentally angered the young girl who did such things that should be impossible.

Ming Xiafan, who had already sent out a letter of challenge to Kana, was thanking the heavens that she had not received it yet and hoped to retract it as soon as possible. Qiao Song, while afraid, eyes flashed with a bit of greed. He wanted to make Kana his. Not his as a spirit beast but his wife. He felt that if he married Kana and made her his wife and have her birth children for him, his Qiao family would be able to rule the entire continent.

The others all had lost any hope of keeping their current ranking on the elite boards if Kana decided to challenge them. But while each one was harboring different thoughts, they all still wanted to see if Kana was strong enough to kill a demonic beast only a step away from being a divine beast. So they still chose to follow her to watch her fight the wind king ape.

Kana walked over to Elder Ning and was about to ask him if he could get them to activate the next transportation array when a heavy pressure began to weigh down on her, and a booming voice echoed out across the sky. "Who was it that killed my grandson!?"

"Patriarch Denon, it seems you have not taught your younger generation proper manners. Also, should an Elder be using his higher cultivation to bully the young ones?" Elder Ning looked at the old man with a cold gaze and then at his sect's disciples, who were all struggling to stand on their feet. But to his surprise, Kana did not look affected by it at all.

Kana could feel the old man's pressure weighing down on her, but for some reason, unlike before when she would struggle like the others, she felt his spirit pressure was nothing more than wearing some weights.

Patriarch Denon looked at Elder Ning and at the other disciples and snorted. He did not restrain his spirit pressure at all, in fact, he increased it even more. "I asked you who killed my grandson. If you do not answer, everyone here dies."

Elder Ning waved his hand and wrapped the others in his spiritual qi, relieving them of the spirit pressure. He wanted to do the same for Kana, but when he looked over at her, she shook her head. "I'm fine. Take care of them."

After saying this to Elder Ning, she turned her attention to the old man in the air. "Old bastard, it is no wonder your grandson was so stupid it runs in the family."

Kana did not like men all that much. Only a few are in her good books. But this old man reminded her of another certain old man who ruined her life.

---

At a poolside in Eden, An old man was relaxing with a drink in his hand when his nose began to itch. "Ahhh…. Ahhh…. Ahhhh, Choooo!"

A great wind blew from his nose down onto the mortal worlds causing world ending storms to form, destroying hundreds of worlds. "Oh shit!" The old man quickly waved his hand, recreating those worlds and returning them to their previous state. It was as if those worlds had never ended.

---

Kana's words caused Patriarch Denon's anger to rise even more as he increased his spirit pressure on Kana only. Kana snorted and began injecting her death element into the spirit power that was weighing down on her. It slowly followed the flow of where the spirit power was coming from.

Sensing something was off, Patriarch Denon quickly retrieved his spirit power and stared at Kana. "What are you?"

"Hmmm… you are quick to react. I guess that is much better than your grandson. The one you are looking for is me. I killed your grandson because he wanted me to die for no reason. My first time in your city, my first time ever seeing your grandson. I did not even speak to him, and he wanted me dead. Now tell me, did he not deserve to die?" Kana asked in a sarcastic tone. She showed the old man no respect.

"Even if he was wrong, there was no reason to kill him. It looks to me like you are perfectly fine." Patriarch Denon answered as he looked down at Kana. The look in his eyes was as if he wanted to murder Kana ten times over. But he was wary of the strange feeling he got just now. His instincts told him that this young girl was not simple.

"Oh? So you're saying when he sends guards to kill me that if I spanked his butt and told him to go home after dealing with the guards, he would have listened to me and did what I say? Are you so old that you turned stupid? You must know how much of an arrogant idiot your grandson was. Can you say he wouldn't have tried to get revenge on me? Are you saying that his prejudice can be overlooked? His death can be considered your own fault for not properly raising him into a decent human being." Kana's words seemed to have struck a chord with the old man. His face contorted left and right because he knew his grandson was no good, but he could and would not allow his Denon family to be looked down upon.

"No matter what he did, it was not up to you to kill him!" Patriarch Denon seemed to be growing impatient.

"Oh? Is that so? Then would you like to ask him if he deserved to die or not?"
