Chapter 778: Sometimes Rain Falls From The Eyes Part 1
The sound of thunder filled the sky. Black and grey clouds began to form overhead. Within seconds they had covered the entire sky. Kana swallowed her saliva as she clenched her eyes closed. She began to circulate the spiritual qi in her body, getting it ready to slam against the doors that were locked tight to rank ten qi condensation.
*Bang!*
A loud bang could be heard coming from within Kana. She bit her lip to try to dim the pain. She felt like her dantian was about to be ripped apart. She could only grit her teeth and attack over and over until finally, a tear in the wall formed before it finally collapsed. At the same time, a loud roar came from the sky as a streak of purple lightning shot down from the heavens.
*Boom!*
The first strike landed on the five array barriers, causing the first layer to shatter like a rock through a pane of glass. Kana's eyes shot open when she heard the shattering sound, her face growing pale. Seconds later, another more powerful purple lightning fell down, this time destroying two of her array barriers.
"Am I really going to die?" Kana felt a cold chill run down her spine. She stared fearfully up at the dark clouds. She had no idea that tribulations were so scary. Her first one was done inside a mystic realm which lowered its power some. But what was more was that she had also taken shelter inside the mimic. She did not even seem to need to undergo tribulation her second time. She had no idea how it worked, but she had jumped many levels during her breakthrough to rank ten qi gathering.
But now…. "Two left…." Kana wished she had prepared more. If she had prepared more, she might have been able to survive this. It was not like she could run away either. The tribulation would follow her wherever she went. She had chosen this spot as it was away from her family. She reminded them many times to not come near this location during this time, or they could die.
Tears began to roll down her cheeks as she watched the last two barriers shatter and the purple lightning slamming down onto her body. "Ahhh!"
Her entire body seemed to have lost control. The tribulation lightning had entered her body and was rampaging inside her. She gritted her teeth and as she started to get mad. Yes, she was getting mad. She had never done anything to this world, and yet it wished to destroy her. "Do you think I will let you beat me like this!?"
Kana did not wish to be overtaken. She began circulating her spiritual qi in her body and decided she would turn this lightning into her own power. She closed her eyes and began to fight. Her spiritual qi chased after the tribulation lightning that was rampaging inside her and wrapped around it, and began to pull it towards her dantian.
If anyone knew what she was doing, they would think she was mad. Bringing tribulation lightning into her dantian was just asking to become crippled. But this was exactly what Kana was doing. She may not have realized it, but her entire body was now sparking with lightning. Another crack in the world's seal had been formed, her death element was still sealed up, but this time it was her lightning element that was leaking out. Kana had arcs of lightning coming off her body, making her look like a lightning celestial. Her hair fluttered under the power emanating out of her body.
Because this power was from her own magic, it did not matter how much she generated it could stream out endlessly. The clouds above seemed to stir and had taken the lightning coming off Kana's body as a challenge. Purple lightning began gathering under the dark clouds, slowly transforming into some kind of beast.
Watching from the sky a safe distance away, the sect master, Elder Ning and Lord Yong all stood there with pale faces. "What the hell is that!?" The sect master yelled out.
"A heavenly lightning beast!" Lord Yong yelled out in surprise. "I only ever heard about it. Only those who go against the heavens are able to create such a thing. This girl…. If she survives this, she will be much more powerful than before."
"She is not from this world, so it is normal for her to be going against the heavens. That old man told me that she needs to keep growing stronger to move on to the next plane of existence and finally tear the heavens apart and leave this world altogether. She and her family are oddities of this world." Elder Ning explained as he hoped with his entire being that she would be able to pass this tribulation. He had taken a liking to Kana and saw her as his own daughter and grandchild. Someone he wished no harm to come to. He had seen how hard she works and how much she cares for others. She was kind and ill suited for the cultivation world, but he knew her path was still long. At least now, she was not alone. Her family was there for her to cover up what she lacked. She was blessed by the heavens while at the same time hated and feared by it.
Back on Kana's side as the lightning beast that looked like a large bull with horns formed, it did not hesitate to charge forward and charge at Kana. Kana still had her eyes closed and was fighting with the tribulation lightning inside her trying to refine it with everything she had. She had no idea the danger that was about to slam down upon her.
But just before the lightning beast arrived, a black cloud of death element suddenly poured out of Kana and began taking shape in front of her. "This mother of mine is really a handful…." A cold yet warm sounding voice sounded in the air. If Kana were to open her eyes, she would see a young man cloaked in black standing in front of her.
