Chapter 792: The World Of Belda Part 1

"Hello, adventure…."

"Hello, adventure…."

"Hello, adventure…."

"Hello, adventure…."

"Okay! Hello!" Kana yelled out. She was just lost in thought for a few moments, and the stupid thing kept repeating the same line over and over.

"Welcome to the wonderful World of Belda!" The robot spread its arms out wide as it spoke enthusiastically.

"I don't get it." Kana really did not understand what was going on. She wanted to know why this robot was welcoming her to some strange world when she was in a dimly lit stone room.

"So umm…. Can you explain to me what is going on and why you trapped me in here?" Kana asked.

"Good question. You are the one hundredth person to come to this room over the past six million years. Out of the ninety nine participants who tried to beat the World of Belda, none have passed! They all tried their best, but none of them…." As the robot hologram went on about this and that, Kana was staring at a much familiar HUD that she had not seen in such a long time.

"It really worked!" Kana's eyes lit up when she saw her status screen. She had not seen it in so long! "This will help a lot as I grow stronger, allowing me to understand what I am lacking. But… Why did it show up now? Is it because I discovered this place?"

Kana was slightly confused, but she was happy nonetheless. The hologram had stopped talking some time ago and was tapping its robot foot with its arms crossed across its chest. "Are you done!? You are supposed to listen to the story!"

Kana pursed her lips as she closed her status screen and looked at the robot. "Go on…."

The gist of the story was that the World of Belda was a game created by a race of highly advanced people. They were masters of the god runes and were able to create anything they wanted through the use of these runes. This included the game World of Belda. The game was set up to allow those who passed to learn how to use god runes. In other words, Kana stumbled into a place that allowed her to inherit a craft that had been lost in time. As to why this somehow unlocked her system again, she did not know. She only knew that it was now working. But if she had to guess, it was probably because the game World of Belda was similar to the system enough to have the restrictions on her system vanish.

While she did not feel stronger because the rest was still locked away, she could at least see her progression. And from the looks of it, some of her elemental masteries had gone up by a lot, which meant that being on this world has been helping her work towards her next evolution requirement.

What really surprised her was that her lightning element had jumped by leaps and bounds. She wondered if this was the result of her refining tribulation lightning. If this was the case she wondered just how much she would need to refine to get one hundred percent.

"Okay, so I just need to beat your game in order to leave, correct? Is there not a way to forfeit before dying?" While Kana was curious about these god runes, she did not wish to die to get the inheritance. She wondered if she could forfeit if she was in danger.

"No, you must pass or die." The robot replied.

"But is that not a bit unfair? I mean, I was locked in here by you, and now you are forcing a trial on me when I never wanted to take one in the first place. How about letting me forfeit if I pass a certain point?" Kana figured that she probably would not be able to get the stupid robot to let her leave right now, so she could only ask if she could leave if she progressed far enough.

After a moment of silence, the robot nodded its head: "The rules do state that if you reach the halfway point, you are offered a chance to leave. But if you decide to continue, you will lose that chance."

"Fair enough." Kana nodded. At least she could leave if she found things too difficult.

"Then please create your character." The robot said as a large holographic screen popped up in front of Kana.

Kana looked at the screen that had a choice between male and female characters. She hit the female one, and seconds later, she saw a mirror image of herself in the window. Off to the side was the same exact stats that her own system screen had. "I will just keep it all the same."

She hit the button that says accept, causing the screen to close. "Character created, the game will now begin. During the dark days of the ancestry…"

Kana's mouth dropped open as the robot began narrating this entire backstory to the World of Belda. The story went on and on. Kana ended up sitting down and drawing on the ground with rocks. Basically, the story told about a demon king who wants to destroy the world of Belda, and the only way to save the world was to rescue the princess and use her unique light magic to kill the demon king. It was just that the robot's version has now lasted over four hours….
