Chapter 876 Poor Little An
Silence fell over the area. No birds, no wind. It was as if time itself stopped in the presence of Kana's majestic adult form. Her shadow fell over the land spreading out in all directions. She was the queen of this area, and there was nothing anyone could do about it. This was the aura in the air at this time.
Some of the divine beasts in the air fell to the ground, and only those with a stronger will were barely hanging on. This included the colorful chicken that had questioned Kana before. But even now, he was trembling in fear. The presence of a higher being. Someone who was able to control the thoughts of those lower than themselves. It was what it meant to be a ruler, and the dragon before them was said ruler. The colorful chicken did not dare raise his head. He shook like a leaf in Kana's presence.
"Well… what will it be? Will you still try to question what I am doing? Will you still try to take what I claim is mine? Or should I destroy your entire existence from this plane and make it so you can never reincarnate again?" Kana knew she was acting like a gangsta, but she did not care. Her family needed this demonic qi, and she would not give it up.
"We-We wouldn't dare, your excellency! We had no idea this area belonged to your excellency. We will not dare tread on an area you claim as your own." The colorful birds studied flipped as he became subservient to Kana. He did not wish to die. He did not wish to be wiped out of existence with no chance of reincarnation. He was a grand phoenix. And even he who is said to be more majestic than any dragon from this realm could not hold a candle to this dragon's presence. He knew this dragon was not even from this plane. There was no way. Such an existence was unheard of. If there was one, he would definitely know about it. So he saw no shame in groveling at the feet of such an existence.
The old goat and Little An, both held each other as they shivered on the deck of the flying boat. They never in their wildest dreams would have expected that the young woman who said she would protect them was such a majestic being. The dragon before them was like a godlike being, something they could only ever dream of reaching.
Kana snorted as her body began to shrink down once more. She returned to her humanoid form and stared at the colorful chicken. "Take your people and leave. I will be putting up a barrier in this area that no one will be able to get through, so clear the area out by the end of the day. Do you understand?"
"Yes! I will do as you say, your excellency!" The colorful chicken quickly answered. He had no choice. He would rather do this than the other option.
"Mmm… good. Now apologize to them. You scared them." Kana said, pointing at the old goat and Little An. The colorful chicken, at this point and time, wanted to cry. He wondered if this dragon was a bit of an airhead. Did she not realize it was herself who caused them to shiver in fear as they were!?
Although he had many complaints, he dared not voice any of them out. He turned to the humans and bowed his head as he said: "I-I am sorry for scaring you…." He truly wished to cry.
The old goat and the Little An stared at the colorful chicken in a daze, unsure how to respond. It was only the old goat who finally said. "Ah… it's fine…."
Kana nodded her head as she said: "Mmm, good! Now then. Hurry up and do what I asked. I do not have all day.">
"Y-Yes!" The colorful chick and his group quickly spread and began moving any operations they had in the area, not daring to leave a single thing behind. They feared what Kana might do if she was angered.
After the divine beasts scattered, Kana turned and looked at the master and disciple pair, who were now pressing their heads against the wood of the flying boat's deck. "Uh…. What are you doing?"
"We were impudent earlier! We hope you can forgive us!" The old goat replied while shaking he realized now how rude he was to such a being.
"Ummm, okay? Anyway, where is the best city to get souvenirs at? I want to buy a few things for my family." Kana ignored the sudden apology since she did not get it. But she figured since she came to a new continent that she would buy everyone a little something.
"The Hoyland would probably be your best bet…." The old goat had to say this through gritted teeth because he knew he was bringing a walking disaster into the city. If someone angered her, the entire city might just be destroyed.
"Then let's head there after I finish dealing with things here. Hopefully, I can find something my family will like. Also… are there any good places with delicious meat there?" Kana's eyes flashed. She wanted to try some of the meat here as well.
"There are quite a few places…." The Old Goat trembled. He looked over at his disciple and let out a long breath. "My disciple Little An can be your guide around the city."
"Huh? Master!?" Little An looked at her Master with wide eyes and a look that asked are you abandoning me!?
"Oh really? That would be great!" Kana smiled and knelt down in front of Little An and took her hands. "I will be in your care." While she was smiling and looked friendly, to Little An, it was like a death sentence!
"Yes…" She could only utter a single word as she was afraid that saying any more would end her little life sooner. She had been a crowning achievement of the Holyland, her Master's pride and joy, but now she was being abandoned. She did not know what to make of all of th
