Chapter 889 Cleaning Up
"You!?" The man's whole body was covered in sweat. He felt locked down. He could only think about his one and only love. The girl he had worked so hard to bring back to life only to find that his own strength was not enough to fend off her one and only enemy. He forced his body to turn, wanting to run, but he still couldn't take a step. He turned his head, not to look at Kana but at a faraway star cluster many light years away.
"Don't worry, you will feel nothing. And.... I am sorry. But you can not exist." At that moment, on a far away planet, high on a frozen mountain top, a woman in a white dress looked up at the sky. She had the same appearance as Kana, only slightly older. Her face was pale as she looked up at the starry sky. "Dronal..... It seems.... It seems I will be joining you soon....."
"It's strange...." A voice came from behind the woman. She turned and looked at the young woman whose face matched her own and smiled knowingly. "It is strange...."
"You must have died lonely...." Kana's voice was soft as she walked over to the her of the past. "Do you hate me?"
At Kana's question, the woman shook her head. "No... I should not have been revived in the first place. Dornal spent millions of years just trying to bring me back to life. I know I do not belong here. I even scolded him for it. But to think the me of this time would still look like me well... at least in the face and body." The woman smiled slightly. "I am ready to be consumed."
"You are only returning to where you rightfully belong. You will continue to live on inside me. We will only be becoming one. As it should have been since the dawn of time. You are me, and I am you." Kana replied cryptically, but the woman seemed to fall into a daze at Kana's words.
"You are me, and I am you... I see.... That was why I felt so off. I am only a fragment.... The true body has always been you...." The woman smiled as she looked warmly upon Kana. "Then allow me to return to where I belong."
Kana nodded as she stepped forward and embraced the Kana of her past. This Kana hugged her back before slowly turning into a black fog and being sucked into Kana's body. At that moment, a power surged up inside her and spread out across the universe. Kana's turned to look off in a certain direction. "It seems there is more there."
Kana disappeared from the mountain top. The snowflakes fell down onto the ground where the Kana of the past once stood. The mountain top that had been the place where a love between two people had expanded the notion of life and death, but sadly was never meant to be. Dornal had loved Kana but never got her to recuperate his feelings. When he finally felt like his dream would come to fruition. He was turned into nothingness as if he never existed at all. His soul, his body, the very fabric of his being disappeared without a trace.
Kana did feel bad for doing what she had done, but there was nothing she could do about it. There were two reasons why she did not hesitate. First was the fact that the man she had killed was not allowed to love her. And the second was that she made a promise to the old man. And she was one who kept her promises.
When Kana reappeared next, she found herself in front of a large metal spaceship. She stepped forward once more and entered the ship. There was not a single living soul on the ship, but there was one thing that made tears roll down her cheeks. Black fog trapped inside a large orb stuck in eternal suffering, never allowed to escape. Kana already knew where this place was. The man she met on the mountain top mentioned he had tormented her past sleeves and did many horrible things to them.
Kana placed her hand on the orb as she gazed at the blog fog. As if reacting to her presence, the god rushed towards the only window on the metal orb. "Don't worry.... You will return soon."
With a loud crack, the orb broke open, and the black fog flowed into Kana. Tears dripped from her eyes as she felt the pain, anguish, and humility of her past lives. Once all the black fog merged with her, Kana snapped her fingers, causing the entire ship to turn into nothingness. She wanted no trace of her past lives' horrors.
Kana, at this time, was an emotional mess. She had too many bad memories swirling around her mind. She stepped through space to where her handsome husband was in the new forge he had just created and waved her hand, sealing it off before pulling her lover into her arms....
Outside in the garden, Mei Ling sat with her sisters on a large blanket with a basket full of sandwiches. "Why is Mama taking so long?"
"Something might have happened. We should just start. She might now be back anytime soon." Rain replied.
"I guess so...." Mei Ling pursed her lips. She wanted to have a picnic with her Mama but it seemed today was not a good day.
"Don't worry we are all here so we can have one with you." Yana said as she rubbed Mei Ling's head. Mei Ling finally cracked a smile as she took a sandwich out of the basket and bit into it. "Mmmm! Sister Rain, your food is soo good!"
Back on the ship Eie finally came out of her room, her cheeks rosy as can be. But when she saw Misaki she flew over and asked: "Misaki, why are you wearing those on your head?"
"Hmm? Master told me to wear panties so I wore them...." Misaki replied with a smile.
"I think she meant to cover up your privates!" Eie yelled.
"But I can't rub servos well with fabric in the way!"
"That's not the point you stupid robot!"
