Chapter 953: Eye For An Eye, Head for A Head

The Wang clan head gritted his teeth. In all his years after taking up the clan head position, he had never been put into such a humiliating situation. But for now, he had no choice but to comply. "I will do as you say…."

"Mmm… Good. General Song, do it." Kana said coldly. General Song did not hesitate to walk over and strike down with his sword cutting the head off the Wang clan's young master. Kana stood up from her throne and slowly stepped towards the head that was rolling towards her and picked it up. Her bare feet leaving footprints in the blood that lead up to the headless body as she made her way to the Wang clan head. "This young man died with regrets. Do you know why?"

Kana's words were directed at the Wang clan head who slowly raised his head to see Kana holding his son's head in front of his face. Her eyes were filled with coldness as she said: "Because his father did not teach him right from wrong. Do you know what it means to kill someone? Do you know what it means to take an innocent child from their parents? And then send only the head back?"

The Wang clan head had no idea how to answer. He never thought about such things before since doing such things was normal in this world. Kana snorted as she tapped the skull of the Wang clan's young master. A soul popped out and tried to fly away but before it could Kana snatched it and turned it into a door ornament. She then turned and handed it to General Song. "For your door. His soul will die and be reborn over and over in an endless cycle of pain. And you can place it on your door to show people what will happen to them if they dare mess with your Family again."

Even General Song who had seen many atrocities in his life had cold chills running down his back. But he still took the door ornament. He felt this was perfect retribution for the crimes committed against his daughter. He then dropped to one knee and bowed his head: "Your Majesty, I swear an oath here and now to the heavens that my Song family will never betray you and will follow you through thick and thin even if we have to bleed every last drop of my Song family bloodline."

"General Song, loyalty is good but cherish life as well. Now go home and prepare for your daughter's funeral and when it's time let me know I will be there to pay respects." Kana understood the feeling of losing a child. She thought she had lost her own babies once. If it was not for her power of being the Goddess of death at that time she would have lost them for sure.

With the head in her hand, she placed it in front of the Wang clan head and then burnt the rest of the body to ash. She never planned to give the body to the Wang clan since they did not return General Song's daughter's body. It was an eye for an eye, a head for a head. This was how she would do things until everyone fell in line with her new rules.

"Wang clan head, I will tell you now. When you get back those girls better be set free without any harm or you will face worse consequences. I might give General Song another door ornament featuring your soul. So make sure you and your family follow the rules like good boys and girls or you will not live a good life." After saying this Kana turned and walked back to her throne and sat down. Before saying: "You can send those girls to the palace. I will give them jobs where they can live a better life."

In other words, this was her way of making sure that the girls were freed and at the same time giving them protection from the Wang clan. She can't always watch over them but if they are in the palace she can at least keep them safe behind the palace walls.

When the Wang clan head returned home with a box with his son's head in it his face was black. He never thought he would have to witness such a scene. But he now had a strong lingering fear of this new empress. "Clan head! Where is the young master?"

"We are holding a clan meeting! Call everyone back immediately! They must be here within the hour!" The Wang clan head had to change plans. For now, he must abide by the rules until he could get his hands on one of the empress's daughters.

An hour later the room was filled with clan elders and side family heads along with their wives and children. This was no ordinary meeting as this dealt with everyone in the clan. "Clan head everyone is here except the third young master…."

"He is here!" The Wang clan head bellowed as he tossed the box with his son's head in it on the floor. Seeing this everyone gasped, and some of the women even screamed out. The girls who suffered under the third young master all had looks of happiness on their faces. While the Wang clan head wanted to kill them all he couldn't. He knew he was being watched. "Third young master's concubines are all going to the palace this instant. Leave everything and take what you have on your body and go now!"

The girls did not even hesitate to rush out the door leaving behind a bewildered family. None of them understood what was going on. "Clan head this!?"

"Husband, what happened to my Hai'er!?" A woman in her forties yelled out as she ran over to the head on the floor.

"This good for nothing son you raised almost got our entire family wiped out! From now on we are not to stir up any trouble. I do not care how much you have to grit your teeth and bear it. Do not cause trouble!" The Wang clan head yelled out. He looked at his clan members who all had strange looks on their faces and snorted. "If you had seen what I had seen you would understand. The new empress is not someone we can mess with at this time. Or else you might just have your soul ripped out of your body and turned into a door ornament!"

These words caused every one of the Wang clan members to shiver. They had no idea it was anything like that. But this did not mean everyone was happy about this kind of outcome either.
