The feeling of knowing you have someone besides you was new to Hina. Kana's words of her welcoming her into her family hit her strongly. She fell to her knees and began bawling her eyes out as Kana and Aoi looked on with soft smiles.
Sadly this warm moment only lasted a few seconds when hundreds of figures suddenly appeared in the skies around them. "You there. Lizard girl, hand over the green haired girl this instant. We have been waiting thousands of years for her to release her wind wall."
Hina, who still had tears in her eyes, face paled as she sank into Aoi's embrace. She did not wish to be taken away, not now. Not when she was willing to take the first step in trusting someone. She wondered if Kana, who she had just made a contract with, was going to give her up now that these powerful people had arrived.
"Huh?" Kana turned and looked at the old men in the air. They were all wrinkled with long hair. Only a few still looked young. "Why would I hand over one of my family members? Are you the ones who have tortured Hina all this time?"
p "You! Do you even know who we are!? Do you think you can do anything with all of us here?" One of the old men yelled out.
"Why would I care about a bunch of old men and ladies who are so old that they might die of a heart attack if they were angered too much? Anyway, setting your oldness aside…." Kana's eyes turned cold as killing intent began to exude her body as she asked icily: "Are you the ones who forced Hina to have to hide all by herself all this time?"
"Heh…. We found her first, and we will take her now. She will make a good tonic and will allow all of us to surpass the primordial realm and break free from this world!" One of the old ladies answered.
"Oh? You wish to turn my family member into a tonic. Then I guess you don't mind becoming door ornaments." Kana snorted as she snapped her fingers. Seconds later, hundreds of crystal orbs slowly flew over to Kana. Each one had a person inside burning in flames. "If you were not so evil, none of this would have happened."
Hina stared at the crystal orbs and watched as Kana took out a tree that had more crystal orbs on it. The new crystal orbs floated up and gently attached to the tree and then were put away as if no one had ever showed up in the first place.
"Now then. Hina, never fear about someone treating you badly. I will protect you from everything." Kana said with a smile as she gently embraced Hina. Hina was still trying to comprehend everything that had just happened, but she did come to one realization. She had really made the right choice. Her eyes slowly closed as she relaxed in Kana's embrace.
After spending some time comforting Hina, Kana had both Aoi and Hina go into their space while she left for her Empire. It was finally time for her to say goodbye to her son Keith and head for the soulist realm back in her own universe. She planned to go speak to a certain Old Dan and give him a few punches. And then check things back in the mortal realm and head to hell to see how things are going there.
"Keith, no matter what happens, if you can not handle it yourself, just call out to me, and Mama will come back and handle it for you, okay?" Kana rubbed Keith's head. The current empress sat at the side and chuckled at the blushing cheeks of her husband.
"Mother, can't you give me some face? I am the emperor now…. " Keith pursed his lips, but his words caused Kana to frown.
"What happened to the little kid who would call me Mama all the time!? What is this mother stuff? Come on, say it! Say, Mama!" Kana pulled on Kieth's cheeks, causing his embarrassment to rise even more. What made things worse was that there was a room full of officials, and they were all smiling away.
"Mama, please stop!" Keith finally yelled out with great effort. But seeing his Mama smile, he could never be mad at her. He was pulled into her warm embrace as she said: "Keith, take care of yourself. Do not think you are alone because I will always be watching. When the time comes, and you wish to let go of your reign to the next generation, I will come pick you and Little Yuyu up."
Little Yuyu was Keith's wife. They had three children together, two of which were sons. He did not have any concubines or anything like that. Keith smiled and nodded his head. "I will. Mama, stay safe."
"Empress Dowager! We wish you a safe journey." The officials suddenly all prostrated themselves in front of Kana. These were the same people who helped her during her reign, and each one of them saw Kana as their goddess. She had made a world within a world within their empire. It was a place with such high technology no one dared to stir up trouble with the Devan Empire.
"I wish you all long lives. Good luck." Kana gave Keith a kiss on the forehead before hugging Little Yuyu and disappearing. Everyone else had already said their goodbyes. Now it was time.
It was finally time to break free from this realm and return to their own universe. The journey was long but rewarding. Back on the ship, Kana walked over and sat in the captain's chair on the bridge and looked out the window at the field of stars in front of her. "Eie, I will now breach the dimensional wall. Careful making your way through. I will also double the barriers on the ship just in case."
Eie clapped her hands excitedly as she yelled out: "Alright! Ready when you are, Kana!"
