It was evening time, and Kana lay in Creige's arms after a few rounds of dip the meat stick. Creige looked down at the girl who was playing with her hair and asked: "When do you plan to finish the Cline family?"
"When my sister and sister in law are finished in the land of the dead. I do not want to move on until they are here. After all, it is an experience that one can only live through once. Stepping into Aurora, the second to last stop before Eden. Tilia and Kiliffia will also be here soon as well. Then we sisters will finally be together again. It has been a long time." Kana replied. The reason why she was just playing around was because she wanted everyone to move to this new land together. While her children would be staying behind and she was laying a solid foundation for them, she still slightly hoped to move on quickly.
Her life so far was all leading up to this point. The people in Aurora might not be a match for her, but her Handsome Husband could finally find a challenge for himself. She would get to watch as her family grew stronger before her very eyes. A new land, a new place, she knew there would be a power struggle, but she did not care. She wanted to do things one step at a time. She would allow her Handsome Husband to handle things, and she would stay at his side and only step in when needed. She knew her final stop would not be Aurora or Eden but much further away. Even now, her elementals were all taking a break and relaxing on the ship.
The Sea of Stars was just a meeting point for her to meet up with the others. She had always planned for it to be that way, but when she refined her memories of her time here, she decided to fix the things she regretted during that lifetime. Now her son, who was the rightful heir to the Sea of Stars, would be able to take his place on the throne once they left. She worried but she also knew he would be okay. He had become the god of death and had all the powers she had. The only thing she really had to do here after she took things over was return to a certain village.
"Kana?" Creige saw Kana deep in thought and worried that she was thinking too much about things like she always does.
"It's nothing…. I plan to head out tomorrow. There was one last place I needed to go. The place where everything between you and me began." Kana replied with a smile as she nuzzled into Creige's chest.
"Should I go with you?" Creige asked. He was worried about her going to a place full of pained memories.
"No. This is something I must do on my own…."
The next morning, Kana disappeared from bed. Creige woke up to his bed being empty and sighed. He knew where she was going and wanted to join her, but he had to respect her wishes.
Kana hovered in the air over a forested area. This place was not always a forest but was once a village for her kind, the Nephilim. Kana floated down from the sky and through the treetops to see forest overgrowth taking over the broken buildings that once represented her people's village.
Kana remembered the day she sat staring at the destruction of her village. The day she had been left alone. It was then that she thought she had become a cursed child and roamed aimlessly with only the thought of revenge on her mind. She met many people during that time, but all of them ended up hurt in some way. Only Creige…. "Heh… In the end, he still died…." Kana felt her eyes watering up. He might have stayed alive the longest, but Creige still died during that time….
Kana walked over and traced her fingers over the stones that once made up part of a wall and remembered the happiness she once had here. She smiled softly as the images of her running around as a kid came to mind. The kids her own age roamed the streets with her. All of them…. A thought came to mind. "I will need to deal with the family who kicked us out…."
They had only come to this realm due to an issue in the family. The goddess of Life was no more, and she now had both powers mixed into one. She wondered what they would think when she suddenly arrived on their doorstep and destroyed their home. She wondered just how the clan she was from would act when they could not do a thing to her because she was too powerful. "You tossed us aside. So I will toss you aside as well. You can all come to the Sea of Stars and live under my son's rule. Mm…. we will use the place that should be my ancestral home as my new home when we reach aurora."
"Why are you thinking crazy things again?" An old man suddenly appeared next to Kana. Kana was not scared this time as she leaned her head on his shoulder.
"I just want to deal with everything that happened in my past life. Is there anything wrong with that?" Kana asked.
"No. But remember, act in moderation. Look at the things happening around Aurora. It is unlike the other places you have been to thus far. It is much more dangerous, and there are people more powerful than your own family. But I am sure, with you protecting them, you can save them in case something happens." the old man replied.
Kana nodded and stood up straight as she stretched her arms. "Maybe instead of starting something as soon as we get there, we can just claim a spot. What do you say? Give my family and me a farmhouse?"
The old man chuckled as he ruffled Kana's hair. He looked at her with warm eyes and nodded. "I will prepare a spot for your family to go to. But remember, it will be up to you to expand things from there. You might even want to hit the academy there. It will be a perfect place for you to learn not just about Aurora but many things."
