1145 Soti
The long, dark tunnel finally went on for what seemed like days. But Kana and her family did not stop moving forward. They continued on until, finally, it opened up to a well-lit room that had a signboard over a door.
"Mama, what does it say?" Angelica frowned. The symbols on the board looked similar to the symbols she had seen before, so she figured her Mama could understand what was written.
"It says if you have arrived here, then good job. You are one step away from actually doing something." Kana pursed her lips and yelled at the sign: "Who wrote this!? This is so rude!" Nia, who was at the side, wanted to tell her mama it was her, but she kept her mouth closed. She figured it would be best not to say a word. n-/0VeLbIn
"Anyway.... It says in order to proceed, we will need to answer three questions. And under that, it says number one and a question next to it. It asks, what is the most important thing to you." Kana sighed as she looked at the words.
"What is most important to you? What kind of question is that!?" Angelica did not even know how to answer such a question!
"The answer is simple.... Kana smiled and looked at Angelica, who had Ishtar standing next to her. Isn't it family?"
"Ding! You are correct!" A voice suddenly filled the room. It was just that the voice sounded very familiar! Everyone turned to look at Kana, who was standing there feeling smug since she got the answer right.
"Big Sister Nia, this place....." Rain turned to Nia at the side and whispered.
"You are thinking right. Mama created this...." Nia whispered back. "We shouldn't say anything, though."
"Right..." Rain also felt they should not say anything else, or their Mama might have a meltdown. This seemed to be the consensus of everyone there who looked at Kana, who was still smiling away at her accomplishment.
"Just leave it to your mother. Since she was the one who made this place, she is probably the only one who could come up with the correct answers." Creige felt this was the best course of action. With how open these questions are, it would be almost impossible to get a correct answer.
"Question two!" The voice rang out, and the text on the board changed once more.
"Ummm... It asks why is eating vegetables bad." Kana pondered for a second before shouting: "Because it is not meat!"
"Ding! Correct!" the voice once more announced.
"Hehe, I am a genius!" Kana felt very proud of herself. She still had not realized the voice was her own. Everyone held back any remarks they were thinking. While they loved Kana, sometimes she was just....
"Next question!" The text on the board changed yet again.
"If two things were falling from the sky. One was a leg of roasted meat, and the second was a bomb that could destroy the entire world, which one would you choose to stop?" The question being asked was one that would stop anyone from progressing further, all except Kana....
"The meat, of course! We can just go someplace else. If the world blew up, why would I want to give up a good leg of meat? Meat is like heaven if you roast it just right, the juices come out and begi-slurp... begin letting out that fatty goodness that just makes me-slurp, want to eat it all day...." Kana answered, and there was a long silence before...
"Ding! Ding! Ding! Whoever you are is now my kindred spirit! You are absolutely right! Now, while you are able to proceed, one last question that will give you a small prize. If one of the falling objects was not a bomb but an orphan girl with no family, what would be your answer then?" The voice asked. It seemed like it was talking directly from Kana.
"The girl. Why would I let a child die?" Kana's tone this time was very serious as she answered. She could never let a child die in front of her. She already stained her hands with enough blood.
"Correct!" The voice rang out, and a small window suddenly opened up in front of them. An item covered in a black aura appeared in front of them, giving off a heavy pressure. Seeing this item, Nia's eyes went wide. "This sword!"
"Nia, you know this sword?" Kana asked.
"Yes, it is the sword that you once wiel..." Before Nia could finish answering. The sword tattoo on Kana's arm suddenly awakened and shot forth toward the sword in front of them.
A buzzing sound filled the air as the sword being displayed in front of them suddenly rose in the air and shot wards Kana's sword. The two swords suddenly crashed into each other, but instead of causing them to fall to the ground, the two swords suddenly merged together, revealing a long, black, sleek sword with a white hilt. The sword danced in the air before suddenly turning into a puff of smoke and shooting towards Kana. With out Kana even being able to react, a small figure hugged her face. "Master!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The figure that appeared was half black and half white. It looked human but had fairy wings and two small horns on its head that looked very sharp. "Master, you finally put me all together again! I knew one day Master would do it!"
Kana was stunned by this turn of events. Her sword just turned into a little person! She turned and looked at Nia in confusion, who only smiled and said: "This is your sword, Soti. Soti stands for the slaughter of time. She has the ability to cut through time itself and make everything she touches cease to exist."
"Hmmm?" Soti pursed her lips and turned towards Nia, who had just spoken, and frowned slightly. "Well, if it isn't the big missy who used to pull on my wings! "
